[How-To] Install Official I9505 Firmware on T-Mobile M919 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

**You must already have Root Access before you begin**
I regulary receive requests to assist in updating the T-Mobile M919 to the latest I9505 LTE Firmware. Below is a very easy process for doing it yourself:
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
Instructions:
1. Download the latest Official I9505 LTE Firmware from Sammobile.com.
2. Extract the System.img.ext4 and Cache.img.ext4, e.g. I9505_5.0.1_OB7_Official_Firmware, then place these images onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
3. Open the FlashFire app and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
4. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
5. Press "Flash firmware package" then locate and select System.img.ext4. FlashFire will scan the .img which may take several minutes to complete. Press "ok" once the scan is complete then press the checkmark to continue.
6. Press "Flash firmware package" again then locate and select Cache.img.ext4. FlashFire will then scan the .img. Press "ok" once the scan is complete then press the checkmark to continue.
7. Press “(+)” once again to bring up “Actions” and select “Wipe.” Under the “Options” menu select all partitions except “Internal storage” then press the checkmark to continue.
8. From the main menu Tap-hold-drag your "Actions" and place them in the following order:
- "Wipe"
- "Flash firmware package"(system.img.ext4)
- "Flash firmware package"(cache.img.ext4)
- "Process Cache" (Use default settings).
- "EverRoot" (Use default settings).
9. Last, press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash.
The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flashes. Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the Samsung splash screen for about 3 - 4 minutes before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Notes:
1. You must already have a compatible custom kernel installed. Recommended Kernel: Lolli-Test-TW-07.02.2015 (source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-orig-develop/tw-lollipop-kernel-v1-t3024631).
2. After flashing I9505 firmware your wifi password may be forgotten upon reboot. To resolve this issue use ES File Explorer with root access enabled to edit the following build.prop line: ro.securestorage.support=true to "false"
3. You may also continuously receive an annoying security message. You can disable this message by using TiBu to freeze or remove the SecurityLogAgent.apk. Thanks to @Nana Ayeh

Completely stock except for root and ausdim's kernel. Runs well on the M919 and can easily be a daily driver.

Nice! will be curious to see battery life reports on this.

After I'll restore the backup do I get OA7 modem and bootloader on my m919 device (like I odin it) ? Why mot just odin this Rom from the Leak thread ?

No the leak's modem will not flash on the m919. You can go flash the leak if you prefer.

No, it won't. You can flash the AP file only and get a mostly working ROM except for wifi.

Thanks guys!! DL as we speak. Looks promising!!

I used 2.8.4.0
The rom is flawless other than the Wi-Fi PW mess up, which by the time I backed up and restored he already fixed. I have to have Wi-Fi calling but I set it up to my liking and the next time I leave I out on business I'm going to restore it. Also there was some security issue that kept wanting me to restart which I'm sure I could have figured out had I played on it a little longer and had service. Awesome job!

I am downloading the ROM. I am halfway through. I will post my comments! Thanks a lot. I have really been hungry to taste TW Lollipop on SGS4.
EDIT:
The ROM is now my daily driver. Thank you all for the hardwork. I found a fix for the security notice bug. I installed titanium backup and with root privileges uninstalled security agent log and that was all. There was no annoying security alert afterwards.
Camera works fine except dual shot.
The 's finder in the notification drawer is awesome. Mobile data, hotspot, wifi, great battery life. I will update you if I find anything else. I will be more than glad if we get the leaked update in a flashable zip format to make things much easier.

I will upload a new version of the backup with SecurityAgentLog removed. Good find, thx.
As for a flashable zip, I prefer backups as they retain samsung factory permissions and selinux contexts better than an updater script. A good updater script can get close but a backup is a mirror image of the Odin flash.

I can't wait to have that update the SecurityAgentLog removed. I have subscribed to this thread so I will receive an alert once you update it. I have still not had any issues after using it for almost 24 hours. So stable. It's indeed a daily driver. Thank you for your commitment to developing our S4.
EDIT:
I did not see the changelog earlier. Thanks for removing the security violation message.

