Xperia Arc LT15i blackscreen-- - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to repair my friend's Xperia Arc.. Its boots up in blackscreen without logo just blackscreen. Its not a blackscreen bootloop coz I can interact with the screen (vibration, low battery sound etc).
The bootloader is unlocked.
I flashed the FreeXperia2011Range tft from Flashtool and then flashed stock rom ICS 4.1.b.587 and then it booted fine and then rebooted and the same blackscreen problem happened again . battery was at 25 % when it rebooted.
Please help me...

flash LX rom. flash kernel & directly boot into CWM. then install rom. if the screen works , but sometimes go off i guess its some HW issue that maybe some part broke.
normallly if you flash the stock ICS ftf fullly the phone should work like new. if not uits 100% HW issue

[Q] Sony Xperia Ion LT28h Rebooting issue.

Hello there,
I have been using my xperia ion since around 6 months with stock rom and never tried to tinker with anything, lately suddenly my phone stopped working i.e it started a reboot loop. the phone turns on to the sony logo then gets to the 'rethink possible' screen and then a blue/black glaze appears and the phone restarts which happen again and again, as this phone is off warranty, i tried to flash it some other (4.1.2) stock rom but still no luck, when i connect my phone to the pc using the usb cable while holding the volume down button, the green led does shows up but the flash software says (error flashing - aborted). I have attached a picture of the same.
Please see into it and help me get through it.
I will be much thankful fellas.

[Q] Xperia S stuck on Sony logo on boot

Hi!
I'm moving my first steps into Android modding: I've succesfully installed Cyanogenmod on my Xperia U and then started to play with my Xperia S. That's what I did on the S:
- unlocked bootloader (with Sony official procedure)
- copied ROMs into phone
- flashed TWRP 2.8.0.1 using flashtool (fastboot mode)
- started phone in recovery, wiped, installed ROM/Gapps, reboot.
All seems to work fine: the phone boots correctly, system configuration and all, except that when I reboot it, on the next start it stucks on boot on Sony logo.
The phone is recognized by flashtool and I can still enter recovery, so I can't say it's bricked, but it doesn't start the OS!
I've tried different ROMs, Android 4.4.4. and 5.0.2, but the result is the same: all working fine until the phone is rebooted, then stuck. Sometimes it happens just after installing the ROM, other times later, after installing other apps (it always happens if I try to recovery app backups with Titanium backup, for example).
Can it be a TWRP problem?
Any ideas or help will be high apreciated! :fingers-crossed:

After flashing ROM, the phone will seem to be stuck at Boot Animation for 10-15 minutes. It is not stuck and normal. Let it boot, it will come to home screen eventually. During second boot, it will seem to be stuck at Sony logo, but this is too normal. It will take approx 10 minutes here too.

Wow. Thank you Mirhawk! I knew about long boot animation at first boot, but never heard about the second (or later) one "stuck" at Sony logo! Waited 10 minutes and then the phone wake up! :good:
Thank you again.

Sony Xperia M C1904 won't turn on Red light blinks.

I flashed Cm13 in my XPERIA M c1904 CM13 was quite stable but it was not reading my SIM Card, I found on internet that maybe flashing with TWRP version 2.6.0 will fix the problem so I flashed the recovery in my phone and after I unplugged from the usb phone didn't start earlier I was getting vibration then it didn't start, I was able to go in flash mode I flashed some other recoveries even they didn't made any difference. I kept my phone for charging for a night in the morning now there is no vibration just red light blinks 3 times and nothing else...cant even get in flash mode or fastboot mode...to flash stock rom from flashtool. When I connect the phone with the usb no blue light comes or red and green light flashes just the red light ..... its annoying earlier also I tried flashing cyanogen mods and they caused me errors earlier cm12.1 didn't got any cellular signals and my imei gone blank... Please Reply fast!!! I really loved this cm13 if only the sim card problem was not there.....
I have the same problem here. I flashed the CM13's recovery img, booted into recovery but it wouldn't read the SD card, so I couldn't install the ROM. So I flashed another ROM's boot.img with TWRP and tryied to install ArchiDroid that I had installed in the past. After the installation it won't turn on, just the 3 red light blinks.
Can't connect to fastboot mode or flash mode.
I solved the problem now. In my case it was a dead battery.
I borrowed a charged battery from another xpm and the flash mode connection worked.
Then I flashed a stock firmware to restore my xpm back to normal.
After that I managed to charge the battery normally.
It seems that if you don't have an firmware installed, the battery won't charge.
blinking red thrice
Me too had same prob in unrooted xperia m.Went to sony service and they replaced charging port and did a software update...now ok...

Help with dead Xperia Play

Hi,
i was recently playing with my Xperia, trying to run 4.4 android.
I flashed legacyXperia CM11, with corresponding kernel (included in zip with rom).
It was working fine, i tried to run newer versions, HyperGamer kernel, but with no luck.
I settled with CM11, installed gapps. Play store was crushing, so i rebooted the phone.
After that, Xperia was dead. It vibrates after pressing power, but screen is black (at first, i light up a little, slightly brighter than typical black).
I tried flashing with flashtool stock GB and ICS and reFlash. I flashed different kernels with fastboot. Everything is going ok, but i still get only black screen.
Any suggestion? I really, really like my Xperia Play and i don't want to lose it :/

Try to flash stock GB FTF with flashtool....
Try with different (unpartitioned) sdcard...
Try flashing lupus kernel and see will it enter recovery when you boot (keep pressing vol- or vol+ while booting)...

if you tried flashing with other roms it may be related to your flex cable. when i bought my first xplay it was in a state as you described, black screen only. the guy i bought from told me he flashed a rom and device was bricked in the process. but he also told me before he flashed, the touchscreen was not quite responsive and he had issues with cameras.
so first i tried to flash the phone with stock rom but there was only blackscreen. i thought the problem was software related only after changing flex cable phone started booting and running normally.
it may be a bad coincidence in your case but if you haven't changed your flex cable in a while it may be the cause.
