Backup TA partition
Unlock bootloader
flash last lollipop by flashtool
Flash kernel kitkat via flashtool in hotboot mode (fastboot option for flash) (provide by you)
when phone reboot, push volume - when led flash
flash superuser (or nut's dual recovery) by recovery after choose fix su before reboot
hard reboot phone (power + vol +)
clean your phone
relock bootloader
reflash TA partition
all file for root or dual recovery here : https://mega.co.nz/#!ZdARCSIB!p1bSDiYls1cwIve-qC4qdxuXYU0Ilt9pMJPL_z7-qhA
all work fine but not flash boot.img by fastboot directly
TEST ON LOCKED BOOTLOADER MAYBE WORK IT
Or reflash stock kitkat with flashtool and exclude userdata and cache
or reflash an lolillop and exclude user data also
Thanks for your concern.. But could you make it more simple?!!
And another question can i restore the lost data?!!

Hi,
I'm new and quite a newbie with android so, please bare with me
I will try to write a comprehensive guide on this during the process.
My device is XperiaSL LT26ii / Android 4.1.2 / Kernel 6.2.B.1.96 (stock, or default kernel) Rooted with bootloader locked. Busybox installed.
So the only thing I'v done after buying is rooting it.
- How to fully-backup / recovery if anything goes wrong
Before doing any operation with it I wanted to backup everything (applications, ROM, System, documents) , and I hear that there is CWM or Xrecovery for that (mentioned in some guides), nandroid, but I found different applications on Playstore and don't know which one is the right one for my device.
I understand that backing up and restoring each of these system parts requries order and probably different applications,
Can we specify here which app should I use and how it's done?
- ROM and Kernel without unlocking possibly
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593806 it looks like possible but considering that now there is cm-11 out and not yet for "nozomi" http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=nozomi , I would like to try any stable, fast , light ROM out there which works for my device. Preferibly with possibility to remove any google app .
If not, how can I unlock the bootloader and do the rest?
I saw also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617219 which looks a nice kernel.
So , what's the most adaptive ROM / kernel for my phone and how to install / flash them?
- Getting back the applications
Once it's done, how to restore back applications and data? / with what tool, without loosing anything.
Download flashtool (xda fileserver)
You can use that to unlock your bootloader
Also backbuton = volume up = BOOTLOADET MODE
Menu button = volume down =flashmode
May come in useful for unlocking your Bootloader
Also emma flashtool isnt the same as this flashtool
Also google if your not sure
If you want to know anything else then ask
Sony Xperia S was my first android
Had a nokia brick before (3310)/N95)

Thanks.
Before unlocking the bootloader , I'd like to backup everything with CWM or Xrecovery or nandroid ,
I tried installing CWM but it said my phone was not supported, so I gues I'm on the wrong place, so could you point to the right CWM?
Also, CWM I think recovers only the ROM and the kernel but no system applications, any app to do that and save everything to my PC?

As you suggested DRW Backup tool I will probably go ahead and unlock the bootloader, the only thing is now that I'm stuck at the backup point,
Before flashing the ROM or any kernel they say "backup", and it's used CWM or other tools, and when you go to install CWM they say backup first before installing...
Am I missing something here?
It's like a loop but no solution on how to backup what it's currently installing before putting any CWM or flashing a kernel...
How did you get out of this?
hey mate first of all backup ur TA partition....then unlock ur bootloaders.....then u can flash any custom kernel with CWM recovery......from recovery u can flash any custom rom or mod .zip file.....
UNLOCKING ur bootloaders voids ur warranty so always make a TA backup before unlocking.....u can search various thread for root, unlocking bootloaders, flashing custom kernel, custom roms within the thread.....
Hope this helps.....