Sorry for my question...but, am new with kernels, FW, etc on Samsung devices.... I got S4 Tmo...NH7, no root, wifi doesnt work...to flash this Leak Backup first I need to flash Leak Firmware, root (Chanfire o TWRP in Odin), then into recovery restore this backup or with NH7 rootting my devices can I restore the backup? can't install a downloaded OTA update

Sorry for making this topic but I have a problem that make me really sad.
The problem is,
when I go to about device/update, there is an update (45mb or something) available. I can download it with no problems.
I can install it and the phone reboots. But now the problem occurs. He is installing the update but when it reach 25% it stops, an Android with a red cross appear and the phone go to the login screen (pin code). When I'm back on my home screen a pop up displays a text that I must try with KIES or go to a Samsung centre.
But I can't use KIES because it says that my device firmware isn't compatible.
I have rooted my Galaxy Note II N7100 in the past with the FRAMAROOT one click root app and has do the following (mod) things:
- Xpose multi window mod
- installed the Nexus camera with photosphere function. (no flash)(just placed the apk and the lib in the folders manually
- Lucky patcher
- place some galaxy s4 apk like storyalbum but never overwrite existing things in system/apps
- I have downloaded freedom but I have deleted it forced stopped it and deleted data
I have unistall the xpose mod with in app options + total clean up.
I chose the Unroot option in framework.
I never installed or flashed my phone in the past. So I have the stock rom
I'm very scared of flashing my device (with PC Software) because I really won't lose any of my data.
I just want to install that update without losing data. It make me feel very sad.
I CAN download the update but if I install it, it stops at 25%
please help.

Remove all system apps that weren't there by stock. Also replace overwritten ones (if any) with factory versions. Remove Nexus camera from system apps too. Xposed shouldn't affect anything. I have no idea what Lucky Patcher or Freedom is, so can't tell if it's them.
Thanks for your reply!
Must I also delete the lib files. for example when I installed S translate I must also copy some data to the lib folder to get it works properly.
If so I have a little problem because I won't remember with file is added and wich one is stock.
And I dit also the music mod (make phone loader)
I hope this will 100% work.
Thanks

@wada7o:
It this a save method?
I have heard that you must wipe data and I want to keep all my data.
And I have heard stories about broken boot loops. Sounds very bad.
And after all this, is there a way to get rid of all that odin and root stuff so I can receive new OTA updates in the future?

It's perfectly safe to flash firmware with Mobile Odin, done it multiple times. No need to wipe as long as you're going from stock rom to stock rom. Never had a bootloop myself!
And as for getting rid of root stuff, that'd include wiping your phone, sadly.
As said its 100% safe method no wipe required as long as keeping counter 0 and system normal using triangle away you will get ota update

okay, thanks to wada7o my update is finally installed, thanks
But now I have another annoying problem.
When I go to about device / update , I got an error with the text 'unable to update firmware due network or server error. Try again later or use KIES'
No I can't download the great jellybean 4.2 in the future.
How to fix this. The future jellybean update is very important for me.
And does the mobile odin thing works with this future update (Android 4.1.2 to Android 4.2.2)?

Isn't it easier just to flash new ROM with Odin?
If your device has been rooted, you can't update it via OTA or KIES. You can look for Dr.Ketan post. He got the newest updates for GNote 2.

