Is there a stock 4.4.4 T-Mobile KitKat ROM that I can install on my phone? I'm currently rooted, have S-OFF and have a custom non-TMOUS 4.4.4 ROM but I'm having issues with data connectivity and I really just want to stick with stock.
Based on some of the threads here, it looks like I may need to run the stock 4.4.4 RUU. Does that mean I need to relock my bootloader to do this or can I run the RUU without doing this? Also, where would I find the RUU?

I've fully rooted my Desire with RUU. But I have a question now...
If I still can use RUU including higher firmware version to flash my device or not? If so if I need completely root my Desire again after using RUU?
Very appreciate any information you can give me
Thanks
An RUU is used to unroot your phone, and it's best to get the latest one to do this as otherwise it might not run
Thanks for your information.
So if I still want to keep my device fully rooted, how to upgrade to new firmware with offical ROM and where can I grab the offical ROM?
No, running an RUU will unroot you. If you're rooted you can't get official updates so you'd need to use a custom ROM based on the update
Thanks for your information
Why you want rooted phone if you don't want custom rom?
With custom rom you can get exelent performans and visualisation.
I use HD rom and it is exelent.
i bought a verizon htc one and am using it in the simple mobile prepaid network. its on android 4.2.2 with software number 1.10.605.10. since i dont have a verizon sim it wont update to the latest jellybean ota. my questions
1) how should i start off rooting and s off it
i was thinking rumrunner----> change the tampered to unlocked-----> flash recovery twrp-----> flash stock +su
2) in the end i want the stock android 4.4 with sense 5.5 rom, the unlocked version
so should i first flash verizon software 2.10.605.10 ------> update the firmware via fastboot-------> flash the stock 4.4 unlocked edition rom
3)if i flash the verizon 2.10.605.10 will i lose touch control when coming from 1.10.605.10? then how will i be able to get to fastboot to flash firmware? or should i flash the firmware first then the rom?
4) can i flash the android 4.4 sense 5.5 rom for unlocked htc one taken from http://htconeroot.com/htc-one-stock-roms/android-4-4-kitkat-sense-5-5-stock-rom-for-htc-one/ . will it work in my phone?. i am not using verizon sim.
5) if i need to return my phone for warranty and need to be back in stock 1.10.605.10. how should i go about it?
is it
change from unlocked to locked ----> flash the ruu as rom.zip ------> change to s-on.
if i follow that method where do i get the 1.10.605.10 rom is it from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=248531 ?/
also if i flash the 1.10.605.10 rom, how will i flash the firmware back, since the newest firmware wont work on the old rom?
please do give me a reply. i have been searching the forums for replies and its all confusing.
thanks a lot

Rumrunner - then flash recovery

Do not update to 2.10.605.10 before you root. After you root flash that firmware.zip by @santod040

Touch control? You should flash the firmware, then the ROM. Follow Santod's instructions about flashing firmware.
Not sure about what that ROM is, but you could try Eclipse 4.4 and use the LTE switcher to change to a GSM network.
5) if i need to return my phone for warranty and need to be back in stock 1.10.605.10. how should i go about it?
is it
Use the revert to S-On thread
change from unlocked to locked ----> flash the ruu as rom.zip ------> change to s-on.
if i follow that method where do i get the 1.10.605.10 rom is it from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=248531 ?/
Look for the RUU
also if i flash the 1.10.605.10 rom, how will i flash the firmware back, since the newest firmware wont work on the old rom?
When you RUU it will revert everything.
please do give me a reply. i have been searching the forums for replies and its all confusing.

also..you meant the ecliptic rom right?. i couldnt find a eclipse rom. i neeed a sense 5.5+ kitkat as close to stock rom as possible.
looking to move over to either asop or gpe from sense im s-on with latest firmware can i just flash as normal either of these rom types or will i need to adjust to a different firmware ?
You can flash the roms, but to actually covert to GPE, you'll need to be s-off.
You also need the latest firmware for most up to date roms. ?
The M8 will need to be updated to the new 5.0.1 firmware to use latest Sense ROMS,
for AOSP you can use any firmware 3.x and up.
On the GPE Firmware you will need S-OFF as the change in partitions are locked in
S-ON.

Huh... There is a GPE rom on the sprint forum. When I was s-on I flash the rom then flash the kernel in fastboot. I was on latest firmware but not sure if that had something to do
Yeah, there might be a ROM but the full conversion to GPe requires S-OFF
You can use the GPE Rom Easily, without S-OFF it's like any other AOSP ROM.
But if you want to fully convert it to a GPE Edition, you'll need S-OFF.
The problem with the GPE ROMs/Conversion is that
the HTC File Manager cannot load SD Card Tab (You can't modify anything in the SDCard without rooting it after wards).
And the HTC Camera no longer works on GPE , it used to work before without root.
I guess HTC Ruined the Non-Sense variants again.
Hello,
My m8 is currently on version 4.4.2 with the custom ROM Android Revolution HD 7.0 and I'm looking to update the ROM to the current version that is out now.
So my questions is: do i have to update my phone to lollipop and then install the custom ROM, or could I just skip that process and just install the ROM by itself without doing any extra steps? If I had to update to lollipop how would I go about doing that, I'm not sure if i get any OTA updates since my phone is a unlocked version. If someone could help me with my question, it would greatly appreciated.

You need to update to Lollipop firmware, otherwise you will run into some serious issues on a Lollipop Sense ROM (like current ARHD) including seriously long (10 min or more) boot times, broken WiFi, audio issues.
Looks like you have the Developer's Edition. So you can relock the bootloader and run the LP RUU to update the firmware. Then unlock again, install custom recovery and flash ARHD. RUU will wipe the phone, so backup any important data before RUU.
Alternately, if you are s-off, you can just flash the LP firmware manually.
OTA is an option. But it seems a bit convoluted since you need to return to stock ROM, stock recovery, take the OTA, then install custom recovery again, flash ARHD. Although it does save you the steps of having to relock the bootloader and unlocking it again for RUU.
Thankfully I finally was able to RUU back to stock... I know the At&t update is supposed to come at some point, but I am wondering if there is a lollipop rom that works with S-On or can I flash the GPE while still S-On?
Thanks in advance
You can flash any ROM, they just won't work properly without the Lollipop FW.
Why not S-OFF and convert the phone to the Developer Edition?

I been using GPE Lollipop on kitkat firmware for a while before HTC released Lollipop firmware. It worked all fine, just some problems with the wifi dropping out, if you come across that problem just turn your bluetooth on.

Actually most GPE and AOSP ROMs will work with 4.4.4 firmware, far as I am aware. OP should check the specific ROM thread (for the desired ROM or ROMs) to make sure, as its usually defined pretty clearly in the top few posts of each ROM thread.
But you are right, if the OP wants a Sense LP ROM, they will need to update to the corresponding firmware.
