[Q] MDR-NC31E Headphones with NC - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Hi,
I brought Sony mdr-nc31e headphones and they are just awesome on our T2 Ultra dual.
I want to know to know, whether T2 Ultra Dual has DNC chipset ? And also, does it has 5 pole 3.5 audio jack support?

The sound should be the same but MH1(LiveSound) is compatible with "sony erricson" devices and MH1c(Smart Headset) is compatible with the new "sony" devices so be sure that your device is in the list.
More information you can find in the following article wrote on sony mobile site: talk.sonymobile.com/message/154264#154264
There are two major standards out there for headsets, OMTP and CTIA. Sony Ericsson phones follow the OMTP standard along with other manufacturers, while other follows the CTIA standard.
The difference of these two standards is the wiring to the 3,5mm plug. Therefore if you connect a CTIA headset to a Sony Ericsson phone you might get reduced functionality or it might not work at all. (Depending on accessory and phone model)
If your headset is listed as "compatible with iPhone" it follows the CTIA standard.
If you have a headset that follows the CTIA standard that you would like to use with your Sony Ericsson phone you could contact your local repair center to check if you can order the adapter 1249-0456 EC250 to convert to OMTP.
For more information about local repair centers contact your local support team.
When it comes to headphones (no mic) there is only one standard out there, so any 3,5mm headphones works with your Sony Ericsson phone.
NOTE.
Sony Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U uses the CTIA standard so you won't need the adapter above to get your CTIA headset to work with these models. But if your problem is the other way around, you would like to use a OMTP headset with your Sony Xperia you will have to look for a adapter converting OMTP to CTIA.

i bought a pair of mh1c and they didnt work with my Defy+
they are supposed to be the newer ctia standard
i returned them and plan on getting the older model: mh1, because the noise cancellation was better than anything else

[Q] Do Beats by Dre headphone works with sony Xperia Zl ?

Hey I had Booked Monster Beats Dr. Dre Solo HD from Ebay, but I had Doubt that do it work with my Xperia Zl, N what would be its Audio Quality, Plz help n rply !
Do NOT buy Beats
They're **** headphones, cheaply made and sound like ****.
I've owned two different pairs of Beats, two different styles and the stock Sony earbuds that came with my ZL and Z1 sounded better.
Go to your local Sony store and check out their headphone selection. Match the price with what you're paying for Beats and you'll be blown away by the difference.

Sony STM10?

Hello,
does the Z3 Series feature a 5 pol 3.5 jack? Did sony mention the compatibility of the microphone with the new z3 series?
Yes, Z3 & Z3C support / have a 5-pole 3.5mm jack, else I wouldn't know how e.g. the Sony MDR-NC31EM Digital Noise Cancelling headset could work (which they claim it does in the White Paper). Similarly, the Stereo-Mic STM10A should work, too.

Is there a way to use a classic (3-pole 3.5 mm jack) external stereo microphone on the Z3C ?
I already have a good one (Sony ECM-719) and would like to use it rather than buy the STM10.
Thanks

Z1 compatibility with stm-10

Hi everyone, so I've been trying to find whether xperia z1 supports a 5 pole audio connector, since I'd like to buy a Sony speaker microphone stm-10 for better recordings. However, while searching I found out that this little thingy was released after the release of z2 so there are no answers anywhere whether it's compatible with z1 or not (because of the 5 pole jack). I've tried reaching out the support and electronics center but no proper answer was given to me.