How I Installed An Edge ROM and Tricked My Phone Out

I have been asked by several people, on the forums and via PM. I thought that I would offer a step-by-step guide.
Will This Trip Knox? Yes, it will. Installing a custom recovery such as TWRP will definitely trip Knox. From what I have read installing a ROM, even through FlashFire, will trip Knox, as will flashing a kernel.
You Don't Seem To Care About Knox That is correct. To this point the only downside is that I won't be able to use Samsung Pay and I don't plan on that anyway. BUT.....if you do care and Knox matters, stop reading now and stick with stock.
I will also recommend that you grab ODIN and a stock TAR file for your phone. You can always find the latest firmware at SamMobile, but will need to create an account and free downloads are speed capped. It will be SLOOOOW. But you will get a zip with the file that you need inside. Good to have in case of accident. Here is where I got mine: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/47474/G920PVPU1AOE2_G920PSPT1AOE2_SPR/
That said.....assume that you have a rooted S6. Install TWRP Manager from the Play store, ignore anything it says about an SD card and click on "Install TWRP." The version that you are looking for is "zerofltespr.img." You can also download that from here https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys6sprint.html and use Flashfire to install. Reboot into recovery (see http://www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s6-recovery-mode/ for an explanation) and make sure that TWRP is installed. If TWRP doesn't come up, make sure that you used the correct file and try again.) Now you are ready to begin.
1) The ROM that I used is the SAC23 ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ment/sac23ram9200srintdeoxedmoddedv1-t3107342 Download that and copy to your phone. You should also grab the "Recent apps fix long press on home" zip file from the bottom of that post.
2) You will also NEED (!!!!!) a kernel that is designed for the S6, otherwise you will bork your phone. I use (and recommend) the Ktoonsez kernel located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...elopment/kernel-kt-sgs6-ocv-ktweaker-t3093009 Grab that and copy to your phone.
3) For fingerprint recognition and private mode, you will need the Aroma installer from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112854&postcount=2 If you use the Aroma installer (and I don't so I have no experience) be sure that those are the only two things that you install.
UPDATE 7/1/2015 Just had a report that fingerprint is working with this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/development/kernel-kernel-t3146127
Anyone interested should read all posts for that kernel before flashing.
Once you have those files on your phone, you are ready to begin.
Return to recovery mode. Before you do anything else....Click on "Backup." Accept the default settings and let it do its thing. I always name my backups....calling this Stock is probably a good idea. Once that is done, if you break things, you can return to this.
Okay, now go to Wipe. The old-timers will disagree, but most of the time the default "Factory Reset" is all that you need. If you are paranoid (and who isn't?) after this you can go to Advanced and choose Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data and System. But I rarely do this anymore. Complete guide for using TWRP is here: http://www.androidtipsandhacks.com/root/twrp-the-complete-guide-to-using-recovery-on-android/
Now go back to the main screen and select Install. You can select multiple zips. Flash the ROM, the kernel and that Recent Apps zip file. Be sure to set the kernel to flash after the ROM. Or you can flash them one at a time.
Once done, reboot phone and if all went well, you will see a new boot animation. First boot will take a while, let her go.
You should have a clean build so remember that you will need to reset Developers options, security (for allow Unknown sources) and other stuff.
With the Ktoonsez kernel, you will have the KTweaker app, very useful. If it doesn't install for you (and it didn't for me) the APK is located inside the zip file that you downloaded at S6\KT-SGS6-LP5.0-TW-G920P-05.28.2015.zip\system\app\ Extract that and install. I use downloaded Profiles a lot.
If all is well, but the fingerprint and private mode settings are things that you use, go back into Recovery and select ONLY those two items. I'll state again, I don't use them, have never flashed the Aroma installer and can't offer any help. I have seen that they work for some people, not for others..../me shrugs. I can't help with that.
I also use the Wicked One Theme from @dazedandconfused who is a master. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ps/theme-wicked-one-theme-s6-s6-edge-t3129822 for the theme and instructions. Be sure to follow the instructions about having the Urban theme from the Theme Store installed first. But this theme makes me very happy.
That is everything that I know....which goes to show how little I know!
EDIT: Missed a step....DOH!.... if you are using TWRP you should flash the zip file found here to address the Deep Sleep issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60385577&postcount=56
Happy ROM-ing.

I have to say that it is really popular mod, but not to my taste either. Here is what I run for battery:
GSam Battery Monitor (also lets you customize the battery icon, but I don't)
Greenify and Wakelock Detector
With Ktoonsez, I have the Ktweaker installed. Click on the 3 dots upper left. Scroll down to KTweaker Shop Profiles and then pick from Conservative, Balanced or Performance (or grab some of each.) I am using the Conservative Profile "Dead By April." I love that name!
Average Per Complete Charge (now this is with light usage) 2 days 0 hours, with screen on 1 hour 41 minutes.
Not expecting to get the same battery life when I am traveling or with heavy usage, but that is still pretty remarkable.

