Phone Only Boots When Plugged In - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I just recently Odin the NJ3 tar over my ND8 stock deodexd debloated ROM a couple of weeks ago. Then I started experiencing that the phone will randomly shuts off automatically and the only way to turn it back on is to plug it into a power source.
So I decided to flash the Stock+NJ2+Deodex.zip using Philz after doing a wipe to install a new ROM. This caused the phone to only boot to the Sprint Logo and then it shuts down. So I decided to wipe and install Wicked S5 Xperience V2.2. Now I am at where the phone will only boot and runs if it is plugged into a power source.
Can someone suggest a solution or steps to get my phone back to stock (including all the needed downloads)?
Can I restore a backup I made prior to updating to NJ2 (while still on ND8)?
Can I install the ND8_STOCK_DEODEXED_ROOTED.zip after upgrading to NJ3?
Note: The phone runs fine when I boot into Philz and so it cannot be a bad battery?

Installing an ND8 Stock ROM on NJ2 disables Wifi. So I managed to install the Stock+NJ2+Deodex.zip and get the phone running just as long as it is plugged in.
When I unplug to run on battery, the phone turns off. When I try to turn it on, it gets to the Sprint Logo and then turns off.
I can boot into Philz recovery mode on battery and it works fine in recovery mode without turning off.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

[Solved] New Battery
Thanks for all the help.
The Sprint store tested the battery and it failed. Installed new battery and phone is now working again. What's the chance the battery gave out at the same time I flashed a ROM?

Samsung galaxy 3 wont turn on !!! Need Help !!!

so i decided to flash hyperdrive rom to my phone. i had like 26% battery and i took the risk to flash the rom while charging the phone with cwm. when the rom was done flashing, the phone booted but was stuck on the first hyperdrive logo, not the animated one. so i turned off the phone and then turned it back on. but the phone didnt turn on and after pressing the power button for 10 sec approximately, the charging battery logo showed for a sec then the phone turned back off. need help plz !!
pull battery out for a few minutes and if that does not work, then i recommend just using odin to unroot and flash stock then re-rooting your device. just make sure to have it plugged in to so it charges at the same time. then reflashing hyperdrive with the battery fully charged.

This would have nothing to do with the rom or flahs really because honestly 26% is enough time to flash any rom. This sounds like a hardware issue but maybe not.
As previously suggested does doing a battery pull for at least a few minutes let the phone boot up at all ? If so just odin. If not its hardware dead
Did you clear data/cache/Davlik after flashing? Doesn't sound like a power problem, but you can always charge the phone while it's off. If you cannot get back to recovery, there's always Odin/Heimdall to flash your phone back to stock.

[Q] Powering on after plugging charger even with stock KK bootloader

This has been driving me nuts for the longest time now: My P600 automatically powers on and starts to boot whenever I plug in the AC charger, meaning I can't charge it while it's powered off. The battery icon shows up for a second and then goes away, followed by the boot animation.
I'm aware this is a known issue when making the jump from 4.3 to 4.4.2 (that's when it started to happen anyways) and the recommended fix is to flash a stock KitKat ROM to get the KitKat bootloader, but I've tried that at least three times by now and the problem persists, which is really frustrating.
The first stock ROM I tried was the Mexico CNF1 version after fully wiping. I also ticked the "Phone Bootloader Update" option in Odin. Then I tried the Cellular South CND2, but that was also to no avail.
I don't know what to do now. I might as well try downgrading if nothing pops up. Could somebody help me out?
EDIT: Additional info, I'm using TWRP 2.6.3.3 to wipe system/data/cache/dalvik and Odin v3.09 if that helps any.

