Successfully unlocked my bootloader this afternoon on my Verizon r800x. :good:
After rebooting, I stupidly accepted the OTA update, apparently didn't pay attention to the warnings from the Sony website. :silly:
Now I've got a nice brick.
My phone won't boot.
I can't get back into fastboot by holding the search button.
I CAN get into flashtool, but reflashing the stock FTF doesn't seem to help the situation
Any suggestions?
try unlocking again/downloading fastboot drivers? Sorry if this doesn't help, I don't know too much.
I appreciate the suggestion, but like I said, can't get in to fastboot mode on the phone itself. Don't get the blue LED. Wouldn't think that would have anything to do with drivers; Windows doesn't even acknowledge a device being plugged in while I hold the search button, but as soon as I let go, I get the GREEN LED and I can use flashtool.

It doesnt matter if the xperia play drivers are installed on your pc. If the blue light doesnt turn on when your powering your R800x your fastboot is disabled. That means your bootloader is still locked.

I appreciate the suggestions, really, I do, but I think you're kinda missing my point here. Whether the bootloader remains locked or not is not the issue at the moment.
The official sony instructions I followed when I unlocked it had me put the device into fastboot mode. It worked great. But now, specifically, step 12 no longer works.
ALSO, my phone won't boot, which is the actual problem I'm having at the moment.
So, my phone won't boot, AND my phone can't connect to fastboot in order to flash a new kernel or whatever else I might need to do to unbrick my phone. The ONLY thing that works right now is flashtool. Flashing the stock Verizon FTF with flashtool did not remedy the situation.
Does anyone know how I can get my phone back up and running?

It is not possible to relock your bootloader in most cases, but this may be worth trying. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134334 There is a link to an ftf file you can possibly flash to relock the bootloader then reflash back to stock.
If that fails, chances are you have a damaged bootloader and/or TA (trim area) due to the failed update. This link may help you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252019
Here is another link as well by wedgess, I think he uses the same method as in the link above. They will both most likely log into your computer using team viewer to resolve your suspected TA/bootloader issue. Read the entire thread, but wedgess's post is #27 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957328&page=3 . Good Luck...

Did you back up your trim area? Because you have damaged it and will need a repair contact allejandrissimo about a bootloader and trim area repair... you can contact him at http://unlock-bootloader.com/
Sent from my Sony Ericsson Xperia Play™ running P.A.C.man ROM using tapatalk 2™
Have you tried flashing a different ftf? I have the R800at, and I couldn't unlock my bootloader until I flashed a generic R800a ftf. I reflashed to the AT&T R800at after the bootloader was unlocked - no problems. Think you could flash an R800i ftf just to get back to a bootable state and then flash the Verizon R800x ftf?

Yeah, I posted it more for reference than a solution...hoping it may let him know why flashtool can't fix the problem. The problem is most certainly the TA which is why I posted the other links.
Fixed.
I flashed "Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperial_ALL.ftf" upon the suggestion of alejandrissimo. Rebooted, and in fastboot as I type this.
Thanks to everyone for their input, but the real thanks go to alejandrissimo for the solution.

It seems driver problem
Try these:
Connect to flashtool (beta2 or beta4) with device power-on debug off, to see if flashtool can recognize it, and how much it can recognize.
Connect to flashtool with device power-on debug on , to see if flashtool can recognize it.
Connect to flashtool with device in fastboot mode, to see if flashtool can recognize it.
Connect to flashtool with device in flashmode, to see if flashtool can recognize it.
Flashtool may fix some driver error. I just succeeded after hours of bungling like that.
Good luck.
I have all drivers installed.Still can't do it.
Before I had unlocked my bootloader, but I have to Sony service centre for a repair. After that I could not unlock it. My firmware branding is global