Hello, thank you for this great write-up! I PM'ed you the other day, and you helped me get my phone flashed and all.
However, I am still having issues with the Fingerprint scanner. If any other users do use the Fingerprint scanner, could you explain the steps in which you flashed each file? After using the Aroma installer to fix Fingerprint, I keep getting "Unfortunately, Fingerprint has stopped working." I just can't seem to get it working even with the Aroma installer. Maybe I am flashing files in the wrong order?
Thanks for any advice!

I have tried both. I first wiped system, data, cache, dalvik and tried that. Then, I tried dirty flash from stock, flashing the ROM, kernel, and fingerprint fix, then wiped caches, and nothing. :/
Could you start the aroma installer, and on the first slide it tells you the version. Could you tell me which version you have? Maybe we have different versions, that could be the problem.. Thank you!
Edit: I also tried the other debloated ROM you mentioned, but it did not work with nor without the Aroma installer. If anybody wants to work with me to get this working, I can provide logs and information and test out whatever is needed. Thanks!
Thank you for this write up...glad to learn there is dev'ing going on for the edge.
Was hoping you could help; tried flashing twrp via odin, per instructions--root manager shows that I have TWRP 2.x.x. installed but when I try to boot into recovery I just get this crazy bright white screen. Was able to reboot normally the first time, but then tried booting into recovery with flashify and now stock on that bright white screen. I do have success with getting connections with odin, twrp flashing successfully. But now trying to flash back to stock firmware to get my recovery back and I have mixed results. PLEASE any help would be very much appreciated...might have borked my brand new s6 edge...but hope not.
Thanks in advance.

I have the SM-G920P Sprint variant I downloaded all necessary zip files even the "deep sleep"zip, backed up my stock rom, wiped and installed well at least I tried. Loaded the SAC23 ROM zip, swiped to flash but the screen just went black and I found myself back at TWRP recovery screen. Tried repeatedly and to no avail. Wondering what I missed if anything.

First off. please edit your post to not include the entire Original Post. It is both bad form and makes it difficult to find your question.
The first thing that I would do if I were you is to make sure that I had a good download of the SAC23 ROM. That is most likely where your problem is. I will check my download later and post the MD5, but you should re-download.
I checked MD5 using WinMD5 Free (shouldn't matter, there are several MD5 checkers)and the MD5 should be 3bb8163e902769f564a2f3adb3a1b7e6. Try checking that.

Thanks!

Came here to say I had the same problem. The original ROM posted here was a Deodexed ROM, and the aroma tool posted was an odex version. There's an aroma installer for Deodexed Roms that works perfectly fine, just gotta use that. I'd post the link but I've been up all night and I have work in an hour lol. Have fun, the ROM is pretty nice!
@koop1955 @scott_0 have yuo guys flashed SacsROM v3?! It seems effin' amazing!! I'm verrryyy tempted to try it lol.

