Only use 1.8 or later on LP, also check your notification bar. As of now Tame requires SuperSu, hopefully upstream privacy guard gets its issues fixed

Got SuperSU now thanks. Running ver. 1.8

I assume you're using SuperSU (which you should be). You may have another kernel app/script trying to override those settings?
Especially if all tame settings stick EXCEPT cpu which is most likely the case.

You'll probably have to disable that first.

The settings dont stay as they are. Multi core power saving does not remain even after rebooting. Ive uninstalled every cpu gov app and everything yet it doesnt stay. Only core management has worked and the rest like fast charge, cpu freq always revert to default.

Do you have any init.d scripts running? Because it would only make sense if none of the things restored after boot. But if one of them are restored, then they are all getting restored...but something is overriding it. We can confirm this by grabbing the file /sdcard/Tame/Tame-SOB.sh and attaching it here

Does 2nd-init have anything to do with it? Because i remember freegee placed a 2nd init file that soft bricked my phone but even though i fixed it. It could still be there, who knows.
Edit: Im using mobile xda atm and there's no option to attach anything other than image url and pictures from my gallery. No pc :/ gonna have to go over to my friend's

Resurrection rom v5.4.4.
Tried using it on browser. Same thing. I'll use the comp. I dont know if its adequate because I tried re installing Tame just to see if it helps. Well USB fast charge enables but when I select the default option it doesnt turn on. Only 1500mA. As for Multi core power saving, it says reboot recommended but when i do so it reverts. When I dont, it stays. Guess rebooting is the problem? I do have restore on boot option checked.

When i look in settings, under tweaks.. and OC- i see it set no higher or allowing higher than 1000.
My Question remains- WHY is my GPRS automatically turning on, especially with Airplane mode on. I thought it was connected to my WIFI, but it turns on even if i have wifi off.
Do you actually mean gprs the gsm technology or do you really mean gps?
I doubt gprs is turning on since this is a cdma phone that doesn't support it.

Well eliminate one factor by flashing the latest nightly with stock kernel which allows you to OC within by going to settings/cyanogenmod settings/performance/ there will be a setting to allow for 1200 OC.
OR
Now that you have over 10 post ask in your kernels thread.
The software says gprs. I still basically mean data, not wifi. It appears to use a lot of power.
It is always on.

I just flashed with the new nightly, I still have data issues, and I don'tsee the option to OC. I'll do a fresh format and image to remove doubt.

I've been having issues backing everything up so i can do a fresh flash. But- does anyone have anything on this?
Ok- I just formatted my phone and
Flashed it. Upon flash of nightly - without recovering any apps or anythjng' my phone did not show the oc of anything. After installing go apps, my phone showed mobile data on and in use.
After that I installed my samuri kernel and fully recovered my pps. I thought that maybe go switch widget was initiating the mobile data... but it isn't. Any ideas?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
Once again, formatted fresh. Rc2, no oc, mobile data persistent on, home button doesn't work until reboot and install of some apps.

So, after messing with my issue a bit further. I have come to notice that the Mobile Data turns it's self on in either timely increments (once every 5-10 mins) Or It is scheduled to turn on every time the device is unlocked. My "Go Power" thing has reported that the Mobile data a lone is using up about 1/4 the power.
Also, i STILL have no seen ANY Over Clock option in ANY stock variable of this installation.
I HAVE noticed that every time i clean flash my phone, the home button does not work until at least a reboot of the device.
What is the latest version of gapps. available? I went to the IRC- and everyone pointed over to the ICS package, which i did try and it really killed my phone. I Have to stick with the Gingerbread.
Bump

So. anyone? -
Don't some power saving apps cycle data off and on on a schedule, rather than "always on"? If the problem started after you installed go power, or other battery saving apps/tweaks, I'd try uninstalling them.

[Q] processor keeps going above max cpu setting?

