Hi,
I rooted my I747M and installed CM 11 D2LTE Rom 4.4.4 KK. (I tried with CM kernel and Quantum Kernel)
Everything work well, except the Wifi, it's not stable, going up and down all the time. So i tried to install different modem, all the other modem (From HERE I747M) are not working (WIFI is working very well with thoses modem but I have no Signal with Koodo) .... dont know why !!!
Should I try the AT&T modem ??
The only modem that work is the I747MVLUFNK2 Baseband & Modem (Koodo).
Is there other Baseband / modem that I can flash to get a stable Wifi !????
Thx
PS : Sorry for my bad english
What bootloader is on your phone? You should make sure the baseband/modem matches your bootloader. Does the problem occur with stock ROM?
My baseband/modem matches my bootloader. I didn't want to go back on the stock rom because i hate all the samsung Apps. But I think i have no choice, I will try it tomorrow to let u know if it is working good or not.
Thx for your fast answer
You should verify your bootloader before trying to go back to stock as attempts to downgrade a 4.3 or newer bootloader could brick your phone.

I tried all modem in that topic but signal still bad
The problem is i cant downgrade to the "old" 4.1.2 baseband. Only some 4.1.2 new baseband works
Was on official stock Nordic 4.1.2 ROM, flashed Faria's deknoxed international 4.3 ROM & got exactly the same result as you.
Followed the roll back procedure in his description, reflashed original Nordic stock 4.1.2 again, & reception is back to normal.
No doubt it's the modem that's causing the decrease in reception. Thank God it's not irreversible.....

Can you tell me baseband version and rom version???
Im currently on ddemj9 modem and Xxueml6 rom
Here you go. It's the downgrade ROM (by Faria) that I used:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=3117&task=get
After successful flashing of the above ROM, flash your country/area's
official 4.1.2 ROM, and you're done. You will need to wipe the device
before flashing Faria's downgrade ROM. This worked on my phone.
The Nordic ROM that I flashed after using Faria's downgrade ROM:
N7100XXDMG1_N7100OXXDMG1_N7100XXDMF1_HOME.tar
It's available through Sammobile, or similar.
Good luck, dude! :good:

Yes, you must flash the correct ROM for your country/area
after flashing Faria's one. Then you get the correct modem.
Get the appropriate ROM on your phone, & you'll be fine.

I tried but it still the same . Poor signal and my N2 now almost like a tablet )
I may have just figured out my problem with signal but I want to run it by you masterminds first... Looking in the cyanide about phone exta info I see I am using bootloader T999LUVAMB7 and I flashed the NC1 modem a few days ago and ever since had poor reception... I'm thinking its cuz the bootloader doesn't match the modem... now there is OFW AMB7 , BMK4, BNC1, and BNF4 all in order of release date NF4 being the latest aug 2014. now since my bootloader is the oldest version and my modem is the 3rd update of 4 possible... should I Flash the complete BNF4 OFW and MODEM to update my bootloader and baseband modem to the latest and then flash Custom recovery / root / flash Cyanide L 5.0 (kernals gapps all that) ??? and if so should I backup or store anything on the way so that I can revert back if needed?? what would be the smartest play here? I don't want to brick my phone. I had originally upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.4 and cyanogenmod then went to cyanide lolipop ver 5.0.2 I dunno if this makes any difference or if all that matters is my current bootloader and basebands.. but I know the secure bootloader worries me so I don't know what to do exactly. I am fairly new to this still...
Thanks guys!!!
You'll need to flash the bootloader & modem together, if you're on NC1 baseband you should flash the NC1 bootloader & modem.zip so they match, however I'm not exactly sure about skipping versions, I've heard that you should do it incrementally not skipping versions, when I updated mine (d2att) I didn't skip. You're lucky as heck you didn't brick it already, now that you've skipped & are on NC1 baseband and the phone still works I (THINK) you'll be OK to flash the NC1 bootloader & modem.zip while on cyanide. Do it at your own risk, I'm just trying to help, look into it & search, talk to others as well & be sure!! Good luck, hope you get it going!
If you take full NC1 = Locked
Is that correct? I kept a early bootloader and get update-binary erros in cwm. My flashes have continued just fine thru to Carbon KitKat (TWRP/CWM/Pref - Philz Touch). The Modem is the Safest Thing I flash.!. The last time I took the latest firmware BEFORE 4.3 And Flashed it in Odin. I have a frantic mind. I anticipte some issues with kernel and "drivers" on Lollipop. Just what worked for me.
I know there are KNOX Free images, but I have not flashed those with Odin. Ufvthey say bootloader is unlocked or left out I might try one of those first. I am Probably being paranoid, but in my head it made safer sense.
It's been another few months and still the same problems with all ROMS i try, when the screen is off i lose connection to the mobile network, When i turn the screen back on it will connect and start buzzing and alerting me to every unread message and e-mail Which gets annoying very quickly let alone missing messages and calls.
This happens on CM 12, Pac man rom, GPE and others. Both with 4.4.4 and 5.0. CM 11 works fine for me without this issue.
I see people say they are using these roms without this issue so something is definitely wrong but I can figure out what.
I'm using an Unlocked T mobile s4 on the Wind network In canada
Model SGH-M919
Baseband M919UVUAMDL
You may need to update the baseband a bootloader in order for the phone to work properly with the latest ROMs.