Chainfire autoroot working, Stock, no custom kernel and no crash to lock screen

Just an informative message in case people were having same issues I was, reading the posts, I see many are.
The amazing @Chainfire has a working beta method which allows me a simple, fully stock rooted OL1, with deep sleep fixed, and a small tweak to get Titanium Backup (TiBu) working on my sprint galaxy s6 (SM-G920P).
Note that chainfire's site (http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/) as of 1/16/16 had a autoroot version for the G920P that installed the 2.65 NOT the 2.66 (or 2.67) (beta deep sleep fixed versions) of SuperUser SU, so you'll have to TWRP install the 2.66 or 2.67 to get the deep sleep fix
Here's the brief GUIDE how I did it:
1. Download OL1 here's the sammobile link http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62965/G920PVPU3BOL1_G920PSPT3BOL1_BST/
2. Download ODIN 3.10.6 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711451
3. Download CFautoroot for the Sprint Galaxy s6, and consider donating to @Chainfire https://download.chainfire.eu/785/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-zerofltespr-zerofltespr-smg920p.zip
4. ODIN flash first the Stock OL1 and then the CFautoroot
5. Download and flash THIS TWRP https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/twrp-2.8.7.0-zerofltespr.img.tar.html or select appropriate one from https://dl.twrp.me/zerofltespr/ *(note that 3.0.0-0 is now available, but I haven't tried it yet, 2.8.7.0 still working well)
6. DEEP SLEEP FIX Download SU 2.67 Beta https://download.chainfire.eu/897/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip
*** Note- this beta version of SU works PERFECTLY on my 920P phone, and fixed the deep sleep issue
7. Move the SU 2.67 Beta to your phone's hard drive. Put it somewhere you can find it easily.
8. Boot into TWRP recovery (power, home key and volume up). Click "Install" and select the 2.67 SU Beta zip folder you just downloaded.
OPTIONAL:
9. Fix TiBu: Easy fix- uncheck in SU the "mount namespace separation"
Done.
Finally- pure stock rooted, nearly no crashes, everything seems to work. :good:
UPDATE 2.20.16: Both Beta versions 2.66 and 2.67 SuperSu DID in fact eventually crash, but only after 10 days did i get my first, and after 5 weeks, it has only occurred with Dolphin Browser, and only rarely- so might be a setting related to that app. Still way better and more stable than unikernel method.
that's awesome!

I couldn't find a pure stock with a pure stock kernel way to root. Rooting using the UniKernel method kept me with a very buggy system that repeatedly crashed, no matter what I did to manipulate it.
Once chainfire autoroot became available for the s6, that was great- but it had the deep sleep issue (and also messed with a TiBu setting). His 2.66 update fixed the deep sleep issue, and a simple settings change fixed the TiBu issue.
googling for these answers wasted a lot of my time, and reading posts- I saw that others were struggling with this too-- especially since they weren't sure his methods would work on the sprint version of the s6.
So I just thought I'd save people some time, confirm that the methods work great on the 920P, and give them links to how to do it
I just tried this procedure.
Everything goes ok, but TWRP will not accept input. If I touch the screen nothing happens. After a bit, the screen will lock (and swiping with my finger wont work) and the only alternative is to reset using pwr-home-voldn. I tried TWRP 2.8.7.1 and 2.8.7.2 and both do it. TWRP 2.8.7.0 works ok, but the first time I tried, it put the phone into a boot loop where the animation would start, and then reboot.....
I was running OL1 stock (got the phone two days ago).
Still investigating... Reloading stock ROM.
At least 2.8.7.0 allowed me to input into TWRP. Was able to flash SuperSU. Did not get stuck on boot animation this time.

Hmm, interesting.
I used twrp-2.8.7.1-zerofltespr.img and that worked just fine.
I only had an issue when I (briefly, mistakenly) tried to use the TWRP from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-android-6-0-marshmallow-beta-how-t3277533/post64613464#post64613464
When I flashed that incorrect TWRP, I got stuck in the same manner you did-- but twrp-2.8.7.1-zerofltespr.img worked fine.
Of note- I fixed the link above to go to the https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/ and https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/twrp-2.8.7.0-zerofltespr.img.tar.html pages.
Somehow though it seems I have a copy of the sprint version of 2.8.7.1, I can only see the 2.8.7.0 listed on the TWRP sites. I am sure that also should work fine
good luck
**Correction: the newest TWRP is 2.8.7.0 for the G920P
It may well just be something I did. Like I said, brand new phone....
I used ODIN, and I got the downloads from the TWRP site (dl.twrp.me)...
Regardless, I got 2.8.7.0 to work and I have root. Not really sure what the differences are.
Just kind of putting it out there for others....

yes- essentially- but because the supersu 2.66 beta is in a zip file (with multiple files for the multiple system architectures in it), you can't (i don't believe) flash through ODIN.
You must download the zip directly onto your phone hard drive (somewhere easy to find), or download on your laptop and transfer to your phone (again, putting somewhere easy to find), then boot into recovery, and install via TWRP. It should replace the supersu file, and automatically fix any deep sleep issue, if you haven't already fixed that previously

but, could you confirm for me that: can you uninstall a system app by titanium backup?

i have to use root explorer to delete the app manually.