Hello.
I've searched forums and found some threads like this but my problem is a bit like them and a little bit different at the same time.
Sorry for my ENGRISH
I have Sony Ericsson Arc S, (LT18i). My brother bought it from UK and bringed to me, to Türkiye (Turkey). As you guessed, Turkish simcards didn't work and my brother gave money to a mobile phone seller to unlock it's simlock. After this, we able to use phone with Turkish simcards in Turkey.
The other day, after a couple years, I wanted to install a custom ROM on my Arc S.
This is how everything started.
I searched XDA forums and took notes. How can I do it, which programs needed etc.
Preparing
First, I did a factory reset.
After the phone opened, I changed usb connection to MSC, allowed Unknown sources and opened USB debugging.
I installed Flashtool 0.9.10.0. I readed a couple posts about that, previous versions gives no errors.
Under /drivers folder I found a driver package. Installed it with just Flashmode, Fastboot and Sony Ericsson Arc drivers selected.
Pluged in my phone and checked if it's drivers installed or not. Success. I can see my phone in device manager.
Installing
I readed a few guides and they say I have to Unlock bootloader. So I clicked Bootloader Unlock option in Flashtool. Followed the instructions, gone into flashmode, restart, gone into fastmode with pressing menu button and plugging the usb cable etc. There was a window with my IMEI and I followed the instructions and I get a code (long, including letters and numbers) from official sony website. I entered this code to that window and it said my bootloader is unlocked.
After that, I rooted the device. No errors.
Installed CWM via Flashtool. No errors as far as I remember.
AND THIS: Flashing a ROM. I found an Android 5.0.1 ROM and it said that I had to flash boot.img. So I did. I mean, I tried. I GOT ERROR. And, BUM. Something happened and I couldn't open the phone.
After a search, I found a solution says using Sony Companion may restore the phone. I tried this. Follow the instructions and my phone opened with ICS 4.0.4 instead of old version, 2.3. And now, it says, INSERT THE SIM CARD.
I searched the forums about 2 days and didn't find a solution to this. It ignores my sim card. Then, I saw a secret code about simlock and bootloader status and entered that code *#*#7378423#*#*
Under Simlock option,
They say there must be X's. At least the first one must have X on simlock screen but it hasn't. And there are all 0's. No X's, and zeros. So this is bad i think.
Under Configuration
In configuration section, it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. As far as I learned from XDA forums, that means bootloader is locked again. Because it must be unlocked or unlock allowed: yes.
So i tried to unlock bootloader again. I had no idea what I've done. First, it said go flashmode. Done. And it said go into Fastboot. I couldn't. No Blue LED.
You see the thing? => Flashtools says go Fastboot to run Bootloader unlocker. I can't. Forums says I have to bootlocker unlock to enter fastboot. Bootloader unlock to enter fastboot. But enter fastboot to boot unlock. Wow.
Lastly, I tried flashing custom TFT's to see if it can flash or not. IT FLASHED. I can flash STOCK TFT's, even a KERNEL i downloaded from here. I can Root, install Busybox ( I don't know what is it haha), Install CWM 5.0.
But since it can't see my Sim Card, i didn't try to install custom ROM.
What I have to do? How can I unlock to simcard lock if it's locked? is my bootloader locked?
My brain hurts.
I wrote all things because it's easy to solve a problem with more information. So a few things more:
I use Windows 10.
I didn't use original cable at first. But you know, no errors now. It's not important at this point I think.
I unistalled mobile device from devices manager and delete the driver. I installed inf file from sony website and selected it for ADB driver. It says now Sony sa01102 ADB Interface Driver. If Fastboot needs correct drivers, I installed from it's official site, offical one.
I didn't tried another computer because again; no errors from Flashtool.
THANK YOU ALL.
I maybe copy this to other websites.
About Loader.sin Error
I did get Loader.sin Error a few times. But when I use previous Flashtool version, there was no loader.sin error.
"In configuration section, it says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. As far as I learned from XDA forums, that means bootloader is locked again. Because it must be unlocked or unlock allowed: yes." It means you cannot unlock bootloader! Its not possible , your phone is locked , i mean you cant run fastboot mode , its locked , install stock firmware and thats all , you cant install any custom firmwares as Cyanogenmod or custom kernel anymore. If you can't understand it sorry because english is not my main language.
HELP NEEDED!
Hi guys,
So I tried to unlock bootloader on my Xperia M (C1904). And after unlocking, it doesn't boot anymore. Just shows "Sony", and "Xperia", then the wave animation forever.
First of all, I access to Sony Developer World for unlock bootloader key, then used flashtool's BLU feature. It successfully completed and said "Device will reboot into system now" However it showed the wave animation forever, (waited for around 20 or more minutes) but there was no change, so I flashed stock .ftf file via Flashmode. HOWEVER, everything was the same as before.
Then I used BLU feature again to try Re-locking the bootloader, but it said that "Processing of loader.sin finished with errors." and "Your phone bootloader cannot be officially unlocked". I am sure that my XM is bootloader unlocking supported, and flashtool successfully finished unlocking.
I searched around the Internet and found many people is having same problem with me.
I DID try using Sony PC Companion to repair the software, but as you can imagine. It simply showed ERROR.
I need your help as fast as possible.
Thank you, and sorry for my bad English btw.
PS I did read XDA threads about this problem, but nothing helped much.

