Hey guys,
I possibly may get a Note 2 and just have a quick question regarding the AOSP Roms here.
Looking through the threads, it seems like the AOSP Roms are doing very well and very stable.
Am I correct with this and is there anything I should know? I love AOSP Roms very much lol.
Also I didn't find the rooting thread, is it easy to root?
Thanks!!!!!
Is there anybody out there? lol
Rooting is easy If you use the Galaxy note 2 toolbox in the development thread. Not sure about the asop roms. not really a fan.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957155

Great, thanks!
I am mainly asking about AOSP Roms because that's the only thing I use lol.
cm11 and omnirom work great esp with xposed. No issues. However the update to kk is kind of a one way thing due to the changes in storage mount points.
tapa_talk 4 sucks

Actually that statement is far from true. I bounce between 4.2.2, 4.3, 4.4.2 aosp and 4.1.2, 4.3 touchwiz all the time.
The thing is that you have to wipe your internal sdcard. Actually I wipe mine every time I flash any rom even if they are the same version. A clean flash will always give you the best results.
One place to check

Well technically if we can build the 4.4 kernel from source then we could port it. Although I am sure it will require devs to fix the posted source before it can compile properly.
So waiting for an official release will be easier and less problematic. It will mot be very much longer before the official version is out. Two months tops.

Yeah its based on cm12 and we already have it ..we have cm12 rom and other roms based on cm12
This should be in the Q&A section. Please report your own thread and let the moderators know.
Second, this is the article which explains how to get it. It's very straight to the point and with a little knowledge easily understandable from the pictures alone:

You are misunderstanding what stock means
Stock ROM = the ROM made by the phone manufacturer, complete with all their customisations and skins. We have a stock LG lollipop here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/updatenew-firmware-d85520dkdzpoland-t2960848
What you want is an AOSP-based ROM like cyanogenmod, which will look as close as possible to Google's untouched Android releases. We have a CM Lollipop release here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-t2945191
In future post your questions in the Q&A forum where they belong

Hey man, for me the best AOSP rom I have used was the LiquidSmooth v3.2 rom which is +. 4.4.4 kitkat. Very smooth and stable. You can also try the slimkat 4.4.4 from neozone. Also very good.
But currently Im on stock touchwiz 4.4.2 with xposed installed.
Just got tired of all the small bugs in the aosp roms.

Try posting this in general or Q&A. Your question is like asking which Victoria Secret model has the best body. There are several excellent LP roms that are a WIP. That being said, try a few. We are blessed with several quality Dev's cranking out sweet roms.
LP Models: CYANIDE L, BlissPop, Dirty Unicorn.
4.4.4 Models: Ditto Note 4 DN4, EZKat, LiquidSmooth, SlimRom
Others I'm sure.
I would like to know too, I upgraded to TeamUB, then all in a sudden, no more support.
the n7105 has official cyanogenmod12.1 and official mokee os 51.1
both of which are very stable
now if you don't have a very high speed internet connection I would recommend mokee os because it uses incremental updates which mean you only download a small ota unlike cm that forces you to download the entire build every time
ps I would recommend the release versions of mokee os because it will run faster then nightlies
I use Blisspop with my galaxy s3.
I looked at the device page from blisspop, but there is not a N7105 device listed...
Same by TeamDirt.

Does mookee ROM come rooted, or need to flash SuperSU separately?
What about Gapps?
I couldn't find XDA thread for mookee 5.1.1 it looks there is only an old 5.0.2 thread that looks quite abandoned. Am I missing something, or it's my starch button failing on me?

the thread is just for discussions about the rom and any bugs in it
the fact it is abandoned is a good thing ... and means that there is no one complaining and it's running great
and you could use [May, 25 2015] AROMA-LP-GAPPS-5.1
as for the root all android 5.1 roms are rooted but you have to enable it from the developer options
I haven't used supersu with it yet though the default root settings are working without a glitch
I'm just flashed NamelessROM 5.1.1 experimental build few days back, no issue so far.

Its rooted right?

All custom ROMs are rooted. You're just needed to install supersu app.
I just wanted to say maybe just try every one that is out, make a backup of each, and you can always choose between any of them.
I agree with @BRANDENDEUCE. I think I've seen him post on every LP thread in the Tmo and N7105 forums
I know I've tried ALL that I found compatible with the T889 (t0ltetmo and t0lte, specifically N7105).
I also want to add, aside from trying all of them out, try them even if they haven't been updated or have been discontinued. For example, I've had nice success in the past with a ROM that was discontinued but I tried it anyway because it was 5.1.1 not 5.0.2.
If you read around, you'll find that some ROMs that are updated often, could see some hiccups along the way. Some people love it while othiers prefer a stable release and not many updates.
I have a T-Mobile T889 and found out that the N7105 roms also work (not N7100 though), and I found some t0lte ROMS that worked that were only in the AT&T Note 2 forums (anything not t0lteatt specific).
Good Question.
My experience has been that My Note 2 (SGH-T889) just doesn't want to run any Lollipop ROMs?
Currently on Team OctOs 5.1.1 and even last night, in airplane mode, with 31% battery, my phone died, and my alarm then failed.
Upon plugging in, battery jumps to 65% in less than a minute. And, Yes, I did a rooted battery calibration.
This is the fifth Lollipop ROM that has proven too unstable for me as a daily driver.
I may go back, again, to Conch Republic 4.4.1 and fore go the bells-and-whistles of 5. . . . .
Thanks for the MoKee, I, too, had never come across it in my research!?