Hi- Glad the titanium backup trick worked for you- it frustrated me a bit until i found that answer.
Yes- I can confirm that both uninstalling and/or freezing system apps work in TiBu, and they do not re-install. When I uninstall a system app with TiBu, it does stay uninstalled after reboot.
Maybe it is a security issue? I use an english translation of LBE security, but have also used X-privacy, and both those (along with some other programs) block unwanted installations.

how weird over here...
i can freeze apps, but cannot uninstall apps by titanium. it was possible when i root my phone using unikernel v8.
one feedback from here: the battery life is somehow worse than using unikernel v8. yesterday i just had about 3h15' on screen from 100% to 1% battery, compared to about 4h30-5h onscreen with unikernel v8. the usage is normal like everyday of mine.
however im just using this method for 1 day so i will give it some more days to see if there is any improvement...

hmmm- bizarre.
Not sure exactly what is going on with your system. As for the battery- mine has been working great (by s6 standards)- way better than unikernel v9, and at least as good as unikernel v8.
Are you sure it is deep sleeping? Positive it is running SuperSU v2.66? (could check on the settings page) Also, though I'm sure you'd know if it weren't deep sleeping, you could try running the "CPU Deep Sleep Info Widget" to double check. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.cmweb.deepsleep&hl=en
As for mine- I'm over a week into this method, haven't crashed a single time to lock screen, battery is working great (for a s6), and all apps seem to work smoothly- without all the bugs I was experiencing with unikernel.
Hope your phone gets sorted out soon too
yeah, im sure that all the setting on my phone are the same between unikernel v8 and this method. i use SU v2.66 too.
i havent got any crash on v8 either, so basically i just compare v8 and this method in battery life.
i dont use v9 since it's reported to have lockscreen issue.
but well, i'll being using this method at least till weekend to see. i'll just be able to re-flash the rom if necessary at that time anyway.
thank you.
I have been away from the forums for a few weeks, i was curious if this or any method allows for rooting but retaining knox status? I am rooted (with the old pingpong method) but stayed on OE2 (5.0.2) to keep knox intact. I would love to get updated to the latest OS rooted but keep knox intact still.. not sure if its possible, so i check with yall..

[ROM] LS980 ZVI stock 5.0.2 flashable

This was tough to get as LG locked down all known exploits with the ZVI release. It took some hardware hacking to pull a clean unmodified system and kernel. Here is a flashable zip:
http://jacobstoner.com/LS980ZVI.zip
This includes a bootstack with an older bootloader and TWRP 2.8.7.3. The ZVI kernel has been bumped to work with the older bootloader. Otherwise this is completely unmodified and unrooted so if you want root then flash SuperSU after flashing this.
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Thanks for sharing, i am on cyanogenmod 11, can i install it with hybrid bootstack and blestagator's bumped twrp?
It will replace your bootstack and update twrp, but it will work fine.
Thanks, man! I wait for it so long! Because I'm still on ZVG because ZVI was unrootable. So all what I need is just clean flash room in recovery and install supersu app? Without any unlockers? Downloading now, making backups and give a try!

Yes, just flash in recovery and flash the supersu zip from the link above. You can dirty flash over ZVG, it will overwrite the whole system partition anyway.
Confirmed! If works! Just made clean installation 20 minutes ago & flash supersu.zip through recovery. Superuser works fine. So now I've try restore zvg & flash over it. Because I use lots of exposed modules & dorimanx kernel, titanium backup, lucky patcher, freedom etc. For this sw root is critical... Thanks a lot for latest ZVI + root! Later I link to your thread for peoples from russian 4PDA LG G2 thread. Lots of people will be happy!
ROM working well for me too. Thanks!
Not ever try to flash on installed rom! You'll receive a lots of lags after! Make app backup & flash "clean" install through recovery. I found also 1 issue in recovery: then screen goes off after you turn it on you see only blue-grey-black-white stripes with tiny squares. It happens not always but sometimes.
P.S. Previously I also used bumped 2.8.7.3 TWRP and has no problems. Also I use xposed, so when I flash ZVI on ZVG & restore apps backup has lots of lags like force close systemUI, deleted unworking software etc. So - clean install! After that - restore backup, but only user apps, not system like xposed apps, home g4 launcher, dialer etc.!

