Hey,
Got my GN today. I didn't know if it was charging or not, so I turned it on a few minutes after the battery icon disappeared.
Not long after I turned it on, the battery was showing as full, but surely this can't be right? Any ideas how long I should leave it until I unplug it? I hope I haven't messed up the battery stats by turning it on.
Well I decided to just pull it out and see how it goes.
Can a mod delete this thread please?
Same for me. Could not even tell if it was charging so turned on after half an hour and battery full - perhaps delivered like that. Not exactly sitting on the shelves of CPW.
Ive noticed this phone loves to turn on the display for any reason it can think of. That is not the bad part tho. The default lock screen can be swiped any where, and in my pocket this is bad. I did a test with my palm to simulate the my leg in my pocket. If the screen wakes up for any reason, SMS notification, easy to hit power button, Low battery notification (this one i don.t get) and you hold your palm on the screen and it detects it, it will hold the screen on indefinitely without unlocking it if it lands in the right place.
This is what i imagine going on in my pocket.

I have replied to texts, made phone calls, even turned the flash light on in my pocket and ran the battery down before lunch.
I use this "pattern security" so I'm not threatened by this "unwanted phone call making" and stuffs like that, but my battery life still seems to be poor. I noticed that if I leave the device on WiFi, then it drains about 30%/night (approx. 10 hours). But last night I tried turning off wifi and data--> only 2% of battery percentage went down during the same time (10 hours!!). !!
What do you think causes this strange battery draining through the internet(wifi or data?)? The syncing, or some specifig program, or just the fact that it's connected to the web? it's very strange.
edit: of course I checked the battery stats, but there everything seemed to be normal..

I really have no idea. I had this phone since release and it's always had mediocre battery life at best. This is my second Samsung android phone, The original Galaxy being the first and i wasn't to satisfied with that one either. I received a new phone yesterday (Experia TL) so the i927 has been sitting idle. Before i put it down i did a factory reset and pulled the sim. It lost 45% of the battery since yesterday morning. Any of my HTCs would last weeks in this state. So far the TL seems like it runs off magic pixie dust compared to the i927 lol.

My battery can go pretty quickly when I get the l2_hsic wakelock. Around 5%/hr while it idle (though I do leave wifi on). It appears randomly - some days not at all, some after a few hours of being on. The only solution I've found is to shut it off and pull the battery for a minute and hope it doesn't come back on the next boot. Searching didn't pull up much except its known on a few Samsung phones. Does BBS show anything under kernel wakelock for you?
I am using the extended Zero Lemon battery and shouldn't be complaining but I have been using it for two days, have downloaded 2 good size files on 4G, 4 smaller files too, rebooted 3 times and the battery is at 100% yet. I plugged it in for 2 seconds and it says battery is fully charged. I took the battery out and back in, fully charged.
Do I have the ultimate battery or a deeper problem with my phone where all of a sudden it will die while showing that it is full? Second screenshot was after I did the 2 second plug in.
It is something strange... You could first see battery status in the hidden menu, although I suppose it will say it is ok. You can try a battery calibration to see if it turns normal working...
Tried that. Saw a post on a different phone which suggested turning the phone off, plug it in for the night and see if it would recalibrate next day. Or I can let it run until it turns off and see how long the 100% stays there.
The greatest battery in the world in no longer. Did a reboot late last night and it didn't come back on. When I plugged it in, the phone was at 2%. Hopefully the battery will calibrate correctly now.
Well let's see if it works now
Running down nicely now..LOL
Well that didn't last long. Battery back to staying at 100%. Tried several calibration apps and same result. Time to try a different battery to see if it is the battery or the phone.
Definitely the battery. Spare battery in now and it went directly to 84%. Other battery will still be used, it holds a charge for close to two days but I can alternate them.
Are you on Kit kat or Lollipop?
lollipop now but when I restored it was to KK and I got the invalid battery, shutting down message.

Hi, after 3 happy years with my xperia s, here it is a major issue. Three weeks ago, in the middle of a phone call my xperia shuts down (battery at about 85%) and no mean to restart, it was like dead. No led if in charge or connected to my pc. After three days, a friend opened the phone, pull of the battery, reconnected the battery and, here it goes, it started again. But, another issue now, battery drains at 10% each hour in stand by. I changed the battery with a new one, same thing, i had a hard reset, same thing. Battery status shows 30% consumed by the screen (but it was only 15 min !) and google services 25%. Anybody has an ideea how to fix it ? Thanks for your answer.
Not sure what's going on but my moto 360 has twice this week gone from 40% battery to dead instantly. Is my battery going bad or is something else going on ? This is a replacement unit from probably Jan or so sine July first moto back cracked and I warranty replaced it.
I had the same issue now 3 days in a row - take the watch off the charger at 7am, go to check it at about 10, battery shows steady drain normally and says it should last until about 6am the next day. At noon, I look at it and the battery is down to about 30% left and the chart shows it taking a nose dive. Another 30 minutes and it's dead. What gives? This just started. Anyone know?
I am having the same issue. This happens especially happens when I do somehting processor intensive.
Decided to reset the watch, and during the setup process where it syncs my apps, I have to put it on the charger or it will turn itself off, even though it was fully charged.
