Fast, stabel and good battery life ROM - which to choose - HTC One X

Hey guys!
Sorry if it's been asked before but didn't find the answer. I'm looking for a fast and stable ROM with good battery life for my wife's HOX. Doesn't need to have loads of mods as far as it will be reliable and working ok. And I want it to be something AOSP or CM based, nothing Sense based. Can be combo of rom+kernel. Thanks for any suggestions!

Best custom rom for battery management

I was wondering which rom out of the many available - is best in terms of battery life?? I didn't really want to start a whole new thread .. but i am looking for those here who have flashed most of the custom desire roms on XDA, I need a rom that manages battery better then most.

I'm pretty sure that you are going to have lots of answers. Unfortunately, each one, talking about one rom or the other will tell you that its rom is better that others.
I'm running a ROM developped by a single developper (Itanium 1.8 today) and the battery life is pretty good. Undervolt mod is included, several optimizations have been made for battery usage, but again, I'm pretty sure Cyanogen and OpenDesire (these are examples, not the only ROMs working fine I guess) are good at saving baterry life...
So I would say it's hard to tell, and the best advice would be for you to test several of these and find the one which best suits your needs... You might end with a ROM which might give you less battery life, but which would looks better for you and for your usage (Sense based, without Sense...).
Hope this makes sense.

thanks for the info bro I hope others will also post a comment. Although, as you said - opinions will dither, it will still be good to get an overall opinion from many XDA desire users.

Just Rooted & Booted lol My DHD

Any recommendations for a ROM ? there are so many out there dunno where to start I need good batterylife and CM7 based ROMs are a big NO NO...
Thanks in advanced
arhd 6.1.5
hi m8, using arhd 6.1.5 with no probs, battery life is a big ask as depends on what you are running during the day ie bluetooth, gps, wifi etc, as battery life is different for each user.

Thanks guys I will have a look at screen shots of both ROM's although battery life is a big issue for me so is stability and customization.
Try Galnet MIUI stable. They have an awesome performance and a great battery life (currently running at 1-4 mA in idle.)
If you don't like the iphone-ish UI, try another launcher like Launcher Pro.
I do what i want, because I can.
MIUI is based on CM7, iv'e played with a friends DHD who has CM7 installed its just too bland and stock... Sense is way superior IMO and the Sense camera is 100x better than the CM7 offering + iv'e seen screens of MIUI (looks like iOS lol) Definatly dont want that. BUT Thanks anyway dude.
Virtuous affinity is a fantastic Rom mate I was using the unity series but the guys that worked on this have excelled themselves ! So smooth lots of features its great! I love my phone all over again

I know that this isn't a ROM recommendation but iff you want good battery life checkout the accessories section of the forum and look at the evo 3d/sensation battery MOD
ATM I try the new SmartDroid Rom and I'm absolute happy with it. Battery life is great and it's very smooth.

Another useless post.....i remember answering Q's like this many times before as well. Why pppl do not use search?? (i hope a mod steps in here anyway )
There is no such thing called a perfect ROM. What suits my necessities best does not mean that it lives up to your expectation. The battery n stuffs like this are related to how one uses his/her phone, not on the ROM itself (well a little, maybe).
That being said, try one by one yrself n find out one that suits you based.
Too many threads like this. Its down to personal preference and these threads can start into flaming wars/ trolling. Thread closed.

Best battery kernel for CM9 ?

I am back to CM9, trying out the official Weekly's, just had too many issues on the various CM10 ROM's to use as a daily for now. I appreciate all the tough work the dev's are doing on CM10 for the One X right now, and with their blood and sweat it will surely be bad ass, and perfect in time, but I need stability and battery life first, so CM9 it is for now. I know a Sense based ROM would give the best battery and stability, but YUCK, can't stand the look and feel Sense or any UI besides good ol vanilla Android
Which kernel would you recommend best for battery life on stock CM9 ? And what setting ? OnDemand or Interactive ?
Or is the stock kernel from the 0923 Weekly the best ?
Thank you

ROM Recomendation?

Installed CM10 on my One X yesterday thanks to a help from this forum
I'm still new at this stuff [was the first ROM I installed :3], and since CM10 fails to deliver what I was expecting, I gotta change
I can barely get any signal, It's battery life is horrible, but the most terrible thing is that just randomly shuts down sometimes :|
Can anyone recommend a ROM that is fast, got a better battery life, run on JB and are stable enough?
I like CM10's look, which is one of the reason I took it, so if that ROM could have a similiar look I'd like that, though I don't deny Sense ROMs...
Btw, If you don't mind, I'll need a little bit of guidance regarding how to switch ROMs if you don't mind...
Thanks a lot for the helpers
... Just test them all. They work fine.
try .. Ice cream jelly (ICJ) it works very good
It's got to be maXimus for me! a truly great Rom, I highly recommend it!

If you like the pure Android feeling, i strongly recommend Cyanogenmod 10, the seandersn Edition.
Running on my One X for some time now, good battery performance, fluid like butter and up to know i didnt experience any bugs :good:
Link: CyanogenMOD 10 "SE" v2.1
If you're after the Sensi UI, then go for Blade. Really good battery life and performance!

Now after you have a list of possibilities, just start to try by yourself. I will close this one before the usual trouble between fangroups begins .

Searching for AOSP ROM

Hi guys !
I have actually the SeXy v5 ROM on Lollipop with stock interface but i'd like to try an AOSP ROM because it seems to be more personalizable (animation etc)
Which ROM do you think is better ? I need a stable version without bug (no nightlies), i want something with a good battery life, very fast and reactive (i would love something like the new Iphone ..)
I'm on Android since 5 years (Galaxy S, One X and now G3) but with different ROM, i had never the same level of smoothness as Apple
Thanks
(sorry for my possible mistakes, english is not my native language)
Check out XenonHD. I'm running it now on my G3(d851) and its pretty snappy.

Thanks, i've seen the thread. But AICP seems to be good too with a lot of personalization (too much ?)
Actually, my stock SeXy v5 is pretty good but the problem with stock is the smoothness, AOSP is always better on this point in my opinion. Stock is good but AOSP is better
AICP, XenonHD or Pac-ROM. They're all based on AOSP (Used all of them, didnt noticed any bug)
So ... except the name and some little options, they are similar ? I think i'll install AICP
Well, not stable version available, only nightlies actually for AICP
I will try XenonHD this afternoon
AICP isn't that smooth in my experience. Try F-AOSP, it is unbelievably smooth (like Nexus 5) and the battery is a bit better than Stock for me (3.40h SoT). But keep in mind that this ROM isn't customizable like CM and only has the basics of AOSP, so yeah. But seriously though, this ROM is absolutely fluid.
