How can i find out the brand of my htc m9 ?? And how do i know which rom is compatible with my cell cuz i got this secondhand and dont know if its vodafone or sprint or atnt and does the really matter if im flashing with s-off ?? Can i flash any chose any one of the ruu's given for this device ??

yes u need to know Which M9 u have
& cannot flash any other ROMS until its Common ROm for all M9
Moslty u will be having Sprint M9 as it doest carry any logo
While AT&T & Verizon have there logo Imprinted on phones
If u Phone is Activated on Sprint it will Show u Sprint Logo when it Starts & if not activated than it wont Show any logo

There is no logo on my cell not while booting nor on the body it just said htc on the back n front and when i turn it on .. thats it how am i suposed to findout which brand of htc one m9 iv got im seriously confused about which firmware to flash but does that really matter if iv got s off and unlocked bootloader ??

I've rooted my htc one m9 and now im running ViperOne ROM on it. I whish to go back to original stock ROM but i couldn't find the proper ROM download. Somebody please help mee..
The device is from Arabic region and i think its not any carrier specific model. I saw a google drive link here on another thread saying Asian RUU, but the link is no more available.

can anyone give me step by step of how to return to stock ? , my phone is htc one m8 At&t rooted , s off , super cid , update to 4.4.3 ( updated the firmware ,2.22.401.4 ) and flashed ARHD 11.1. There are a lot of tutorial but it so confusing

Stop spamming the damn boards because you lack the ability to read what people are telling you and/or can't make out a simple step by step procedure.
Just run the damn RUU, lock the phone go back S-ON and don't bother to customize another phone ever again. You're clearly not out to learn anything for yourself.
OP please only create one thread. I'm closing this as you don't need three.
So i was unrooting my One and got sidetracked and messed with the TWRP recovery settings and soon realized that i had erased everything on it, including the OS. Please help
P.S. It is the 4.4.2 KitKat version AT&T variant. I have no backups.

You can get backups from the Collection thread however you do have an AT&T device so why not just run a RUU?
Look in AT&T section for it, it's there. AT&T One (M8) Genera

At&t 1.58.502.1 Bootable RUU - No PC required - Mac friendly
There's a step by step in that thread. Like they said though, just make sure to lock bootloader if you're S-ON.

after small research i find 2 ways :
1- is so complex by unlock bootloader, S-off, nandroid stock then stock recovery .. etc do it and got an OTA update but once i go to install the update i stuck on Hboot and fastboot ... seems fail situation there, so i ask someone he told me to >>
2- get the RUU for HTC One M8 WWE Unlocked ??? where can i find this **** because he told me he got the ruu for T-mobile HTC one m8, and i don't want to install it sense i have international unlocked version ???? any help plz :good:

I recently got unlocked HTC one m9 from one friend and i thought its international version. When i boot it to bootloader mode it shows "Unlocked" and "S-Off". I installed TWRP recovery and tried to root phone to flash viper rom but now phone goes into bootloop with red text "This build is for development purposes only…”.
I am not sure what is going wrong and how do i get my phone back working. I appreciate if someone guide to get my phone working and root phone for custom rom.

no nandroid backup?? either that or just flash Att RUU. You can find the RUU on htc.com with all the details and instructions needed. Youll be fully stock and after that just flash twrp and whatever you want

I am downloading "RUU_HIMA_UL_M60_SENSE70_ATT_MR_Cingular_US_3.38.502.12.exe" file from HTC portal. Is it unlocked version or compatible with my unlocked phone. I am asking this because i dont want to brick my phone.

My bad man.. I think that you're firmware is the developer edition one. The firmware number must match the one you're flashing. (3.35.617.xx = 3.35.617.xx)
Either that or just change cid and mid and flash whatever you want. Check out the guides in the general section. They usually explain this better than I do

If you're on Lollipop, you can use sunshine to unlock and flash away. If on MM, you have to downgrade to LP, and then use sunshine to unlock (this is a cost of 25 USD). There is a thread for the downgrade here in the Verizon forum. As for a rom, I highly recommend LeeDroid, as he makes roms for all M9s, and he is based out of the UK. For that, just go to the HTC One M9 main forum, not the Verizon forum. I'm currently running it and it is fantastic.
Edit: Sorry, totally somehow thought you were locked. Anyway, just make sure you have the latest TWRP and flash any rom you want, but you'll find more activity here:

I can't remember off the top of my head if your recovery is new enough (I believe it is), but here is the thread for TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3066720
If you don't feel comfortable rebooting your phone into different modes and doing some command prompt codes, I'm not sure I'd recommend doing any of this though. Make sure you do your research and read, read, read. Maybe even search YouTube for examples of people flashing TWRP and such.
