I am using the extended Zero Lemon battery and shouldn't be complaining but I have been using it for two days, have downloaded 2 good size files on 4G, 4 smaller files too, rebooted 3 times and the battery is at 100% yet. I plugged it in for 2 seconds and it says battery is fully charged. I took the battery out and back in, fully charged.
Do I have the ultimate battery or a deeper problem with my phone where all of a sudden it will die while showing that it is full? Second screenshot was after I did the 2 second plug in.
It is something strange... You could first see battery status in the hidden menu, although I suppose it will say it is ok. You can try a battery calibration to see if it turns normal working...
Tried that. Saw a post on a different phone which suggested turning the phone off, plug it in for the night and see if it would recalibrate next day. Or I can let it run until it turns off and see how long the 100% stays there.
The greatest battery in the world in no longer. Did a reboot late last night and it didn't come back on. When I plugged it in, the phone was at 2%. Hopefully the battery will calibrate correctly now.
Well let's see if it works now
Running down nicely now..LOL
Well that didn't last long. Battery back to staying at 100%. Tried several calibration apps and same result. Time to try a different battery to see if it is the battery or the phone.
Definitely the battery. Spare battery in now and it went directly to 84%. Other battery will still be used, it holds a charge for close to two days but I can alternate them.
Are you on Kit kat or Lollipop?
lollipop now but when I restored it was to KK and I got the invalid battery, shutting down message.

I was wondering how i would set up my phone. Reset batt stats, longer charge times or something on how to get the best out of the extended 3500 battery. Also any hints or advice?
i have the same one and i just cleared the stats after charging the battery till full.
Sorry bad post delete please. This message just this one lol.
How do I know its full. ? Just over charge it with it on or off?. That's what u wanted to know. And does the percentage become accurate after doing this?. As I understand right now it should only register at 1500 right until the batvstats are chnage and then registers as 3500. And should display % based on that

i let mine charge until the green light was on, then unplugged and waited for the light to go out and re plugged did that a couple times until light is orange and charged till it was green again. havent had any problems.(knock on wood)
Do you know how long it took for that process? im getting it green now and will do the rest tonight with it being off. I am hoping that it registers the full battery capacity.
I've had very good luck with a $7 Chinese 3500mah from Amazon. I reset my stats through my battery widget but not until weeks after I had the battery. I don't think I was rooted when I first bought it.
The first day I got it I installed it and it showed 66%. I ran it down to 0% which took a pretty long time. Supposedly that's important, several cycles of complete discharge.
I have this docking station that is absolutely worthless as a docking station, but pretty awesome as an external battery charger. I use that to charge it, and sometimes charge it while its in the phone with the stock wall charger. The phone recognizes the %'s pretty close. At first it would drop to 80ish% pretty fast and then be really long between 50-80. Now it seems pretty steady all the way through.
Hmm I never thought to run down a Li-Ion battery due to it not actually having a memory.. Well i got it fully charged and I will see how long it takes to run down.
So I am waiting on how things will go for it lol. Thanks for the help guys. If anyone else has anything else feel free to chip in.
Get the battery monitor widget int he market, go into the settings and make sure you set it for the maH that your battery is, and then try the guide in my signature.
I have had my extended battery for some time now. I don't have BMW and have no history out my battery on my phone. All I did was put the extended battery in, played with the phone like crazy, killed the battery all the way, kept the phone off and charged it until 1 hour after the LED turned green. No issues.

I'm in the middle of a record setting run right now. This is very unusual. Usually I get 16-24 hours. My battery and EVO seem to have a mind of their own. But when it works it works good. I still struggle with intermittent 'android system' battery problems.
So after some time I've been battling with my battery life through the day. Few months back it was great, Id easily get a day no problem! Then I found I had a wakelock issue and had that fixed.
I now suddenly have almost multiple things going on at once but first a small back story.
Went to bed one night and had it plugged into the wall. Went to bed at 60% and woke up and my phone was down to 6%. I thought, well the usb port is bad or the cable. Took it into the sprint store, they of course say "it looks like its charging just fine, the light is coming on" (the light was on during the night too).
They checked the battery and they said it was bad. Im wanting to take it to another store and have them check, because either: they didnt want to replace me with a new phone or replace the usb port if thats bad.
1) Bad battery- in a matter of 30minutes (during my lunch break at work) my battery dropped from 63% to 14%- only used 3g for facebook and sent 2 text messages. And my phone is undervolted and underclocked
2) Possible bad usb port- I plug my phone in all day at work, and 90% of the time the screen is off. The % of the battery doesnt increase, but maybe decreases slightly (I have data and everything turned off while at work because I get no data signal).
3) wakelock- so suddenly I'm getting a huge percentage of system usage of 54% in my battery stats. A few months back it was maybe 1%? I flashed the .img that sets the wimax, PRI, NV, etc to what fixed the issue back then. Im just confused how this has come back now when I havent even updated anything related only my rom (MIUI 1.8.26).
So I've ordered 2 2000mah batteries off ebay- I wasnt going to pay $40 from a battery story across from the sprint store (as they didnt have any stock, only extended batteries).
If anyone has had a similar experience, or would know what is the culprit would love to get feedback. Hopefully I can get this fixed soon. Maybe just a trial and error.
Something really strange just happened. I checked my phone just now and the battery is at 98% and just maybe 30minutes earlier it shut off because of low battery
What I explained before about using my phone on my lunch break was only 2 hours ago and showed 16%.
I always wipe my battery states when I update my ROM or install a new kernal.

