TrackID, Shazam and Soundhound are not working on my z1c.
TrackID says the microphone is used by another program. Strange cause I can use it to record memos. Or it just stays on the initial screen doing nothing until Android wants to close it because it doesn't respond anymore.
Shazam and Soundhound are running but don't recognize any songs. Probably cause they don't record any sound.
Other phones do recognize the sound without problems.
Tried rebooting, wipe user data. Didn't work.
My phone is rooted and has a custom dual recovery. I didn't unlock the bootloader.
It's on stock 4.4.4, 14.4.A.0.157.
Any suggestions?
I found the problem: I increased the volume of my Z1C with a ZIP file. But that one has the wrong "mixer_paths.xml" file in it for Android 4.4.4. The solution is in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53835372&postcount=285
(replacing the mixer file with the right one).

I've just installed cyanogenmod. Really satisfied =D
Except the fact that my camera is not working. When it opens, the screen is black with a few camera options. I really need the camera function urgently as my phone is my only camera and I have a lot of notes to scan using my phone. Please help =( Thanks in advance!
Try rebooting. I had the same issue.
rebooting doesnt work.. i have the same issue.. tried a camera fix (flashable zip) but still no dice ... it mite work for u maybe try it out http://www.4shared.com/get/17jiqADA/CWR-CM4DX-CameraFix.html
just boot into recovery and install from sdcard.
default-reboot, i.e. you have to define 2ndinit boot as default boot option, and then reboot without pressing vol_down when blue led is on. Your defy has to boot by itself, without bootmenu ever being launched. It is the bootmenu that corrupt viedo4linux initialization, and v4l is needed for cam preview (among other thing, media player do not show video without v4l too)

Hello guys. Since I am on ics(even before the root and unlocking the bootloader) I am experiencing ring delays. I've reinstalled the .587 several times and the problem still exist. When someone phone me, the phone starts to vibrate and after 1-2 seconds starts to ring. Sometimes when someone phone me short I am unable to feel or hear the phone. It is interesting though that I have and xperia active(stock, non-rooted) which do not experience this problem.
I am running arcknight v4 kernel, 460-1612mhz, services.jar from supercharger v8, disabled cpu rendering + adreno JB drivers.
How can I solve this ring delay? Thanks in advance.
Could be a couple of things. Simplest first, if you've re-flashed the rom then re-pick your ringtone. If that doesn't work then recovery, backup, wipe data, advanced restore restore data, reboot(consecutively i.e. no boot between actions).
1. Be root
2. Download any file explorer (I recommend es file explorer, which is free)
3. Go to system and open build.prop
U will see a lot of lines, go to the end and add:
Code:
ro.telephony.call_ring_delay=0
to disable blackscreen after calls add
Code:
ro.lge.proximity.delay=25
mot.proximity.delay=25
Thanks a lot, it worked, but as i see it is a dialer problem. When the phone instantly start to ring, the name and the picture of the contact do not load. But when the name and the picture of the contact manage to be loaded and displayed when ringing, the ringtone delay is even bigger. I found here at XDA an archive with port of the dialer, contacts and etc from Xperia S(i'll flash it via CWM). I hope that will be better than the current. Thanks a lot again!
This is a support thread for the ROM posted here.

* It is very important to clear factory data/cache after installing the CM7 rom.
* If your stuck on the android boot screen, connect usb and do a logcat to see what it is crashing on.
* The battery_charger has been replaced in this build as a safety backup to get into bootmenu. Anytime the phone is powered off and then plugged in it will boot to bootmenu instead of the charging screen.

I make all wipe data/cache and even Dalvik cache before and after install CM7 - but I stuck on the android boot screen.
But note: I made all wipes from CWM, because stock recovery is not works on my phone (only green robot and yellow triangle and that's all - nothing key works, only pull battery helps).

How can I make this (run logcat)?
Thanks for the advices.
Im not sure the clear data/cache works right in CWM. I have not tested it. To access the menu in the stock recovery hit the Home key.
To output a logcat open a command prompt and run "adb logcat"
If you want to output it to a file use "adb logcat > filename.txt"
so there is some querrys:
- torch app does not work as a flashlight, while it stay in status bar and even task killer wont help
- led notification light does not work at all, i guess there is no app for that and original is missing
- it wont unlock sim card, or lock it while it's unlocked. message is "incorrect pin". previously unlocked on other phone sim works fine. pin correct.
- the reboot menu list wont operate with joystick, only touch.
- both cameras wont work in skype, when forced induce crash.
- dev tools options become a force close
- voice dialer started by long press call button opens in wrong screen orientation and does not work. it work if started from all apps.
- superuser does not ask about allowing su permissions, there is no app listed as allowed su perm. while all super su apps works fine as usual.
- yandex maps app issue. rendering map result is quite not what it should be
I did it! Thanks for stock recovery main key (Home) .
And now some my notes (first, I use Russian language and CM7 has it).
- torch app doesn't work - this right for me too;
- about led - not work too;
- about sim - not check this yet;
- the reboot menu OPERATE for me with D-Pad;
- I don't use Skype;
- dev tools work in full for me;
- all correct about voice dialer;
- it's right too;
- don't install yandex maps yet.

was't been working for me too, but first reboot solved it
a lot of apps that uses the hardware gpu does not work properly, i guess this is same as camera driver problem and it can't be resolved till motorola releases it freely(only if)
also i am having issue with call ringtone - it rings for fraction of a second and then goes silent
I missed some egl librarires in the build, copying the attached files to /system/lib/egl should correct some of the graphic issues.

Any updates?
edit- specifically, does CM7 fix the poor bluetooth A2DP quality of the stock ROM?

I messed around following some tutorials, managed to root my phone and unlock the bootloader - a bit of messing around in Titanium Backup removing apps and services later, and I'm having a few issues. I'd be quite happy going back to stock rom, or flasing a rom - just as long as I get the functionality back.
My issues so far are :
1. Phone is not recognised via usb (brings up a MTP Device installer prompt, which never works) - trying with PC companion to no avail.
2. Received calls go straight to voicemail, dialled works fine - messaging works fine. All settings for diverts etc are set to disabled, tried a different sim in the phone, on a different network, same results.
Sony Update Service and PC Companion are installed, I SHOULD have the adb drivers installed, but to be honest, I'm not too sure if they are anymore. I still have the folders where I extracted all of the bootloader/root stuff, which I've called root and fastboot if the drivers there might be of any use.

Running stock rom, with modifications
I've been trying to install Game killer (the equivalent of CheatEngine on PC) except I ran into a very unusual problem. I've been using "Application installer". I would provide a link to the app, but I seems that the site won't let me.
The problem is that when I try to install the Game killer .apk through this installer app, I get to the usual permissions interface where I see what permissions the apk needs and all that. What's strange is that I cannot seem to click the Install button. I can interact with every other part of the screen, but I simply cannot hit the install button. Even pressing my finger onto the install button and then sliding towards the "Back" button will cause the back button to illuminate like it usually does, but I still cannot select the install button.
I'm running stock ROM, stock Kernels, stock everything. Device is rooted. I can install apps from google play just fine, but of course, Gamekiller is not on the play store.
I ran into a similar problem when I installed a screen rotation app. With the rotation app intstalled I could not install any other apps that were not from the app store. Once I removed the rotation app everything was fine. This a security feature in android to prevent apps from modifying your screen without you knowing it. Check if you have installed any app that could have modified your screen.
I had the same issue on mine, the app total screen control was the culprit. I couldn't get apps to install when TSC was active.
Are you using any type of screen filters? If you are, disable them and it should be able to work now.
