All of your questions apart from which update .zip to use have been answered many many times before.
Your question about the update.zip does not give enough information for anybody other than a mind reader to answer.
I humbly suggest you get used to the advanced search feature on this board it`s great and you could of answered all your questions yourself.

Video tutorial: Root the Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE

Below is a video tutorial on how to root the Galaxy S II LTE (SGH-I727R) for Rogers, its posted here because the mentioned phone doesn't have its own forum section for some odd reason.
Q: Who can follow this root method?
A: Only people using the Galaxy S II LTE for Rogers, it must be the SGH-I727R and running Android Gingerbread 2.3.5
If I have a problem during the process do I contact you?
A: No, please do not contact or ask me for help since I didn't develop this root method, I merely created this video to simplify things. The original instructions can be found here.
I take no credit for this root method, as mentioned above I made this video to simplify things. Rooting your device could possibly damage it, follow the instructions at your own risk, do not ask me for help I am not the developer. Want to thank me? Login and hit the "Thanks" button, hope this helps someone out there.

[Q] Please can someone point me in the right direction??

Hi, I am a noob at this but after looking around on the net for a day, I'm already confused...
OK, here's the situation, its fairly simple... I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE i9305 (UK EE) but want to unlock it.
It is running Android 4.1.2 and therefore "The Trick" doesn't work as it is missing the final option...
1) I have therefore read that I can downgrade it to 4.1.1 and then use the trick...
2) or I could "Root" it....
Which of these is most straight forward. I don't mind Rooting it cos I gather it's not THAT risky...
So far, I've downloaded Odin but don't know what to do with it....I also just want to use Stock ROM and don't know where I can get that... there are too many other ROMs to choose so just want to keep it simple.
Please can someone help?? I realise other people may have asked this question before, so therefore if someone could point me in the right direction and show me a simple and easy to follow guide, I would be most grateful.:good:
Many Thanks in advance!

Root Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9192

Hi everyone,
i'm a novice to android.
Can anyone help me to root my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9192 step by step please?
My android is 4.2.2
thank you a lot for any tutorial
There are a ton of guides 'n tutorials here, just use the search function to find them. Put most important details in the research field (just type "s4 mini root gt-i9192" or something like this) and you'll fine a lot of threads dedicated, which already contains several guides made step-by-step. I learned this way how to play with my phone and everything else!
