So right now I'm running Resurrection remix v5.3.7 Lollipop.
My signal seems worse than before, and I found all the prior modems (10c, m &r) but those are from kitkat. My reception was pretty great when I was using 10m, but I wasnt on this ROM and not on lollipop. Also, I didn't have as many call issues, and SMS issues.
Will it work if I flash a modem from kitkat? Is there any way special you have to do it? I googled as much ad I could and got very vague info, I saw someone say just flash modem and that's its, but I'm not sure if they were on a lollipop ROM or not.
TL;DR
Can I flash kitkat modem (10c, m, & r) when I'm using Resurrection Remix v5.3.7 Lollipop, and if so is there any specific steps, or just flash it? Or have to clean install or any certain order etc...
Thanks

All the modems currently available for the tmobile g3 are from kitkat. There really isn't much of a choice. Either 10c, 10m, or 10r.

I know that...
I wasn't asking anything like that...
Read my question, asking if they are safe to use on a lollipop ROM such as resurrection remix, and how I go about flashing them.

Thanks.. I am actually using T-Mobile on AT&T.. I flashed my first rom(on my S4) on it this morning.. CM10.1.. lost LTE.. Kinda pissed lol.. Then I saw this thread.. so I am going to flash this and hope it have my LTE again
Thanks for posting this.
For any rom 4.2 flash an att kernel, your best bet with this rom is to flash your att modem (preferably with odin, flashing a modem with recovery can sometimes cause problems)

lol, just for fun, i flashed the old root zip.. won't boot after.. Guess we will wait for a 4.3 root.
What you could do is try other universal root methods, doubt most would work with knox intact... And you run the risk of bricking your device.

Always thought flashing different modems/radios from other variants were not a good idea.
The stock kernel that comes with the GE rom works on our TMo variants and aside from that I've had LTE working on GE as well.

I had to go back to a 4.2.2 GE.. This rom killed my battery..
I downloaded the deodexed version but am hesitant to flash. Has anyone flashed the deodexed version? Does it install with no issues using CWM, does it break root (I read in other forums this happened to people), does it play nicely with supersu? Are there really any differences from Android 4.2.2? I am just curious if anyone has any feedback on the rom. Thanks.
I have the t999L and I was jusy wondering is there a certain way to flash roms on this particular device? Do I need to reflash a kernael or modem, raido after a flash mosy roms on here is for the t999 plz help

You should just be able to flash t-999 ROMs, of course you'll have to do a full wipe before switching to different ROMs. No need to flash kernel or a modem when flashing another ROM. I would stay away from any modems or radios unless it is specifically for the t999L it could brick the phone.

You should be fine, if your going to flash a custom ROM such as cm, don't forget to download the Google apps. Boot into recovery and do a full wipe, flash ROM then flash Google apps then wipe cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

Ummm. Ok, can you go into detail??
Seriously though, this is what I created the thread for. This is the type of question you could just post there rather than starting another thread. And if there is something missing, or needs further explanation.....well, I kind of need people to let me know. What details exactly were you looking for? And just to show you, this is covered there, I am directly copying just a very small portion of what I have there. If something here is not detailed enough, please mention it in the thread. Thx!
Flashing ROM's To Your T999L
You CAN flash any of the ROM's which are built for the original T999. Pretty much any ROM you find in our Development Section should work on the T999L.
There are, however, just a few small things that you need to remain aware of.
TouchWiz ROM's
Touchwiz ROMs are those based on the Stock, Shipped firmware (The software that came on your device)
If the ROM you choose includes a kernel, everything should work and you have nothing else to worry about.
If it does NOT come with a kernel, you will most likely have to flash either the UVDMD5 kernel, or the UVAMB7 kernel + Modules. More information and both can be found in my Development thread.
Either kernel should work just fine. You are free to choose either one. If you run into issues with one, please share the information so everyone else can benefit, and also to confirm for you that it is a kernel problem.
CM / AOSP / AOKP
Some of these roms will not flash without editing the updater-script. As these roms progress, the devs should add the T999L making this more of a Non-Issue.
If you get a Status 7 error, you will most likely need to follow these steps to make it flashable.
Unzip the ROM.
Browse to and open the updater-script (use Notepad+++
At the top you will see the 'Asserts'
You have 2 options:
1. Remove all of the Assert lines.
2. Add another assert. If the current ones are using d2tmo, add d2ltetmo. If using UVDMD5, add UVAMB7.
Save and rezip the file. (delete the signatures if present)
Flash ROM.

I am making this thread so as to save all the troublesome steps in making a flashable ROM and risk of bricking due to mistakes. The ROM is made following the instructions from @somboons thread I have made this ROM by myself using G2 kdz extractor which is also available in a thread in xda. The Kernel and the Baseband is made by @savoca and our dear @Cloudyfa for that we must thank them and give credit to them for that fine work.

If we flash this, does it allow for OTA updates from LG (if/when there are some) or does this 'disqualify' the ROM? Just interested in seeing stock again some day, I get lots of different wants, side effect from the mass dosage of pain meds for severe chronic pain hah.

I have taken every OTA so far and they have all worked with out TWRP posted by Aou.
I haven't yet tried it on the latest firmware, OH6, but there is no reason it shouldn't work. Just Odin flash twrp after downloading a custom ROM to your internal memory and then immediately boot to twrp and you should be able to install any S6 ROM provided it is bundled with the unikernel or if you flash a kernel that supports the ROM and the G925T.
And as for Xposed you'll need to flash a deodexed ROM to get it working. There are several choices out there, Xtre Sto Lite is a popular one.
Hmm will try that..
Xtrestolite is a good rom, but you will not have VoLTE and WiFi calling,
There is one rom that is deodexed/debloated with VoLTE and WiFi calling. . RAPTURE is the name g920t
But dev left development. . And it's of8.
