Where can I download the latest lollipop dialer apk?
Just download a stock lollipop ROM and pull the apk out of it.
I must ask, why do you need the LL dialer for your Nexus 7?
I was hoping it might help link my Contacts to my Skype calls to enable:
1. In my contacts list I will have the icon option for a Skype call.
2. In Skype I will be able to see the contact name not just the number.

i have a copy of the ICS phone and contacts apk's from here
BUT i'm not able install the apk's as the installer complains that there is a apk with the same name....
i've looked in /system/app and can;t see phone.apk or contacts.apk anywhere.
Can anyone please assist ?
Did you ever figure this out? I would like to keep my stock touchwiz rom with the multiwindow feature, but I would much prefer, the vanilla ics/jb phone and contacts app.

I just want to know if any devs or experienced modders here can mod the stock SMS app in 4.4 so it allows for the following features:
Able to send long texts without it converting to a MMS.
Emoji support.
I would like to update to 4.4 with either Cyanogenmod or another 4.4 ROM I'm currently running 4.3.1 and have a modded SMS that has the ability to do what is listed but isn't compatable past 4.3.1, this would be great if there was a modded version which is compatible with 4.4.x but without the lack of this one specific mod I will hold back.

Android 4.4 not available for stock ROM.
If you are using Stock 4.3 Rom then install xposed framwork & wanam exposed for Sending long text SMS. There are settings available. Please google for it.
For Emoji...Please flash attached zip file under recovery. Then open SMS app > New message > Click option button > Insert smiley
Please take nand backup under recovery before anything.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask but I could not think of anywhere else and I am trying to get the dialler for the LG G3 running CM12.1.
I have used CM11 and CM12 in the past and had a Gapps file that included the Google Dialler with its brilliant caller id included but I am yet to be able to find a gapps file that works with Android 5.1 and was wondering if there was actually one available at all?
I added the Google Dialler to the CM12.1 Gapps file and it installs it but then there is 2 phone icons and diallers, I can then disable the one but I am readying this phone for my mother in law and when updates happen she will not know what to do so would prefer it be a seamless transition.
If someone has a proper Gapps file that has the Google Dialler that would be awesome but failing that I would love to know how to make my own Gapps file properly with it removing the files it is installing, any pointers?

Turn your device into pixel, Here is a tweak you can change dialer just like pixel devices having at present. You can do it by yourself just easy.
* you dont need to flash any zip files from twrp or there is no display problem in the device.
Rules how to activate Dialer :
1) Initially disable the phone and contacts apps that runs in your device
2) Now install Phone dialer app from Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer&hl=en
and Contacts app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts&hl=en
3) Now Set it as default if you are in CM14.x ver or Android 7.x or else remaining versions once you disable the latest app will be set as default
Its directly released to store from google to experience new Ui
