Is there any way to disable annoying heads-up notification in G3?
Thanks
Sorry. I do not know how to do that also. Just want to ask a question. Why do you want to do that? I think it's one of the great features of Lollipop.
Do we have a Privacy option like Nexus devices, which allows you to hide the content of the Notification message? Particularly for WhatsApp & Emails.
With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!
Give it a try:
Download from Playstore

It's kinda annoying when you are using navigation and the heads up notification blocks the street you are supposed to turn on.

You can disable it for texts through the stock app. Does the headsoff app actually work with the hangouts app? Read some reviews and it doesn't work for everyone. Thanks.

This app doesn't work when enabled, I also purchased the pro version for $1.99 and it still doesn't work. Please respond to my email and provide a refund.

Hi does anyone know how to disable Heads Up notification? I found it annoying. I tryied disable it same way as on Samsung Galaxy S4 (SQL editor, settings.db....) but the database is "locked" so SQL editor cannot get access to it. I'm rooted and SQL editor has root privileges(thru superSU)
Only way I've done it in the past was with xposed or custom Rom. Subscribing in case something else comes up.

Probably one of the single most greatest apps for the single worst feature of Lollipop. Google really dropped the ball with their implementation of heads up notifications. It's so half-assed. This app was a godsend.
Question on your app: any reason why the standard method of restoring the ticker doesn't work with your app on the G4? I had to use the other method which, as I can see, is really just a floating black bar over the status bar (very clever, by the way).
Side note: If anyone actually likes heads up notifications, but really hates how terrible Google handled it, I suggest this app from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=codes.simen.l50notifications
Use it in conjunction with Jawomo's HeadsOff app so that you don't get double notifications. That Heads Up Notifications app gives you so much control over them ( you can swipe up to dismiss, swipe down to expand, blacklist or whitelist, etc).
hi!
how can disable notifications to from the tablet?
i know that theres the "blocking mode" option, but it'll mute only the basic apps, and not all the 3rd party apps.
is there a simple wayto disable them?
thank you!
Hi,
Is there any way to customize the notification LED for certain apps without using 3rd party software? There is a setting under 'LED notifications' -> Per app notification. But I don't think you can use it to make apps use certain colors.
Thanks!
nope - you'll need to use third party software like lightflow LED
