Hello, i havea rooted lg e980 on metro pcs running on jellybean 4.1.2 which ive been trying to upgrade for some time, only to get the phone not registered message, i put a friends att sim card, and it started to upgrade, but once it finished it restarted my phone and said phone is rooted, i am somewhat of a noob so i am not too familiar with some terms so anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

I have an unlocked Rogers Note 2. Recently came back from Vegas and I picked up a Ready Sim sim card to use for the weekend. Come back to Canada, insert my Rogers sim and now my wifi won't turn on anymore.
While I was in the US, I had used Will03 SlimKat ROM. I just recently downloaded this ROM to see if the problem would go away.

The problem still exists. Is it possible the Ready Sim APN is still hidden somewhere on the phone and it's messing with my phone? This is a first for me. I'm stumped as to what the problem is.

I have a Samsung S3 I747 device. It is running ANdriod Version 4.3, I747UCUEMJB.
I wanted to unlock this and was wondering if this is possible. I went through lot of threads on this forum, but that left me confused and could not figure out if it is possible or it is not possible, without calling AT&T or without buying the unlock code.
There were some threads which said that we can go back to 4.1.1 or something. (I have been able to unlock the other phone which is running 4.1.2 but for this I cannot go back).
I am a newbie with phones and andriods, and hence was looking for simple instructions if any available to lock this 4.3 andriod that I have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Once on 4.3 or later the free unlock method will not work. Only getting a code from the carrier or buying one online will.

Last two weeks has been really hard for me.
I tried updating my AT&T LG E980 to lollipop with the firmware F240L30c_00.kdz. That was really stupid.
I thought i could return by flashing again if something goes wrong but i am stuck in. and i need your help.
I tried flashing the Telcel E980H firmware and then the original att tot file. did not work.
The phone keeps looking for network and when i see the signals bars,i try calling but it says Emergency Calls Only.
My imei still present, wifi and everything works just cannot make calls.
Please help!
I'm not new to roms and rooting but recently I bought an LG G3 on ebay. The phone model says it was an unlocked d851. I know it's the T-Mobile variant and it even says it's D851 on the system settings. It is currently on kitkat 4.4.2. The point is, I want to flash the Lollipop kdz for the T-Mobile variant but whenever I power the phone on, I get the Viaero Wireless bootloader and the phone does not have any T-Mobile apps whatsoever. Any suggestions on what I can do in this situation? Any help would be highly appreciated

Hi all, I've been reading tons of threads and I am still having some difficulties with this phone. I am not in the US, I got this phone from a coworker that was going to throw it away and brought it with me to south america to give it to my friends mom who has no money, its and old phone but the one she has is even crappier ,I thought I would be able to just pop the SIM and get it going but nope.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, I have a few more days before I go back home and I would love to be able to leave this working for her.
Let me put you up to speed:
-Phone is running Android 4.3
-Phone was rooted using Odin, has SU and CWM
-Followed thread here to SIm unlock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023709 but #4 option is not present on 4.3
-I tried downgrading to 4.1.2 custom root666 to see if I could get #4 but to no avail since you cannot from this 4.3 version
-About to follow this thread :https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48012926&postcount=8
but not sure if correct for what I want to do.

The phone can only be unlocked used an unlock code. Try contacting T-Mobile for a free unlock code or buy a code from eBay.
i'm with the same problem. i bought an sgh-i747 and after two months it bricked, so i replace the logical card (i don't remember how to say it in English, lol.) and boom!!! now i have a t999 and it doesn't work with movistar. (i'm from Venezuela)
but well, i've been reading posts about unlocking the phone and every one of them only works in JB 4.1.x. i don't know if i could unlock it by the downgrade process and i'm scared of getting the phone bricked again.