Buddy download stock firmware that works with your device(c1904) and I have heard that newley flashtool have some bugs most of the peoples found it difficult to use due to error so download a old version of flashtool.
Here is the link for flashtool that I use

It works smooth and don't forget to install drivers for xperia M found in C:/Flashtool/drivers after unpacking flashtool
Thank you guys for helping me.
I tried re-locking and flashed the stock firmware, and now my XM is working normally again.
Now, the question is, "Is there a way to safely unlock bootloader without soft bricking?"

Buddy for first time soft bricking happens with all it happened with me too because for first time the DRM keys (a kind of key used to get sony official support and update OTA) get wiped forever since DRM keys are integral part of BOOT so it will led to softbrick only for first time after that you can easily unlock or relock your Device

Well, you should be able to check if your device is unlocked when you connect to flashtool, can't you?
I unlocked my bootloader, then I replace my boot image and recovery image.
Here's the problem:
I didn't back up.
the device can't detect my SIM card, I try another boot.img, the SIM card is detected, but no sound output.
Emma isn't working, flashtool by Androxyde didn't have a "G3426" selection.
I can't find any TFT file for my device, and can't find a boot.img for my device.
If my problem can be fixed by flashing a new boot.img, how can I get it?
If can't, what is the solution?

You've a problem so.
You've lost DRM keys*, so you won't be able anymore to:
- use display enhancements (Bravia engine, etc.; You will see them as enabled, but they won't work)
- some audio enchantments (audio will be worse; same)
- camera enchantments (low light photos, zoom, etc.; Same)
- login to Xperia services and so on
- backup your phone with Sony's app to Google
- and many others....
*DRM keys are keys (series of numbers) that are used by Sony to activate some Xperia features. They cannot be fixed on your phone (only if you have Z3, Z4, Z5) and cannot be generated. Only assistance can do something.
And you cannot do anything for all of this, neither if you will use repair software.
What I would do if I were you:
- relock bootloader with flashtool
- repair software with Xperia companion (you will be able to use your Sim)
- send your phone to assistance telling them you've lost DRM keys
- wait
- pay (80% probable, cause it's outside of the warranty)
- done
... Or buy another phone.
Hope could be helpful

Hehe there's a trick to flash with flashtool without verification!
- uninstall your flashtool
- download from flashtool website THE PREVIOUS VERSION that doesn't verify anything on boot and install
- enjoy
If you relock bootloader you would be able to repair software
The folder is C://users/your name/.flashtool
I don't have a PC now, but if I remember well there's a folder like firmwares or something similar. If you don't find it, download a random firmware with flashtool (obviously don't install it) and watch where there's the ftf inside the aforementioned folder
PS hit like if it was helpful, more people will find it

If you relock bootloader you would be able to repair software
The folder is C://users/your name/.flashtool
I don't have a PC now, but if I remember well there's a folder like firmwares or something similar. If you don't find it, download a random firmware with flashtool (obviously don't install it) and watch where there's the ftf inside the aforementioned folder
PS hit like if it was helpful, more people will find it

I replaced the firmware, nothing changed...
All I need not is the kernel. It's not the problem with the firmware.
But I can't get the boot.img for my device.

As told before, just relock bootloader with flashtool, you should be able to do that with the previous version of flashtool, as told before.
After that, go to Xperia companion and repair software. It will solve all, cause it flashes everything (boot, recovery, etc.)

Ahem... I didn't understand what you said...
If I understood correctly, you shouldn't have problems, because "repair software" downloads the firmware, the boot, the recovery and so on from Sony servers

The SIM card isn't working.
It's about the boot.img (I guess so)
I can't repair mobile(unlocked)
I can't relock it(no stock boot.img)
If I relock it anyway (I tried it), it can't boot and shows"This device can't be verified, power off after 5 second"
I copied all the firmware correctly (with twrp file manager)
Nothing changes.

When you said "If I relock it anyway" did u do it? If yes, power the phone down and connect it to pc JUST PRESSING VOLUME DOWN (no power button) with "repair software" opened up. If the software will find your phone, just repair, else press "device not found", it will do a deep scan into your USB ports.

I'm glad to hear that!
At the restart, you'll see that your SIM will be detected, but you cannot login to Xperia services

Aww... But still, no root.
I can't dump my boot.img without root... Fewer developers support G3426...
I can't even boot into TWRP with my stock boot image...
Flashtool root will always show "Waiting for device. After 60secs, stop waiting will be forced"