Reboot when USB Cable / Power Removed

I just received a replacement I747M. It was running android 4.4.2 I747MVLUFNK2. I rooted and flashed recovery. Even before I installed custom rom the phone would not boot with the stock firmware unless the phone is plugged in. When plugged in the phone will boot and work fine. Whenever the cable is removed phone automatically reboots, and will start boot looping. Return the cable and the phone works fine. I tried flashing back to stock with a sammobile image of the same firmware. I also tried installing a custom rom and experience the same issue. When I flashed back to stock firmware phone took forever to load and didn't seem to get past the splash screen after waiting for over 10 min, however it was able to boot without the power cable plugged in. Any advice here would be appreciated.
Thanks
Update: I have re-flashed to stock successfully but still experiencing the boot loop problem when not connected to a USB power source. There is no reboot in recovery or download mode. Again plugging the USB cable into the phone resumes normal boot and operation. Only when the cable is removed does the phone restart.
Update #2: Turns out it was an issue with the battery. Trying another battery seems to have solved the problem.

Hi there,
I have the same phone as you (I747MVLUFNK2) and can't find any Xda post on how to root it... How did you did it?
Thanks
Is your phone still under warranty? If not, flash a custom recovery and install supersu from recovery.

Black Screen, Unable to boot after CM12 installation

I decided to install Cyanogenmod 12 on my LG G3. Everything went fine until the point of configuring apps and he final reboot. The screen went totally black. I tried rebooting normallly and rebooting into recovery but there was no boot animation or the LED did not even flash. I tried charging the phone but the still doesn't want to boot. I tried to install the stock firmware through download mode by pressing the volume up and plugging the phone into a PC, but I am even unable to go into download mode. If its like the phone's battery is not working but I do not think its battery since it happened at the moment when I installed CM12, unless it was an extreme couincidence. Thank you for your help!
What variant do you have, and what did you install? (D855?) Also try removing the battery and then powering it back up.

s3 t999l unable to flash any rom with twrp 3.1.1-0

I did a search and maybe not correctly but I did not find my particular problem.
So I have stock root66 rom flashed with odin 3.11 on my phone goes into boot loop.
I flashed twrp 3.1.1-0 with odin and I can go into recovery but as soon as I select any rom (OCT-N-WEEKLY-20170811-1427-d2tmo) it starts to do something and just reboots the phone and back into the boot loop. I reboots to fast for me to even figure out what it says on the phone.
Has anyone else experienced this? Battery is charged to 80%+
edit: tried CWM same symptoms reboots right away. Only thing I can flash with is odin otherwise with any recovery reboots right away. I was able to flash a modem with twrp and that works but no roms work.
update 2: I finally was able to get root66 installed. Gets to the set up part. Once I finish the setup the phone turned off on its own. It never turns on on its own so leads me to believe the power button isnot stuck but why does it turn off on its own? I turned back on and goes into bootloop.
The power button may be stuck in the "pressed" position.
Have you tried TWRP 2.87? You're sure you are flashing the correct TWRP version for the phone?

Thanks for the reply. I have tried 6.0.1.2_CWM_Touch-recovery-image & twrp-3.0.2-0-d2tmo.img but not 2.87.
However, as I stated above I was able to flash a modem but just not flash any roms which is weird.
If the power button pressed and the phone reboots when i pull the battery and put back in wouldn't the phone turn back on? I'm just finding it odd the phone keeps rebooting but when I pull the battery and put back in it doesnt turn on automatically.
update: So 2.8.6 twrp worked which is odd installing as we speak phone has not rebooted yet so lets see how it does once rom is flashed. I did odin root66 and after that installed it kept rebooting so fingers crossed this works. Using OCT-N-WEEKLY-20170811-1427-d2tmo hopefully this works
so after the flash seems to just back to the bootloop. I'm still not convinced my power button is stuck since it doesnt auto turn on and during the whole process of flashing it didnt reboot on its own only after the flash. Any ideas?
Literally gets to the samsung galaxy siii logo and reboots right away.
Try flashing the latest stock ROM, not a rooted stock ROM.

same bootloop. Gets to the tmobile animation and then reboots.
It's possible that the memory chip is damaged. You could take it to a repair shop and have it flashed via jtag.
