Root booster longer battery better stability and speed - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

This app is the single most amazing app I've used for my device. I encourage anyone who reads this to install root booster and try it. I have the full version, I wanted more battery life. I run a rom that I currently get 6 to 7 hours on screen time. I use to without this app get only 2 to 3 hours on screen time. I know it works and wanted to share it with my xda friends. How I tested it was to do my best to get as much on screen time as possible. Then I did the same but with the battery boost on this app. If you like it please shoot me a thanks and post and tell me what it's done for you. I first say my improvement when I was at 3 hours on screen time and I had 50% battery still left. I was shocked. Normally I'd be at 1%.

Where's the app?

I am assuming he is talking about this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-root-booster-boost-performance-t2909836
Google Play link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ram.memory.booster.cpu.saver&hl=en

Gotta say this app works!
I was skeptical at first to pay $1.30 and see an improvement but I was wrong. I paid the $1.30 (google opinion rewards gave me the money for that, great app too) and turned on the battery boost and I can see SIGNIFICANT increase of battery. Especially on standby. As well as browsing and watching videos. If you struggle to get an extra hour on the phone Buy This!
I'm running Alliance 4.4.2 with a lot of xposed mods. 2hrs screen time at 50% with Root Booster and that's exceptionally good! What's even more amazing is that I sense absolutely no lag or slower run of the phone.

[Q] Xperia S Battery Life

Hello everyone. I am new at XDA.
I was planning to buy the Sony Xperia S, but heard a lot of complaints about its battery life. Read a lot of threads but different people have different opinions and problems. So i though i would post my needs and get an idea of how much my battery will last.
My main usage of the phone EACH Day will be:
1. Playback of 720p (or less) resolution video playback, about 1.5-2 hours.
I will try to set the brightness below 40%. BRAVIA Engine Turned ON. Listen through Headphones (not the speaker)
2. Music playback, about 30 mins (through headphones)
3. 30-60 mins of games (using speakers)
4. 10 mins talk time over 2G
Note: I will only use 2G network. Wifi sometimes for browsing. Almost no network data usage. No account synchronization will be used at all. So basically in standby all network connectivity will be off, (gsm 2g network will be just on for incoming calls etc.)
My question is how long will the phone last in total after a full 100% charge?
Hope to get an answer soon.
it will last roughly 10-15hrs. but if youre just playing with your phone it will only last 5-6hrs.

By "Playing" u mean playing games or using the phone for any purpose and keeping the screen on?
By keeping the brightness at around 40% or so I get between 3 and 4 hours of screen on time per charge.
Not sure how demanding video playback is compared to normal screen on, but if playing games as well but I would guess closer to the 3 hour mark than 4.
There is a battery life thread somewhere that has a poll in it which might be useful.
As per u r requirements it will last 5 or more hours

The problem with all these newer devices is that the nice screens do drain a lot of battery. If you are going to be using the device that much then something like the razr does sound good.

The AMOLED screens consume lesser power. Like S3, Razr M, One S
I am looking forward to Moto Razr M then, or i will wait for the Xperia V to get reviewed. If its any good.

For no 3G data u're phone screen on would reach 4-5 hours! For always on 3G data it would last 3.5 hours! Playing movie consume less power! I tried with MX player with Hardware acceleration and set to one core limit! I could finish Two movies and still has 20%!

So this MX Player saves a lot of battery by turning off the unused cores and processing powers?
Thats good news.
Could you be more specific about how many hours those movies were in total?
And what was your Brightness Level and was your BRAVIA ON? (Does MX use the Bravia Feature?)
So MX Player has options to save battery? Thats great.
Could you please specify what you regularly do in your device and after how many hours you recharge?