Don't wipe battery stats if you don't have a full battery, it'll keep your battery from charging fully.
It may be the battery, but since you're getting new batteries you'll know then. If you didn't get an external charger, I'd suggest doing so. That way you can guarantee that your extended batteries get a full charge, and you can switch out a dead battery with a fully charged one if you keep having problems. The usb port on the Evo is crappy anyway, but if the light comes on and stays on & you can transfer data through the usb port then I doubt that's the problem.
It could be hardware failure, but wait until you get a new battery and have properly calibrated to come to that conclusion.
In the meantime download Battery Monitor Widget, that should show you your true battery capacity even if the system will not. You don't have to use the widget, you can just open the app. Once you see that your battery is fully charged, calibrate your battery properly. Wipe battery stats at 100%, let it drain until it shuts off, charge to 100% without breaks, and you should be good to go.
Good luck!

Thanks for that!
I just bought a battery from BB to hold me over (50$ for a 1750mah battery?! )
when it charges to 100%, should I go into recovery, or use battery calibrator (app)?
Ill install that battery monitor too
BMW has the feature to wipe stats. I also recomend to look at the reports and judge when the battery is full by looking at mV. 4200mV is full charge. Then wipe stats FIRST, then unplug and run down completely, then recharge fully with out unplugging.

Ya just noticed BMW had that feature. Forgot I had a menu button. LOL!
This battery I got at BB is a "1750mah".
You know what I realized what might be the issue? Back a few weeks ago, I bought an extended battery to use to take videos at a concert. At that point I wiped the battery stats at 100% of the 2500mah or so battery..
My phone just started to do this about a week ago.
I tried reflashing, wiping cache/data, factory reset- nothing.
Whenever I charge, it will either charge significantly slow, or say charging but the percentage just goes down as if it wasn't even charging in the first place.
So I powered off for the entire night, (8-9 hours) and it will say fully charged. And I keep it connected to the charger but when I take a look at the phone again about 15 min later it reads 83% battery and charging.
I was really annoyed so I just left my phone on the charger again while I took a power nap (1-2 Hours) and after that I take a look and now it reads 68%.
The other day I saw it was fully charged so I took it off the charger and went on with my day. After, not even about 8 hours, it was already 10%.
It's like it only charges normally when the phone is shut off. Do I just need to replace the battery? Or is it something with the phone that drains the battery so quickly? I've already ordered a replacement extended battery off of Amazon just in case.
Most likely your battery. Go into battery stats and see whats apps are having high usage. Or download Gsam.

Im pretty sure its the battery now, the stats are normal and it doesn't seem like one process is hogging all the cpu. Can't wait for my extended battery next week, i cant last a week more with this annoying battery issue. Any suggestions for now?

Hi all,
Last week I was using my Note and the battery totally discharged. I plugged it in, let it charge overnight but the following day, I turned it on, started to play a game, 10 minutes later, I closed the game and noticed my battery had drained to about 65%. The battery depleted really quickly and when it got to 1%, it stayed on for ages and then finally died. I turned it back on again immediately and it showed it still had about 60% left. Again, it drained all the way to 0% so I turned it back on and it then showed 17%. I let deplete again and then the thing was properly dead. I charged it up and tried using a couple of battery calibration apps but it keeps happening. As an experiment, I left it playing a video from 100% and the thing died 2:38 hrs later. This isn't right. I've also had my micro sd card wipe and had issues with that since the drain.
Any similar experiences or possible fixes?
Thanks guys

I had this problem before and the solution is......FORGET ABOUT IT!
just use ur note normally....the cycle of charging and draining gonna fix it but dont let the battery drop that low again....15% is ur minimum limit
Use this code to give u the correct reading of the battery too *#0228#
Anyway of getting that menu up without dialling it in? I have the P600 so can't make calls due to no dialer app

Hello everyone.
Past couple of weeks I have been having issues with my phone battery. No matter how much battery I have left when ever I play some game or edit photos my phone will all of sudden drop from 70%(or any given point) to 0% and switch off. At first I thought my battery was not calibrated so I drain to 0 and charge to 100 while it is off for couple of times but problem still occurs. Also when this happen my phone charge only upto 80% and stop charging until I unplug and plug back in order for it to charge100%.
Is there a way to fix it and how could I check if my battery is bad?

First, battery calibration is basically a placebo. It does nothing nowadays.
The whole thing about waiting a few days after installing a new rom or firmware so that the battery can "settle down" is real though, but is only because the new firmware will be doing a lot of background stuff and thus drain the battery more than usual.
Second, the only way to tell if your battery is bad is to try a new one. Unfortunately.
Based on your symptoms though, your battery is DEFINITELY bad. I'd recommend either sending the battery out for warranty, or buying a new one. Or both- you'll end up with 2 new batteries that you can swap out if you're a heavy user.
FYI Warning- apps that claim to scan and repair your battery are scams. There is no way to scan your battery. It isn't a harddrive.
Just thought I should warn you before you get desperate.

Been having similar issues with mine as well. My phone will show about 20% or more left in it, but then the phone ships down as if it was completely drained. When I plug it in, it will show the battery is dead. Also, like a little whole ago, it showed 25% left, but when I plugged it in, it went to 12%. It also continued to drop even while plugged in and showing it was charging. I did a battery pull, cleared the cache, then rebooted. It showed 18%, but only 23 minutes left to full charge. I did another battery pull, and it now shows 1 hour and 43 minutes left to full charge.
Like you, this has been going on for a few weeks now off & on.
I had problems a little while back (not as bad as these). Mine would die with the percent showing around 5-8% remaining. I took the battery out, held the power button for about 30 seconds, then continued normal use. I read somewhere that doing this somehow helps. I don't know if it's true or not, but now my phone doesn't die until it hits 0%, so something did change.
