cp320703 is right probably wrong place to ask oh for the record i buy apps, just like lucky patcher
I wouldn't expect a whole lot of help with lucky patcher on xda since as far as I know it has no use other than warez, and talk about warez is obviously against the rules here due to not only the legal ramifications, be those as they may, but also the fact that the "d" in xda stands for developers, not exactly the right group of people to be asking for help with software piracy. If I am mistaken and lucky patcher has some legitimate use currently unknown to me I appologise, however should it not I would suggest that you simply pony up the buck or two and pay for the damn app, your phone will run better and a developer somewhere will get the money they deserve. Have a nice day.
Edit. Forgot to inb4lock, bush league mistake... hi jay!

Promoting warez is against rules and ethics, imagine how'd you feel if someone steals your work.

hey dont understand me wrong i just see the game and i really have trouble with installation so i just wana share with other member no thing else
i didnt steal any one's work...ok
Well you just did. In this case, from Gameloft. Duh! People do warez there's no helping it at times, due to many reasons maybe but you could've just shared the images and your personal thoughts instead of promoting other people to download from the site. There are guidelines to the xda forums and as a member you should follow it. And oh just in case you did side load it due to your reasons, I see that you enjoyed the game thoroughly and hopefully you'd pay for the game too when you can (but I may be being too hopeful lol). May look like a rant, which it somewhat is, heed it as an advice

OP you do realize this is a developer's forum right? Would you knock on Madonna's door and tell her where she can get a bootlleg copy of her album? no, only a moron would do that.. So what makes you think it's ok to come to a developer's forum and tell people where to get a paid app for free?? That is a huge slap in the face to the devs here
Thread closed
Sorry for opening a new thread but I think this is important!
I made this thread fot several reasons:
1. I respect devs and I want everybody to respect them!
2. People have wrong ideeas of what devs are!
3. Peaple should understand to truly RESPECT the dev!
developer=dev
I saw many people not respecting devs as they should... Don't forget that our kind and generous are developing for FREE!
Stop asking for ETA's!!! You are annoying the devs!
What is NOT a dev?
A dev isn't a rom making machine!
A dev is not a geek or a forever alone! Devs have friends, family, school, jobs!
Remember that devs are developing on xda as a hobby!
I saw things like "Give me WI-FI drivers fast!"- WTF is this? An order?
Correct me if I am wrong and delete my thread if you don't like the ideea.

The problem is some people here look at "devs" as gods when they are just normal people like you and me except they have programming skills.

There is nothing wrong with complementing someone and their work. Some people just think that being a "dev" is being jesus of computing.

Yes its true developers had also time for their friends, family and oneself.

Me as a developer of apps (but not in android yet)

Well...m nt a dev bt was going through that section..

Today 25/04/14! Developer: (Achotjan)
Of Recognized Roms (SDE) and the current firmware (Xperia Overlay) To The Xperia Line 2011 (Included Xperia Play Cooming Soon Mod Edit link removed ah this statement on their website:
so they had read in the image ..
the nesecita our help by sending PM to manager (eagleeyetom) to withdraw its decision and that it was unfair ..
I hope all Xplayers community support it ..!
I don't understand why XDA moderators closed their thread but I think that it must have been for a good reason...
Anyway why is this topic on the development forum ? I think general discussion is the right forum for this.

What happens is that on your page .. the developer says that those who donate, will be able to have the firmware before, but also later, release them FREE to the entire community. I mean that's just to support and encourage hard work.
oh and it's true ... You're right I did hurry and did not realize .. Moderators please move this thread to the General section please ..

The application for RD covers more than "Did you release anything?" It also asks how you will help the community in general. Only XDA can sell the work developers contribute here. It's a lot like a university saying they own the rights to your projects. I don't think either side is right, but you know what you're signing up for.

But surely there've been Portal Posts promoting paid apps made by members of this place, that XDA does not profit from? Besides, XDA can't possibly sell an Android ROM, right? I'd like to get the full story on this; I don't like the sound of it at all. What the heck happened that could possibly justify their abuse if it isn't your reason?
well he is going to release a free version after one month
developer of dixperia roms did something like this too but why no one told anything to him?
XDA doesn't seem to be on the right side of things on this.. atleast they don't sound like they have a logical reason to be right.
Overlay team was doing right,.. that's my opinion.

They do have an area for announcing paid software, but that's the only place it's permitted.
XDA doesn't sell ROMs directly, just advertising and stuff like that.
There could be 1000 reasons, but they're really between the dev and XDA. Only one side of the story is given by a blog post and most people aren't going to admit they were wrong and then ask for donations.

Well known Recognised Developer team that works on 4.4 for Xperia 2011 devices(including xplay), has built their own 4.4.2 firmware. They offer an early access version to people who donate $5 on their website. After 1 month, it all becomes free to the public. Apparently XDA didn't like that, and revoked their recognised developer status and deleted the thread. The development team is asking us to PM the forum administrators and show our disagreement on the matter.
Also, achtojan hasn't posted anything in the past 3 days on xda since this happened, can't blame him.

XDA FORUM RULES - #11
So basically they should have just made the mandatory donate version on their personal website, then when it goes free they could have posted it on xda and still accept donations. The rules aren't very well laid out concerning this. It certainly doesn't justify revoking their RD status.

They didn't technically break rule number 8. The development team isn't saying "donate now and in a month you will receive it". They're saying donate now and receive it immediately, or wait and get it for free. Or is that still not allowed? I've seen many paid services on XDA, I guess the teams main mistake was posting it on XDA instead of just their website.

The problem is, that all of they're firmware can only be obtained for a fee. That is against the rules. If they posted a link to a donate and free version then it would be fine, but everything they linked to is for money. Not OK.
That makes sense. If that's really the case, I'm on XDA's side.
