As title says touchscreeen and cwm recovery not working
I can boot up XP but screen doesn't work but all buttons work, but when I hard reset and press back button it doesn't enter recovery
what i have tried and tested
Tried 2 working digitizer and three working ear piece ribbons
and recently changed the sliding ribbon due to the common wear and tear problem
flashed .58 firmware (with custom kernel and stock kernel) FAILED!
tried doom kernel and lupus kernel, no difference still wont boot into recovery
stock rom and custom roms, still wont work
First digitizer failure started off as temperamental were if just pulled out battery and restarted it might go way and then became laggy
then last time it work perfectly for 12 hours and then suddenly it completely stopped and never worked again:crying:
Has anyone had similar problem or know what could be causing it as i have tried everything I can think of.
I know its not rom, kernel or firmware causing problem as i have stuck to using gingerbread OS
and all hardware mentioned above worked flawlessly before problem but I still checked with other spares I had
Hi buddies,
I don't really know how but my phone got bricked. The full storry is i installed cm 10.2 last night (right way) and it worked all perfectly.(battery status was about to 10% when i started the cm10.2 first time if this may help somehow) then phone stand to charge for all night.
Well now , i woke up (battery 100%)i just wanted to enable navbar by editing buid.prop so after i reboot it didn't start at all.i thought its freezed so i pulled out battery for 5 sec then tried to start it again.when long push power button i figured it vibrates shortly and green led blinks once but it won't start at all.its like its shutting down right after vibrates bcuz i can try start it again after it vibrates.
Fastboot and flashmode works fine. i tried to flash official rom , tried repair in pc compation, tried relock bootloader but things doesn't changed.
thanks,
Well solved it by flashing 2.3.4 official gingerbread.thanks anyway
Close it.
I am trying to repair my friend's Xperia Arc.. Its boots up in blackscreen without logo just blackscreen. Its not a blackscreen bootloop coz I can interact with the screen (vibration, low battery sound etc).
The bootloader is unlocked.
I flashed the FreeXperia2011Range tft from Flashtool and then flashed stock rom ICS 4.1.b.587 and then it booted fine and then rebooted and the same blackscreen problem happened again . battery was at 25 % when it rebooted.
Please help me...

flash LX rom. flash kernel & directly boot into CWM. then install rom. if the screen works , but sometimes go off i guess its some HW issue that maybe some part broke.
normallly if you flash the stock ICS ftf fullly the phone should work like new. if not uits 100% HW issue
I have discovered strange issue with my Xperia M (C1905).
I'm basically using stock ROM, but I wanted to flash other custom ROM. Flashing process always goes fine, without errors, but after rebooting with new ROM the touch screen is not responding at all (side buttons works fine).
I have tried to flash different ROMs (CM12, CM11, CM12.1, AOSP, ArchiDroid) and the results were exactly the same - phone boots up, but touch screen is not responding. I have flashed them using CWM and CyanogenMod Recovery. I haven't used TWRP, because the touch screen doesn't respond here either.
Phone is rooted, and bootloader is unlocked, I have flashed before different stock ROMs (15.4.A.1.9, 15.4.A.0.23), wiped data, cache and factory reset the phone, mainly followed all possible flashing tutorials.
When I was thinking what can be the reason of the behavior I think it could be due to this I have replaced broken digitizer couple of months ago. Seller claimed it was original Sony digitizer, but I cannot be sure of this.
I would really appreciate any help or suggestions, maybe I am doing something wrong?
Hi,
i was recently playing with my Xperia, trying to run 4.4 android.
I flashed legacyXperia CM11, with corresponding kernel (included in zip with rom).
It was working fine, i tried to run newer versions, HyperGamer kernel, but with no luck.
I settled with CM11, installed gapps. Play store was crushing, so i rebooted the phone.
After that, Xperia was dead. It vibrates after pressing power, but screen is black (at first, i light up a little, slightly brighter than typical black).
I tried flashing with flashtool stock GB and ICS and reFlash. I flashed different kernels with fastboot. Everything is going ok, but i still get only black screen.
Any suggestion? I really, really like my Xperia Play and i don't want to lose it :/

Try to flash stock GB FTF with flashtool....
Try with different (unpartitioned) sdcard...
Try flashing lupus kernel and see will it enter recovery when you boot (keep pressing vol- or vol+ while booting)...

if you tried flashing with other roms it may be related to your flex cable. when i bought my first xplay it was in a state as you described, black screen only. the guy i bought from told me he flashed a rom and device was bricked in the process. but he also told me before he flashed, the touchscreen was not quite responsive and he had issues with cameras.
so first i tried to flash the phone with stock rom but there was only blackscreen. i thought the problem was software related only after changing flex cable phone started booting and running normally.
it may be a bad coincidence in your case but if you haven't changed your flex cable in a while it may be the cause.
