Just ordered a sim free from Amazon

Just ordered a one X from amazon and was just wandering what everyone else views on yours? Is it worth ordering any protection for the case or screen?

Nothing for screen but probably a case.

I have ordered a screen protector and gel case. Despite what people might think, gorilla glass is strong and extremely resistant to breaking...but they still have a digitizer on the outside layer that will scratch. So do yourself a favor and buy a screen protector at the very least!

Just opened the box on mine that was delivered today.
Having bought it on the basis never even seeing it and just the hotuk deals deal and a few reviews to go on it looks like the right phone for me!.
It must be good, its just sent my Legendary HD2 to the scrap bin (well Mrs is gonna get it as soon as I remove WinPhone7 and put a decent GB rom on it!)
Sorry cant give any other info about the phone other than its cool looking and boots quickly!.

Make sure there is nothing protecting the camera. If there is some glass or plastic to protect it it will destroy you photography.
Didn't look into what case you posted but keep that in mind

Hi Jonas.
Yep HD2 = best phone I've ever owned thats for sure. 3 years old nearly now I think and its still as strong as ever.
I have a feeling this one x could be one of those phones that last as long. At least cpu wise it should be good for some time.

Hard clear case

So I remember when i had my first ipod touch years ago i had this clear see through hard case and i loved it. It didnt really add that much bulk and it felt nicely in the hand. Im getting the white gs3 and i really dont want to take anything away from the look and feel and I want at least some protection. I was wondering if there was any kind of clear hard case out for this phone right now?

I cant wait to rock it with my galaxy nexus when it gets shipped!

The reason i went with the iluv translucent case over a regular clear hard case was because after the back of that clear case gets scratched up from setting it down on things, it is going to start looking like crap. all the case nice and clear with beat up scratch marks on the contact points. The translucent will no doubt get scratched also, but IMO will be less obvious.

I received this case today. Just thought I would let you guys know that it has a soft feel to it that provides good grip. I thought it would be just hard slick plastic, so I'm pleased with that aspect. Now I just need AT&T to ship my phone! lol

Good review. Still waiting to get mine (plus the S2 one for my girlfriend's phone) in the mail... hopefuly intact!

Got my fantom today, it was by far the easiest application ever. Haven't noticed any issues with screen responsiveness at all. It shames all other protectors I've seen and used. Looks great with my SGP ultra hybrid case.
As for the light dots, you can only see them in bright light and they are not bothersome at all in my opinion. With my SGP ultra hybrid case it still is below the case bezel. The smoothness and glare are also nice in my opinion. Love the smooth polish, can use it as a mirror in bright light lol. Also less fingerprints on this than the SGP ultra oleophobic protector and vzw protector. Best investment ever since my ultra hybrid!

Mines came in today so going to install it later tonight? any tips or things to watch out for?

Just wipe out any dust and line up earpiece and camera, then work your way down to bottom keeping it straight. Don't be afraid to redo if you miss. It should be really easy.

[Q] HTC Double-Dip Case Question

Hello all,
I have seen/heard many things about the double-dip case for the HTC One (which I'm picking up next week!), however I am trying to find & buy the black/grey/black double dip case and can't find it anywhere! If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would me much appreciated.
Also, does it even exist/is it out yet? Almost everywhere I look I only see the red/white/black one, but on HTC's official site, the 4th picture accross shows the one I'm looking for.
Again, any help is appreciated.

I did read here on the forums that some people's phones were scratched because of it, but that the cause was remnant plastic from the speaker grill holes.
Also, I don't think it is too badly overpriced. Maybe by $5. Most of the other slim cases sell for around $20.

The HTC One itself does bear striking similarities (and I'm getting the black one, so even more so) to the iPhone 5 already, I don't really mind that. After all, everyone tries to copy the iphone in some way or another. Just look at Samsung. Plus, the case is basically the same as the back of the phone itself. Just a little added protection .

I have double dip case and it hasn't scratched my phone. Picking up the case-mate tough case to go with all the others I have. It's an addiction!

I have the black body with grey top and bottom speaker grills also black top and bottom speaker grills
This way you can have black black black or grey black grey combination

I have the double dip, and as long as your careful it won't scratch your phone
It's a super tight fit so make sure your screen protector is thin (if you have one) and NO SKINS

I haven't seen all the colors from the official HTC site so I was the wondering what the build quality is.

So I bought the grey/black one from that seller. Build quality seems solid. I have never played around with the red/black/grey one so I can't compare.
Fit was snug but no scratches. Volume buttons are a bigger pain then without the case which says something since they already weren't that great. Everything else seems pretty good. I like that it doesn't add much bulk to the phone.
Won the auction on the 19th (Friday) and received the cover on the 30th (Tuesday). Not bad considering it was an international delivery.

Yeaaah I would not trust anything a "Samsung rep" would say at a Best Buy. I'm pretty sure they are just like a Best Buy employee but with a Samsung shirt on. The one by my house hardly knew anything about the Note 2014. And it's his job to know.

Ditto, I asked for a 32 gb model and he gave me a 16 gb one fortunately I figured it out as I was being rung up. I haven't been in a best buy in ages now I know why. Guy came up to me and said I looked confused while I was looking at the tablet I came in the store to buy, way to really pi$$ off my type A personality. ?.

Am I being an idiot but if you look at the Smart Cover it looks as though if you want to use it as a stand you have to have the tablet upside down?

By George I think you're right.... Something sure doesn't look right about that. At this point I have a $5 MOKO case that I'm pretty happy with and a $3 Poetic case due in any day now that I think will be just fine. I like the look of the smart cover but can't rationalize $60 for it.

Yeah it does. Although I rarely use the camera I would rather it be this way than the other. Opening the other way (like last years version) occludes the view of the camera. If it weren't for the stupid home button it wouldn't make a difference as far as being upside down.

I would think it would work like the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 book cover, so the tablet would not be upside down.

Ah right...so it doesnt fold into a triangle like the smart covers on apple...Thats dissapointing but i guess it wouldnt work as it would be upside down lol. This looks like it will be difficult to get it to stay standing on the sofa or other non-flat surfaces.

I just picked up one of these today. And yes, it does work like the one on the Tab 3. Overall I'd say it's pretty nice. Very compact and seems stable enough on a range of surfaces.