This device is fast charged! 1:15mn full, if u're don't use it! And actually, i'm a heavy user, i browse the internet, fb,line, whatsapp, twitters, news and radio at night! Movie every spare time! I think it depends on how heavy or how much time u use it! Standy don't really consume battery! So there for depend on ur usage i guesss 8-10 hours! But the total screen on time must be around 4-5!

from 100% to 85% in 40 minutes!
* on rough time (playing games , movies , internet browsing etc) dropped from 100 to 85% in 15 minutes!
so I sold it .....and charge time was 2,5 hours from 0 to 100

[APP] Battery Core Live Wallpaper

Just released another live wallpaper. This wallpaper is tells how much battery you have left, voltage, temp and status. The spinning core will spin faster when you have full battery and slow down when your battery level gets lower. Also included are some particle effects. There's a few customization on the free version and more in the paid version. Its been optimized to use as little ram as possible and update cycles were slowed down to drain less battery. Tested on nexus 4, nexus 7, galaxy s2, galaxy s3 and lg g2x. Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 were my primary test devices so it should work pretty good on them. Check it out.
8-16-2013: Updated to allow users on the free version to get all features of the paid version by completing simple free offers. Download it for more info. Also, some bug fixes.

Paid version uses almost a third of the RAM per "Running Apps" section in Settings... awesome!
It's awesome.. But it uses too much of the cpu. I was surprised to see that after a few minutes of using the lwp, I suddenly saw it in the battery usage settings and it says that it's using about 7% of the battery.

That's weird. I've never seen it on my battery usage, not even on my nexus test devices. I truly put my test devices to the test when I develop on them. The only time I've ever noticed live wallpapers showing up on the battery use percent is when I just fully charged and rebooted or something like that. It probably only shows up cause I haven't done much on the phone

New updated things:
* Move text to top of battery core
* Cleaned up settings menu
* Adjust glow effect color on battery core(paid version only)
* Glow effect of battery core changes color on low battery, user sets low battery point
Nice. It reminds me of iron man

awesome!! installing soon :good:
Published another update. This time I think the 2 new cores, Core Type3 and Core Type 4 are pretty cool. Also added in some more particle shapes.
It went up as my wallpaper the day you posted it and it never came down. Sweet!!
Added another update. I dont know if anyone noticed, but I managed to fudge cake Core 2 with the Arc Reactor in my last update. There's also been a slight design change. It was a difficult decision, but I think in the end its a better design. Plus, doing it this way, has increased performance on phones 1 year or older, not that the nexus 4 has any problems with it. Heck, I still think its pretty powerful...running 60 fps even when flipping through the home screen really fast...unlike the Nexus 7, drops a few frames.

Worth the change? :)

I'd say the battery drain issues are fixed. And yes, this watch is definitely worth the change.
I am coming from Gear 2 and I must say the overall experience is better.
It is smooth, lots of apps, and it handles notifications much better than the Samsung (what is the main reason for a smartwatch).
Not everything is better, I miss the led screen and Te 4 day battery life.
Also the random battery drain is still an issue....
Overall I love the watch would not go back mainly because the better overall experience.
I;m thinking of this exact jump.. Gear 2 to SW3. Were you on tizen or android wear on gear 2? What are a couple of key features you like about sw3 vs gear 2, aside from notification. I am hoping that GPS is good for golf.. Aside from battery life, are there any other drawbacks?

Poor battery life

I have an LG G3 16GB and have been disappointed with the battery life for some time now, with the Android system typically being the culprit according to battery doctor with it using 64% on average. Oddly when I go into android settings and view battery use it's telling me the usage is...
Android OS 17%
Screen 17%
Cell standby 12%
Android System 8%
So battery doctor is telling me one thing and the native battery use app is telling me another.
I do find the phone get's quite hot around the camera area which is annoying as I am a light user. When I view the battery doctor app it's telling me the amazon apps (kindle & shop) are trying to restart 40 or 50 times over a period of an hour.
Anyhow would I be better off downgrading to Kitkat or maybe trying another ROM such as CM12. Any other suggestions welcome?
What's your SoT?
I'm assuming that you're on LG Stock Lollipop ROM. If that is true, go ahead and check Gabriel's Kernel and apply Bullet's or any other settings that suits you. My phone used to suck battery real fast, but I factory reset my phone and flashed Gabriel's Kernel and applied Bullet's settings. It helped, to say at least. I got 3.45 SoT unlike before (2.40 SoT). So yeah. Also, don't forget to use greenify. Currently I'm on AOSP and the battery isn't that far than stock with Gabriel's Kernel. Note that sometimes the kernel lags.