that's wonderful, @jacob019, thanks for sharing this highly waited zip of the ZVI, as far as i am on cloudy G2 3.3 with my LS980 for a long time and have not experienced the stock firmware after ZVG.
I have two questions in my mind if you could please clear them.
1. Is there any problem in the ZVI like most of the LG updates have not been without bugs or lagging ?
2. Can i flash this zip directly from my already installed TWRP without going back to stock ZVG or ZVE? (I have Cloudy G2 3.3 installed with blastgator's boot stack/baseband) {Cloudy G2 v3.3 is indeed a perfect ROM for my LS980 till now}
Thanks again for the great job you have done

Thanks @jacob019 for your time and again for your great job.
I will try it as soon as the download of the zip file will be completed.
And i also must try the SIM unlock as you mentioned above because i live out of US and am using GSM network not CDMA, so i think to do that i need some preparations.
I hope there are thousands in this line to need ZVI and the SIM unlock. Hail Jacob.
What is the flashing procedure by the way? is it same as we flash custom ROM (wipe system, devlock, cache and data) or just wipe dev lock and cache and flash the zip file
Just reboot to tarp recovery, choose wipe - advanced - check all except "sdcard" - wipe and just flash zip. Also better to flash supersuper.zip if you need root. Reboot - profit!
For me it works flawlessly, slight more battery drain, but solved by dorimanx kernel, xposed & greenify app. I didn't see the even mentioned lags in this Rom. Working for me the same as ZVG & also rootable!

@astherion, Thanks for the SIM Unlock files, by the way rooted is OK but but what is "after correct installation" is it what the software in PC does with the mobile or something else? And developer options have to enabled or otherwise?
Edited: Thank you very much guys specially @jacob019 and @astherion, you guys rock the party. The stock Lollipop is flashed perfectly and SIM Unlock was the most simple step i have every seen in the LG world, But astherion you should have mentioned the USB debugging option as it needs to be enabled before running the simunlock.exe from the PC, and an other thing i can see Hands free activation disturbs after every reboot (i have just rebooted twice and it cameup both times) and battery level also going very fast don't know why but, this can be a major issue which may force some people like me to go back to Cloudy. My battery was at 75% and 4 hours 12 minutes remaining and after i rebooted to recovery and wiped devlock cache and data, still battery says 69 % 3 hours 3 minutes remaining. This is dangerous, the battery graph is showing like a forward slash is on the graph panel, I will attach pics.
Indeed this all made me a fan of you guys,
So I am on ZVH, rooted with TWRP installed. Can I just flash the zip files?
When doing a clean install, are you just totting back to an earlier release(ZVE or G), rooting and installing TWRP and then this zip files?

Yes, you can just flash the zip file; should be no need to wipe data if you're coming from ZVG. Also there is no need to tot back to an earlier release unless you are already on ZVI because wiping data and installing this zip will produce just as clean of an install.
@talvigi, battery is okay for me; but I'm used to stock. I'm not sure about disabling activation because I'm using it on Sprint. I'm sure you can find info on how to improve both of those issues, but there isn't anything to be done here since this is an unmodified stock rom.

