Hi there,
Just picked up a Sony smartwatch 3 on Saturday and I'm.using it with a Sony Xperia Z3. Everything is working fine inside the house. But outside when I was walking the dogs earlier today I was not receiving any notifications even though my.phone was vibrating in my pocket for texts and e-mail. This afternoon 1 text and 1 call came through when I was walking the dogs again but not everything came up. Any help would be great.

Just picked mine up this afternoon and gotta say I'm pretty disappointed thus far. I had a gear live when it became available and my phone could be upstairs, and still stay connected to my watch in the basement. With the 360, I go down just one level and it disconnects. I will say that before with the gear I had a Moto X and now I have a G3. I don't think the phone would make much different but so far it's pretty big difference as far as range goes. Everything the 360 is better imo. I don't want this to be a deal breaker as usually my phone is on me, but it was nice being able to lounge downstairs and still get my notifications on my watch. What kind of range are you guys seeing?
I live in a 3 story townhouse and they will stay connected when one is in the basement and the other is on the top floor. My 360 is paired to an M8.

i get some good distance also but it depends on where i am. At home i can walk to the mailbox and back but at work only one floor. I think it depends on the interference in the area.
Yeah I think I'll be returning it which really sucks. Even if it is the phone, I can't just switch phones because of the watch. Really odd this is happening.
So, I received my pixel 2xl and one of the first things I did was connect it to my car infotainment system via Bluetooth. I noticed I had a lot of static during phone calls. Mind you I don't have this issue with my iPhone 6 or S8 plus connected to the system. I contacted Google and they sent me an email with steps to troubleshoot, still no go. While fiddling with the phone I noticed whenever anything covered the back glass panel I would notice the static even more. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
Long story short Google is sending me a replacement (Sucks they had to hold $1000+ on my credit card to ensure they receive the original phone back lol)
I had this same issue with my 6p back in the day. When I would stream music to my bluetooth speaker at work it was fine but as soon as I had to crouch down or something with the phone in my pocket, the bluetooth would cut out. Google apparently puts all their eggs in that glass basket and if you cover it you get nothing.

Hmmmm I see. It's quite annoying. Glad they are sending another one. Hope it doesn't have the same issue.
Happens with last year's xl too.

Hey XDA!
I've during the past couple of weeks been getting complaints over my call quality from receivers. Now, as it's getting colder outside and I tuck my phone under my hat while making a phone call, my friends could no longer stand the horrible sound my phone was making.
After some research, having used WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, the built in phone call app - all same result.
I've come to the conclusion that my phone uses the back microphone (the one inbetween the camera and the flash) at all times. When I called myself from my friends phone, the quality is poor. It's really bad. I can hear echoing, I hear people several meters away who aren't talking to the phone, talk.
My phone should be using the bottom microphone, right? I cannot imagine this is the standard quality of the phone call.
I bought my 5T on release, so around 1 year ago now. I'm on 8.1.0, latest update, no root.
What should I do and how should I proceed? Tried making a thread on the official OP forums but I don't have the permission (I did just create an account there so might take some time before I get that permission).
Thanks!
Hi I'm having the same issue. Did you resolve your problem?
I just got this phone a few days ago after upgrading from my old ****ty Xperia XA, and while I really like it, I have a problem with it.
I work as QA in a factory, which means I spend about half my day in a quiet office and the other half in a noisy factory. I receive a lot of phone calls throughot the day, so what I've been doing is that I always have my headset plugged in one ear so I don't disturb my collagues in the office, and I can also hear when someone is calling in the factory (where I can't even feel the vibration in my pocket).
My old phone only rang through the headset when they were plugged in, so this worked perfectly, but now it rings through both the headset and the speaker, and I can't seem to disable only the speakers. So I can either mute the phone, in which case I won't notice it ringing while I'm in the factory, or I can leave it on normal, which means I'm gonna disturb my officemates constantly and make a lot of emberassing situations.
Is there any way to work around this?
Hi all. Does anybody else have any issues with the microphone on their S20 Ultra (Exynos)? Yesterday I was on WhatsApp video call with my dad and every few minutes my microphone would stop working, ie. he would not hear me until I disconnected and called him again, sometimes twice before it would work again. Initially I though maybe WhatsApp is buggy on new phone but today when I made a normal phone call to my mum I had the same issue, although only first time around and when I called again it was fine for the remainder of 20+ min call. But later in the day I again called my dad on WhatsApp and same thing happened, only once but still. Anyone else? Should I be worried my Ultra is dodgy on the hardware level or is this something that can be fixed with software update?
Same here. My s20 plus microphone hardly catches any voice when my mouth is near the mic itself. Whereas while on call the other party hears nothing when I speak normally on calls. It's annoying af. Somebody give us a solution.
Warranty is solution.