Yep, thanks that's all clear, what I wanted to know is how to backup everything before installing any custome kernel/ROM or Recovery tool (CWM, Xrecovery, etc)..
Got it,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075736
Basically we need SUS, we update and get the files, than we decrypt and get a perfect image of the system + we backup with PC Companion + We backup the TA partitions with TA-backup and we are ready to go
Today I rooted my friends xperia M Dual.
I followed this Guide its link is
http://techbeasts.com/2014/06/13/in...xperia-m-dual-c2004c2005-15-5-a-1-5-firmware/
I took TA Backup of Device before unlocking as given in link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
I unlocked the bootloader from official sony website and installed the recovery from above link and rooted the device.
I also checked the recovery if it is working properly and it is working properly and it is rooted properly .
But after starting the device internal is almost full and cannot install any app.
I also tried resetting the phone through settings and through recovery software but none did help.
No apps have been installed and also i have stored nothing the internal storage afte rooting.
Device Info:
Xperia M Dual
Model No C2004
Android Version: 4.2.2
Build No: 15.2.A.1.12
Please Help me i cannot install any apps more then 3 apps on Phone.

Why are you asking silly questions ?
You know perfectly what to do.

Or you can unroot ,flash back stock recovery and You can upgrade to M easily providing your phone has not been tampered with , meaning , you are not rooted no more and have stock recovery .
If you have above and you can factory reset in settings , then , simply download M firmware from asus.
Put on external SD .
It should read something like this
UL-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip
Or .144 or .184 or .223-user.zip .
When downloaded and inserted into phone , open Asus file manager and edit the file and save > eg.
UL-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip.zip
Eg , put an extra .zip on the end of file , save , then reboot phone .
Side note , you may get ota to M , depending how you unlocked bootloader in LP
pps hit the thanks button for me unravelling your confusion in this thread
.com twaddle ppps ,
If you put ASUS fw 52.20.40.196 on ext sd same as above too , you can downgrade , upgrade go fishing and never brick .

With my last xperia cellphones (xperia Z1 and Xperia Z5) I didn´t mind about TA partition, but this time with the E6833 Dual, I´d like to have the chance of storing this partition. When I bought it it came with Marshmallow version but inmediatelly it began updating to 7.0.
I suppose I´m not the only one waiting for the new way of making a temporary root in order to save DRM.
Download flashtool and try to make a TA backup with that. If you cannot, you can always downgrade to MM again with it and then use the TA-backup at that time.

only unlocking bootloader will make your keys lost,
use flashtool Xperifirm , select xperia X F512x, SUZU and select the android verison "store front" / this one is android 6.01 when the device left factory.
flash it
use dirtycow script to xtract TA.img
now can upgrade to 7.1.1 (again use xperifirm/flashtool)
NOW you can unlock your bootloader and flash kernel to have root access

Thank you, YasuHamed, I'm sorry but I'm an ignorant about this topic, my question is: is it possible to downgrade my firmware without unlocking the bootloader, won't that brick the device?

no it wont.
if you have CORRECT STOCK FIRMWARE of the device at hand (EVEN OUTDATED) and you flash it with FLASHTOOL
it wont brick!
but make sure to use FSC script for anytype of FLASHING , you can downgrade your SUZU to android 6 from 7 and then extract drm keys!
Hi guys,
I rooted my phone using the first method (flashing patched boot on A and B).
The problem is that magisk disappeared from my phone and i was wondering how can i remove root and have the original firmware again.
I am currently on the august patch.
You can check @BubuXP's reply here it might help you out.

I flashed original boot img but OTA still doesn't apply.
The only solution might be to flash stock rom 9.4.0 (July) using MI flash tool but i'm afraid that It isn't possible to do it
Installed org boot with A/B?
Did u modify system partition? Like build.prop OR something?
If nothing works you must try using MI Flash tool with the stock ROM

I would like to keep data
Connect the Phone to the pc via USB in the flash tool must say "refresh" once you click refresh must apear your device with de adb/fastboot id. Then click select, choose the folder you've downloadwd, then click flash. Now wait until the flash tool says "flashed".
After that your Phone must have stock ROM ready for OTA. If you want to keep magisk i'll recomend you to follow BubuXp guide to install magisk with proper support for OTA's

Thank you very much, i will do it tomorrow.
One lady question, i saw that the rom is 9.4 while my device is running 9.6.
Is this a problem ?
There's no problem it will flash everything a leave the device with stock ROM, i recomend you to use the first way, you will lose the data, but I think is better, anyway i think both methods will lock the bootloader, so anyway you will lose the data, make backup and If u need something tell me.
Good luck, LB