I'll try to post a universal gsm fix script that'll modify any CDMA rom to work with gsm! Thanks!
DeBloated, DeOdexed N910PVPS4DQC1Now with Rom Control! GSM ROM! (See Post 2)
First Off About Me:
First off, Let me state, I'm a full-time construction worker and also a full-time Dad. I'm not a Dev, like the peeps I learned from. So don't expect this Rom to get massive updates or often updates. I no longer have a N910P, so this might be it for me!
About ROM
Warning: This ROM is ONLY for the Sprint SM-N910P!!! DO NOT FLASH THIS ROM ON ANY OTHER MODEL!!! If you do then you are on your own! Know what you are doing before flashing and modifying your phone!!! You have been Warned!! I am not responsible for your phone breaking or blowing up!!
This Rom is a debloated, deodexed, slightly modded Stock Rom! It is pre-rooted! And I removed a handful of non essential apps. Plus I added a handful of mods!
I really wanted to add some more useful apps and a custom aroma installer but just wanted to get this out for the people asking for it. Hope you like the debloat and included mods.

ADD-ON Features!
Rom Control by @ROBERT CM !
Flashing instructions:
Before you flash this rom you should be on the N910PVPS4DQC1 firmware. Specifically the bootloader and modem. (Uploading Now)
Heres QC1 firmware for anyone needing!
Full ROM - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862726726
Firmware / Modem - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72341335&postcount=16
***Before you flash this rom, please make sure your battery has at least 30% charge***
OK... Lets begin!
1. Download the rom and all the other mods you want!
2. Check the MD5!!! Use a MD5 checksum tool on your pc or phone (Google is your friend)
3. Copy the downloaded files to your phone's internal storage or micro-sd card
4. Backup anything you need to backup from your internal storage and copy it to your pc or sd-card
5. Reboot to TWRP custom recovery. Do "Advanced Wipe" options and wipe Dalvick-Cache, System, Data, and Cache. I also advise deleting /Android directory from Internal storage and SD card!
6. Install the rom!
7. REBOOT!!
8. The initial boot process will take around 12 minutes. Please be patient. It WILL boot. The phone might reboot once from SuperSU.
9. Once you reach the setup wizard proceed as usual and setup your phone.
10. Once phone is setup, Now Install Rom Control!
11. You're done! Enjoy!!

GSM ROM!
Gsm Rom:
Fyi, If your using this phone for gsm, I found its just easier and better to install a Tmobile rom. I don't believe you need a data fix with it. (Sorry it's been awhile). Never use a tmobile odin firmware though!
You can also install any other international rom but you will need a data fix and kernel!

Gsm fix patch from old rom: (Not needed for above rom! Only to flash over sprint rom in post 1)

Thanks bro. I know the note 4 is dying out with devs. So it's always nice to have people keeping us alive. Take your time bro, i know how it is!
I flashed, and this is what I came encountered:
I was not rooted, so I Odin flashed TWRP, wiped everything but SD Card (Deleted SD Card Android folder) and flashed ROM followed by Rom Control 1, then 1.1.
First thing I noticed is that the top bar (not sure of its proper name) was missing, and when I swiped down, nothing happens. So, I cannot see any type of activity (i.e. new email icons, new text messages icons, notices, etc..). With that, I could not see my battery level, time, date, etc...
Second, I did not have root. I flashed SuperSU via twrp and still did not have root.
Third, when pressing the Power button to awake the device, it takes a few seconds to turn on. At first, I thought it wasn't turning on, so I kept pressing the power button... so the phone screen would not turn on. I eventually found out that I needed to wait a few seconds after pressing it the first time.
Fourth, pressing the "Recent" app button does nothing.
At this point, I think I am going to re-flash but without ROM control to see if these problems still exist. I'll report back.

Yes, i had that problem with Rom Control once but it was on a N7 port rom.
When i last tested this rom control with stock. It worked but i also already had the rom up and running. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Thanks for reporting. Please let me know how just my rom works without it.

You have no root?
I'll have to pull file and check. I must have rushed.
Thanks for letting me know.
Also check the SU Hide app? Maybe that's messing it up. I've never used it before but included it, as some are interested in it.

For anyone reading this,
I just verified results, Yes we must not flash rom and rom control at same time. Or no status bar.
Flash Rom, reboot, setup. Then flash Rom control.
All good! Reboot will take a bit, dalvik gets cleared.