rom wise i use cloudy 2.5

battery runs out fast while using phone

hi all,
I recently switched from stock rom with root, to pure nexus rom and ElementalX kernel.
the reason i changed the stock rom is because of battery drain while phone is asleep.
the wakelock detector showed that the play store and google services kept it awake.
now the awake percentage is much better, but it seem like the battery runs out faster when i'm using the phone.
the battery can loose 1% an hour asleep, but it seem like every time a touch the phone it looses its power really fast.
does it make any sense?
should i just admit that the 5x battery just isn't enough for me?
i'll be happy to hear you advice,
thanks

Maybe you guys need to look at some of the apps you run? Facebook and messenger are known to cause these issues, there are alternatives but it may be worth a try.
I have no issues with my phones battery and last a day no problems.
I can use my phone all day at like 85% brightness and then not charge it overnight, wake up the next day and still have enough battery. Usage differences aside, the things you should be looking at are the kinds of apps you're using and the way you have your kernel configured. As suggested previously, apps like Facebook and Facebook Messenger are widely known battery killers (Metal is a good alternative). Make sure you have adaptive brightness on, the screen is, by far, the biggest battery drain. Lastly, but more importantly, configuring your kernel and cpu governor would really help. I know you said you're running the ElementalX kernel, which is a fantastic kernel. I'd recommend getting the ElementalX Kernel Manager app from the play store and using that to tweak the kernel to your liking. Specifically disabling Touchboost and trying some of the tweaks in this thread. Touchboost is a battery killer as well and rarely effects the fluidity of the phone. The tweaks / profiles in the post I linked are an easy way to apply different values to the tuneable parts of a CPU governor. These values effect things like what frequency the CPU is at under a particular load, the input boost frequency (the frequency the CPU jumps to when you interact with the screen), and generally how the CPU behaves. In most cases, users have reported a nice bump in battery life AND performance. Some people are reported achieving over 6 hours of Screen On Time on a single charge. If that doesn't get you through the day, then idk what will.
The battery in the N5X isn't huge, but it isn't tiny by any means. It really depends how you use your phone; everyone's different. I highly recommend doing what I said above, it'll make a huge difference in your device, I promise.

Would highly recommend AT LEAST getting a different kernel and following the same recommendations I made above. A different ROM that's optimized with UberTC helps with overall responsiveness and battery life slightly as well.
Hi thanks for the advice much appreciated I don't run apps like Facebook and Twitter not a fan however I will try a custom kernel and see if that makes any difference
Thanks again

thanks,
i an using messenger and Facebook, but i blocked their active wakelocks.. it think it does the trick. this is the problem with those apps, right?
when i'm not using the phone the battery consumption is OK, my problem is with the time i'm using the phone, so i think tweaking with the kernel setting may be useful... i'm trying to use free apps only, but i may consider downloading the ElementalX app if it turns out useful.
Regarding the screen - is auto brightness is a battery saver?
thanks for the help

The EXKM app has a number of good CPU governor profiles Built in.
I think it's really worth the couple of bucks.
Also if you're indoors mostly you can probably keep the brightness at 10-20% instead of auto which really helps with battery life.
I bought the elemental app last night and installed the elemental kernel before my phone used to say 8 hrs of battery remaining after installing the kernel it now says 2 days remaining what a difference I've kept auto brightness on disabled touchboost and I'm using the butterfly profile
Thanks for all the advice people
