Hi.
I've recently bought a G3.
I've inserted my microSD card into it, but it happens nothing.
The card is working on my previous S5 and is working on my laptop.
How can I check if I have any problem with the G3 microSD slot?

Did you try rebooting the phone with the sd in?
You simply don't see its content when you insert it?

Yes....and nothing at all...
It's like if the microSD wasn't there
Does it show in Settings/Storage so that you can erase it? Guess not.

I'm not exactly sure what the issue is if it works on your other device. Stock KK is known to have EXfat issues but FAT32 should work fine.
One thing you can try is to backup your stuff somewhere (like pc), format the sd card and try it. That being said, if it doesn't fix it, it could be a kernel or hardware issue.

No.
In storage, the SD options are "shutdown"
I think I found the problem.
The small metalic pins that connect the microSD have two of them that are a bit lower than the other ones.
This must cause that the microSD is not detected.
The space is quite narrow to push them up.... how can I solve this????

Well if you recently bought it so you could just have it replaced. Otherwise, while it's not something I'd do without any experience, you could undo the back and lift them up yourself with tweezers or something like that.

Ok So i have 2 micro sd cards one 8GB and one 32GB. I had recently just bought the 32GB one to give myself a good amount of space but unfortunately they both just stopped working all together. Basically one day my GS3 just began rejecting my 32GB card so i attempted to format it on my computer with a usb adapter, i tried both windows and mac os trying a range of programs but it just won't format. I even tried to format it using CWM but it can't mount it. but i don't think its fried because i just got it and it was working fine for like 2 - 3 weeks...so then i put my 8GB card in for 2 days and same thing...can't format or erase or mount on android...i've searched all over the web and need help cuz at this point i feel like my phone is destroying SD cards.
And one last piece on info if it helps I'm running the task AOKP 4.1.1 rom with their latest release and their latest O/C Kernel and clockwork mod touch on an AT&T Galaxy s3
please help as soon as possible

Yeah, this happens to me too. Reboot, let the phone say the card is damaged, open the back case while the phone is on, remove and re-insert sdcard and that should solve your problems.

If you are using windows try using the Command prompt. You will need to select the volume of the sd cards then delete it. I beleive they will become as RAW disks where you will have create them as new disks from disk management.

Open up an admin command prompt, then type 'diskpart' it'll start the utilitiy in command prompt. Then type 'list volume' it'll show volumes 0 through ~8 or so depending on how many you have. Once you know the number that is associated with your sdcard volume, then type 'select volume x' x being the number of your volume. Then type 'delete volume'
After that go into disk management and find your sdcard. It'll say unallocated. Right mouse click and create new simple volume.

Download the SD Card Formatter and try to format your card using that tool; see if that works. I made the mistake of formatting my brand-new SanDisk 64GB microSD card, which worked perfectlyin my Galaxy S III prior to that, and it wouldn't work afterwards. I tried all different methods of formatting & formatting programs to no avail. As soon as I used this program, my card worked like a charm in my phone again!
Good luck!

Ive tried that and many other formatting programs but none of them work

I'm using aLenovo A7000 running on ressurection remix V5.5.9 in which i don't have the option to unmount my sd card. Please suggest me a way to do it and also while transferring files from my pc on my phone...i switched my phone from a mass storage device to the'charging only'option and after that my phone doesn't get recognised at all by my pc as a usb mass storage device.... And i can't even find those options anywhere in the settings and usb debugging also isn't working.Pls help me ASAP!
My 16gb SD card also does this. Before it started though, all of my music files on it became damaged, but would still play partially, then end prematurely. I think this may just be cheap ass SD manufacturing. I say just boycott SD and get the Samsung card.
Solution / Fix:
Install Wake Lock PowerManager on google play. Enable Partial_Wake_Lock then viola! No more unmounted / eject problems. The problem is everytime your mobile is in sleep mode, the unmounting error occurs.
Also install SD Card Monitor to check the counter of mounted/unmounted/ejected sdcard.
Hope this helps.

When formatting in Windows, it will ask you the cluster size. But now that I think of it, if the phone won't even try to format the card, it likely isn't detecting that there's something in the slot at all. If you bought it from a carrier, I'd bring it in and have them look at it with another card and give you a new phone if it's the slot.
Have you tried formatting it inside the phone?

im using 128gb..no problems
Hi friends, Im using 64gb class 10 sandisk sd card. So after updating to lollipop i have been getting these errors frequently and i have to restart the handset to fix it temporarily. I had this issue on kitkat as well but happened only rarely like once a month or so.
These two things happened unfortunately,
1) i had dropped my phone on carpet from 2 feet after lollipop update. I wonder if the phone couldn't handle it!
2) i removed the sd card without unmounting it from settings and immediately got the error and kept happening after that.
so i am confused what caused the issue. Is the connector loose or what is the problem. this is very annoying!
I have formated sd card, reset handset and tried another sd card and still the same issue. sd card is detected on the pc. Happens with transcend sd card as well. Please advise i am confused. do i take it to the service center. will they find out if it was a physical damage?
In my experience that happens when cards start to go bad. Maybe once to often of removing without unmounting first?

yes i did remove the sd card a couple of time without unmounting, however as i said that even my 8gb trancend card threw the same error... im gonna try another 64gb card and see the result.. still more replies would be appreciated
so i noticed that the issue kept happening even with 3 different sd cards in the phone. Surprisingly the error also popped up without the sd card. I am assuming this is an issue with lollipop software? can someone please shed some light on this ****!

Hi,
i have one question,
so i have one Sandisk Extreme 32GB, but my 10 after nougat is getting really hot when i use it with or when is in charge, also the battery is so bad that i want to try a Hard Reset.
My question is can the internal storage SD Card reconize the 10 even after a Hard Reset?
Thanks
Sandisk Extreme UHS-1? It'll recognize only UHS-3, i think... (i have one of 64GB UHS-3 and it works well)

Well, I think the other guys here didn't read your post thoroughly.
You said you are using the sd card as internal/adopted storage. This means your data are lost now.
Adopted storage can not be used anymore if you change your phone or do a factory reset. You have to format the SD card before you can use it again.
And I don't understand why you didn't save all your data on your PC before doing something like this...
