-Time and Patience teaches everything, Everyone new at their first time experience, period.
Follow this simple steps and you're done.
-Update your recovery to Latest TWRP(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780164)
-Flash boot.img(from respected rom that you've flashed under Fastboot)
Now fastboot is require or i should say must go with S-ON devices. So bare in mind, whenever you flash new rom, you have to have flash boot.img from the rom that you've flashed under recovery, Which you'll find under .zip folder of that rom. And copy that boot.img file to whereever you've unzipped fastboot file which i've provided link below.
To flash boot.img under fastboot you've to use following command via Command Prompt from your pc.
-Reboot your device into Fastboot
HTML:
adb reboot bootloader
-Flashing boot.img
HTML:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you don't fastboot files on your device, you can download it from http://d-h.st/8BG Once done with downloading, extract .zip and put it somewhere on pc where you can easily access. And from that folder Hold Shift + Right Click > Choose Open Command Window here and type above mentioned command.
Reminding you again, flash boot.img for every rom you flash on your device. And most importantly only those which was made for Desire HD.
By the way, Welcome to XDA.

Try flashing cm 11. Those ROMs rock. And also with the old android version cobra has, you might not be able to install some (un)root apps from the play store.

Can you explain it why he can't use twrp 2.8.5.1?
He will get a status 7 error as that ROM requires an older recovery.

LOL, Link works perfectly fine. I just checked it. In order to download it you have click on Download now. On Blue button!!! Not the Orange one!
Once you manage to download that file unzip it either on desktop or whatever location you prefer. After done unzipping it. Open Custom_rom.zip[the one you want to flash] and drag boot.img onto that fastboot files. remaining else is the same as i mentioned above on post.
Also you've to flash boot.img for every single rom you flash on your device. Until you're S-ON. And method to it, remains same as i mentioned here.

No. Your device wasn't bricked. Bricked is when u cannot access boot loader at all. A bootloader is your boot up..like how a PC boots up.

Your device needs an image to boot up to. That's the function of the bootloader. U had to flash the boot image cuz ur s on. With s on, u cannot write directly to the boot loader. More like a safety issue. There are advantages of s on and some disadvantages. The cons is that u hafta do the boot in fastboot, the pros is its a lil more difficult to mess your boot loader with an incompatible ROM.

Like on all my post i've mentioned to you about your issue; more preciously exact issue.,which was flashing boot.img(Kernel) to boot your device. And also it considered as Soft Bricked.
About recommending some of roms than there are plenty of roms to play with... But if you want to try out my work than headover to MoKee thread from the link below.

I used HTC unlock beofre i went S off and mainly used ADB on my computer everytimeI flashed a new ROM, and believe me I think I was addicted. I had semi similiar issues, and had to use similiar routines to get it started up. Best afvice go S off. If I could do it anyone can.
first problem I see is that you have s-on,revalutionary worked to get s-off .it was to easy...give it a try
There's a fix!
You can boot into Recovery mode and then flash a backup. if you didn't do a backup then you can you to this very first thread in 'HTC Droid Incredible 2 General' and follow those directions. I've had this happen to me and I fixed it but it wasn't easy.
Yes s-off is a life changing experience. I'm so flash happy that I'm trying to get my friends to let me root there phones so I can flash them too.

I don't think you can run AAHK on an unlocked bootloader. You need to relock and rerun AAHK. So since you're unlocked S-ON instead of locked S-OFF, you need to fastboot flash a boot.img to get your phone to boot. Details in the PDF in post #7 of the Ace Think Tank thread linked in my signature.

ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.4.0 (I downloaded this from download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img)
Custom ROM
tripndroid_endeavoru-ota-eng.noeri_003.zip
I have successfully installed recovery and rom by flashing them and as mentioned above i was able to use it for a day.
Now, Im trying to replace tripNDroid ROM with other ROM ARHD but i cant seem to flash a new ROM.
I copied the new zip file to the device by mounting the USB storage but when I Install from ClockWorkMod, I cant find the file under my sdcard.
I tried deleting all the contents of my sdcard, and copy the new zip file but when i install again from clockwork, the new file is not there and the old files which i deleted returns back.
So i thought clockworkmod is not working anymore, so i tried to flash a new recovery twrp, but after flashing successfully as stated in the terminal after fastboot flash recovery twrprecovery.img and tried to access recovery. clockworkmod still installed and twrp is not.
I cant find any solution from googling that is why i posted it here. hope someone could help me recovery my htc one x. Thanks.
The tripndroid rom has been pulled due to possible bricking of the phone ! My guess it has to do something with that mate !
And did you erase cache

Trip's endeavor unleashed v003 had an issue regarding the kernel or boot.img that can brick your device, that's why the downloadable zip had been removed by the mods. I wonder if how did you manage to get the zip file which has already been removed?
Unfortunately, you need to send your device to your service provider mate, no one has ever recover from that apx mode.