Thanks for the reply, before i screw anything up there doesn't appear to be any explicit guides. I'm assuming i use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678774 with the OK3 Rom. beyond this is there anything i should know, like will i have to unlock and root my phone again, or anything like that?
The stock ROMs for the sgh-m919 are here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-M919/
The simplest way to update to the latest bootloader and modem would be to flash the phone back to stock using the above-linked software.
Once you are on the latest stock ROM, flash the latest TWRP to the phone. Once TWRP has been installed, you can flash a custom ROM. Rooting first is not necessary if you intend to run a custom ROM.

Sorry for the late update but I got it working thank you.
The FOK3 and FOH3 didn't work for me, once installed it still showed the MDL version. Once i did the FNK2 it worked.
Is there a reason to upgrade to the FOH3 or FOK3 from the FNK2 versions provided i can get them to work?
I always recommend running the latest bootloader and rom but, if the bootloader and modem work without issue, you can hold off.
Hi is it recommended for me to update my baseband I747MVLUFOB1 to I747MVLUFOB3? I'm currently using OCT-OS M and I don't know how to extract the modem.bin of the official firmware of samsung. A tutorial for updating it and rooting it again to flash CM 13 will be much appreciated guys.
P.S. Will there be a yellow triangle sign after updating it to latest baseband, if so, how can I remove it?
EDIT: is it okay to choose from any of the region in the list http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-I747M? Thanks in Advance
I am not sure that if will make much difference. The fob3 rom update may take care of security issues.
If you are going to run cm13, the simplest way to get there would be to flash back to a stock fob3 rom, flash twrp via Odin, then flash cm13. There is no need to root before flashing twrp since you will be replacing the stock rom with cm13.
why would u do that .. i'm on FNK2 and i flashed all roms including cm13 .. theres no need to upgrade ur baseband .. and if u want to upgrade u have to chose your provider i mean rogers bell ....
The i747m carried by all Canadian carriers have the same hardware which means that a Rogers i747m rom can be flashed to a Telus i747m phone. The only restriction is that the rom being flashed cannot have a bootloader that is older than the phone's current bootloader.
Hey, I have few questions and a request.
first of all is it possible to flash modem after flashing the rom(I currently have a working kitkat 4.4.2 TWN v10b- stock rom) but I don't have signal - that's because I have messed up things before that and installed a rom for hongkong d858 phone , now hardly I could flash back to my stock rom but i still have no signal .. so that's modem related i suppose .
If anyone could give me a link to where i can download kitkat modem for my phone and how do I flash it .. please
*** it is preferred if i can flash it without root ***
well i flashed the modem using twrp zip flash but still no signal any ideas?
