[Q] XPeia Style 100% equal to T3 - Sony Xperia T3

Hi guys,
I am getting my new Xperia Style tomorrow. People say it is just the T-Mobile Version of the T3. Can I savely Flash it with the newest T3 Firmware D5103_18.1.A.2.25 to debrand it and have it as a "real" T3 then?
Thanks,
Timiboy

I don't know, you can try it tho, then report here :good:

So I checked it..sort of The box says XPeria T3, meaning that it is 100% identical. I uninstalled all T-Mobile stuff and except of the start up logo all is like a standart T3. I will Keep it like that until Lolipop comes out. than I will debrand it!

[Q] [Flash Question] Flash Xperia S Firmware on Arc S Possible?

Has anyone with more abilities than me tried flashing Xperia S on Arc s Phone?
I know nothing about packing and unpacking kernels and systems...
But if it serves as a meter on my experiences, I've flashed all of Arcs Firmwares successfully, unlocked bootloader, Installed Custom firmwares on it, Cyanogenmod (4.1 and 4.2.2), P.a.c (4.2.2), MIUI. All sucessfully and used them for a long time.
As I know from friends that Arcs firmware can be flashed on Arc. Neo L firmware can be flashed onto the Xperia Play etc...
So would you know if with a little bit of tinkering Xperia S could be flashed on Arc S?
Or, if it is just bluberish?

Better not to try. You might hard brick your device. That means, that your device will be unrecoverable.

[Q] Kitkat 4.4.2 on Xperia M?

Hello everyone,
I just bought this sony xperia m and i want to put the latest version of kitkat in it, but I really don't know where to start.
I know I may sound like a total n00b, but this is my very first experience w/ a smartphone.
Thanks!
well theres no official kitkat rom yet for the m, there are custom roms so you will have to root and unlock your bootloader to flash them all instructions are in the respective threads, also this only applies if your bootloader is unlockable and not hard locked
Sent from my C1905 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Wow! I would not be in any rush to install a modified ROM on an XPERIA M.
There are upgrades in the works for the XPERIA M which MAY take the phone up to an official Sony distributed/supported Android 4.3
Sony's warranties don't cover a phone while the bootloader is unlocked
Just enjoy your new phone as it is for a while.
The current JB 4.1.2 firmware is very stable, the graphics processor is VERY strong for this price range phone.
Battery life with the standard Sony distributed Android 4.1.2 is very good.
If this is your first Smart Phone and you want to broaden your knowledge base, start off with applying root access to your phone.
You don't have to unlock the bootloader to do this.

[Q] <NEWBIE> Is this phone hard to root etc.?

Hello,
I may go and buy this Xperia M but as of now, im using a Samsung Galaxy Mini which i rooted really easily just by clicking one button. But as for Xperia, i read that You need to unlock the "bootloader" . Well, if im going to unlock the bootloader, do i get some differences from the locked one? (I mean, will some stock stuff work?) And whats the difference between the Xperia M "C1904" and "C1905" ? And also, I havent seen popular ROMs like MIUI or other manufacturer ROM (Touchwiz, Sense ROMs etc.) to be ported’ or developed for the Xperia M. Well, when I think, the procedure to port those ROMs is same when i do this for my old Mini? Thanks For The Answers

Nope .too easy ,right now DEV'S found an easy way to root Xperia M really easy ..Using towelROOT ...it will do the rooting finish in 3 mins .
Rooting does not require you to unlock your booloader . But if you want to install custom rom's then you should unlock your bootloader for that .. :and there are like 10+ ROMS that can be apply in this PHONE .

Well, do You there will be more than 10 ROMs? Otherwise, I would go for the S3 Mini (they are pretty same)

Cm11 fxp builds are quite stable (latest one is fastest and bugless), there are different roms too and I am sure there will be more. You can follow development thread.
Despite this If you don't want to buy xperia m, you can go for motorola moto g.

I know about Moto G but they aren't selling that in Czech Republic Otherwise i would surely go for the Moto G. That's why I'm here, I don't know what to pick, performance (Xperia M) or for the one which have a bigger developer community (the S3 Mini). Btw. the S3 Mini has a 100% bugless CM11

You don't need to unlock bootloader in order to root Xperia M.
It is not hard to root the phone.
As for what device to buy, it is your choice. Depending on what you need and like you will have to make this choice by yourself.

Hey C126
I don't know if it is possible by an original Firmware as Sony haven't announced this.
Maybe our friends from XDA could develop a custom Firmware for 4.3 to LT26w.
Anyway, let me know if you find this new information too, I'm having a proximity sensor problem with my LT26w after I updated to JB (I asked for help in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56680427#post56680427) and I'm anxious for an update, custom or original, to try to fix this bug in my device!

[Q] Not a noob, but a z1 compact noob lol

Hello there....well as the story goes..... I got a cute lovely Z1 compact, and as the owner of many different xperias (i.e the SP, Z2 etc) I knew that by the work of nut and doomlord, that we could have cm11/12 running on locked bootloaders (mine says NO in the bootloader unlock section), is this possible on the z1 compact? as i do love the vanilla style of CyanogenMod..... who can point me towards any guides.....
Second question, I have heard that there is a program that allows you to port Z1 roms to Z1 compact with a patch..... is this available...?
Last one....can i go from lollipop to jellybean? i know i can go to kitkat, but i used to love the battery friendly jellybean lol
Unfortunately unlike the Xperia SP which had CM12 for LBL, Z1C doesn't have that. There are ways to root the Z1C without unlocking BL you can find it at the General Section. As for the ROM port from Z1 to Z1C this thread might help you out on porting ROMs.
Good luck and congrats on the new phone

You can root, but no CM with locked BL.
Don't know about a port patch, but there are several guides for porting. Also, some devs, like Venkat Kamesh, have made ROMs with z1 and z1c versions, so he may have some insight.
Here's a JB link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654156