Hello, i am new to the android world, and am loving it. Ive tried a couple of roms, and decided to stick with Liquid Smooth Jelly Bean Rom. My only problem is this:
i have set the max frequency for the processor to be 1512 mhz(or lower sometimes), but sometimes it keeps automatically setting itself to 1900mhz, which i do not want. Is there a way to set it so that it will never go above 1512?
btw i am on 3.0.45 leanKernel if that helps.
Thanks
Check mark the set on boot box and restart phone right away after you change it back to 1500mhz.

are there any solutions to this?
Depends what kernel you're running, some kernel apps let you lock the frequencies so they cannot be changed by apps. If an app needs to run faster it will bump up the speed, so might want to check into that. Works on KT747 Kernel (Ktweaker).

Here's the link for the KT747 Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776 . It works with all AOSP (CM10, AOKP etc.) aswell as most touchwiz roms. I've never used Liquidsmooth so Idk what it's about but this thread should contain information about which roms it is compatible with. If you have any questions I suggest starting a new thread about what its compatible with or asking directly in the thread. Good luck Always flash Rom before kernel.

[Mod] Increase Max Brightness

WARNING:
Using this mod may decrease battery life, decrease screen life and/or quality, cause overheating, cause your phone to blow up or cause other damage to your phone. Use at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage this mod causes to your phone.
This Mod will increase the max brightness of your phone by about 10%.
Note:
Auto Brightness must be turned off for this to work.
Root is required for this Mod.
Instructions:
Download and run app attached to this post.
Or. ..
echo 1 > /sys/class/backlight/panel/auto_brightness
If you reboot or enable auto brightness you have to run it again.
The best way to tell if it worked would be to run it when your screen is already at full brightness. You'll see it go a bit brighter.
Tested on T-Mobile Note II, but this may work in many Samsung Galaxy phones.
Nice works good

You'll have to check with the op because I could be wrong, but I'm assuming you should be able to use an app like script manager which lets you set a script to automatically run on every boot. You might need just the script itself though because this is an apk, so I'm not sure if it would be recognized as a script or not. Anyway then would at least survive after reboots anyway.

To apply this mod, you can either run the command in the OP or run the APK.
To apply this mod on boot, you can use any tool that runs scripts or APKs on boot. (I personally use Tasker to run the apk on boot.)
The reason I didn't make the APK run on boot was because ... uhm ... I don't know ...
is this aosp only?
Be careful that you do not burn images on your screen.

Help! Can't get CPU settings to stick.

So I'm running the latest release of Arshull's kernel on my Gtab 3 8.0(which is great), and per his suggestion, I am using TricksterMod kernel settings donate version to oc, but I can't get my cpu clock to stick at any setting, even after reboot. I do have the kernel settings checked to apply after boot, and it even says TM applied them after boot in my notification panel. I am running stock rom with twrp recovery. I also have Rom Toolbox Pro and Titanium Backup donate, and im not sure if they are interfering. Is there any other app that will work with the gtab 3 8.0's chipset?
Btw, the gpu settings will stick sometimes but usually they do not. Willthe stock power saving feature interfere, because I usually have it enabled. I apologize in advance if I'm leaving out any needed info.
TIA!

On the 7.0, the stock power saving feature sets the max cpu frequency to 600 mhz. So, probably, yes. I'm not sure how the 8.0 is set up, but on the 7.0 this is how to get CPU settings to stick:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511683
I fixed this issue by installing TricksterMod in my internal storage as opposed to my external sd card, which is where I had it. Since then it has worked great, settings are sticking and its all good! Niiice!

im happy with it.
I installed Xposed and enabled XBlaster. The battery icon mod on XBlaster kills the battery icon change built into the rom which is kind of what I expected. However, the battery icons built into XBlaster stink. Most are lame and are the wrong size for the device. So I disabled the battery icon in XBlaster and installed XBatteryThemer but can't get any of the icons to show up. Just blanks out. So looks like I will have to either manually modify the icons in XBlaster or create a flashable that will work with the framework/systemui.
Has anyone else been successful using XBatteryThemer?

No, just select "stock battery" in xblast and then reboot. You will now be able to triple tap on the battery icon and use CivZ battery picker without losing xblast or having to mod anything.