You should send it for repair if its still under warranty. You can't do anything with it right now, even trip broke his device with it.he send it for repair, and his provider replace his motherboard for free!
Make sure you won't be able to go into the bootloader. Just read the last few pages in his thread on how to do it.

The tripndroid rom has been pulled due to possible bricking of the phone ! My guess it has to do something with that mate !
And did you erase cache

Yeah I did "fastboot erase cache", and additional info, when i try to do "fix permission" in clockworkmod my device reboots.
At the time the download links where up it was already bad, but there where no reports yet..... If you flashed the tripndroid from what stage on it doesn't matter. If you can't flash a custom recovery or get it to boot in anyway, the tripndroid bricked it
The solution is to get it repaired

but why did it work fine for one day before going tits-up? surely it would have bricked straight away if it was a bad rom/kernel
From what i heard is that it did not bork right away.....it was from going from trips rom to another one . That's why it was pulled later on ! And it was a possible brick....so some did have bad luck
Welcome to my world bro.

You have recovery option in bootloader, you can't enter there? If not, you must unlock bootloader and flash recovery, than flash custom rom
think but not working

well I see you are s-on, so it would be a worse situation. I think you may need to make a gold card in order to unbrick your phone.
Check the troubleshooting post above and find [2]. It tells you what you have to do

It says your relocked. Either unlock your bootloader again, or run a ruu (only available for s-off though :/) flash a custom recovery with:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then enter there, flash a ROM,
fastboot flash boot boot.img
My question is why are you relocked?

Do you have the right recovery? What recovery are you using? Once you find the recovery needed, extract the .zip and put the file named recovery.img into your platform-tools folder in the SDK kit. Shift right click in the platform tools folder and run the command while in fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Once that command is initiated and says successful. return back to your main hboot and go to recovery.

Sorry shift right click and click on open cmd prompt here. Type:
fastboot devices
If your phones SN shows up, continue. If not you need to install correct drivers. Do you have a SD card? A ROM that you would like?

Try this FAQ:
Reboot to HBOOT
select FASTBOOT to get to FASTBOOT USB mode
Make sure the device is in and you have fastboot on your machine
fastboot flash the recovery image
Immediately try to go into the recovery via the HBOOT menu
If no dice, reboot the system and make sure "fast boot" is unchecked in the power options. It might be unrelated, but still: do it.
Go back and try again, but after flashing recovery, reboot the bootloader and then immediately go to recovery.
If successful, reboot system then reboot back into HBOOT and then to recovery to confirm.
or try clear you cache via ADB

But your hboot is 1.03, so I honestly don't know will it work.
And by the way, opening a new thread is not gonna make anything faster.
If people are really checking the Q&A and helping with problems,
they will help no matter your problem is inside some threads or a new one.
I thought you had to be s-off to downgrade and ruu. Thats why I was telling him to install custom recovery, then ROM. Go s-off then downgrade with RUU. Do you want stock or a ROM?

Hi,
I've been a happy user of Mustaavalkosta CyanogenMod 11 custom room till the day when I had to flash that boot.img 'cause my DHD stopped booting. I looked for adb and HTC drivers, tried many but none worked. Then I read somewhere that you can use a PD98IMG.zip, insert the boot.img in it and flash it using 4EXT Recovery. Did that, now each time I try to flash a room, I get this message:
"set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-11-20141020-UNOFFICIAL-ace.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted"
Is there a way to recover my device?
Status 7 means incompatible recovery
Flash a recovery for cm 11 or kk ROMs.. Twrp 2.7.1 or cwm 6.0.4 work well

I've always been using the same 4EXT. Should I use another?
Um.. How have you flashed ROMs in the past? Sounds like your bootloader is locked.

That's your problem. That's why u can't write to devices partition. Download min adb and fast boot
