Anyone have this happening on their glide?
I tried all of the following:
- clear data
- clear cache
- wipe cache on boot screen
- delete and reinstall the apk.
- 3G only instead of Wifi.
When I reset everything, all works fine until I try to update an app and that's when the FC's begin
The google play apk I have is v3.5.15
Is this what you guys have as well?
I'm seeing few other posts on other forums, but no solutions yet.

Try reselecting your Language in Settings > Language and Keyboard, after re-selecting, a media scan should occur, then try launching Market Play Store
no luck.
Damn that sucks bro. I had 3 updates and i updated with no problem. On both my KF and Evo 4G.
What rom are you using?

okay last one that i think worked on me before:
- turn off internet first, then uninstall updates on Play store
- reselect language again,
- turn data/wifi on back, wait for Market to update to Play store
I'm using Stock Rogers ROM but the phone is rooted.
I've had quite a few calls missed recently (doesn't even ring), so i think i think i think I'm gonna give it a factory reset.
maybe take a gander and some of the new custom roms out there now as well.
Wow that was painful...
Did a factory reset and GPlay still FC's
Did a full factory reset + Wipe USB and SDCard storage and GPlay still FC's (v3.5.15)
I now have found a tool that allows me to download APK's from Gplay web site and load them manually onto my phone, until Google can fix their latest version of Gplay which has affected others as well.

I flashed back to Rogers Stock a few days back to replicate your issue, but until now, my Play Store is still at v3.4.7 and no FCs. I am still investigating for I got this one before but solved it with just uninstalling updates and re-updating...

Cool how do you do this? I have a cousin of mine that has the HP touch pad with Cynagen Mod installed on it but when he goes to the store a lot of apps say not available for you're device. So then he asks me to get them and backup my app with Astro and then send him the apk. If he used the tool you use he would not need my help.

Hello, I have installed the Android 4.3 ROM on my Kindle Fire (1st Gen) about a month ago or to be exact Dec, 26, 2013. It was working perfectly and smoothly with GAPPS installed on it, till now. My brother asked me what was wrong with his Kindle/Android because it kept giving him Gapps errors. I tried everything such as Factory reset, reinstalling Gapps, wiping EVERYTHING and stopping all Google Services like Framework, Account Manager and Google Play Services. Nothing works, about an hour later I went on my Kindle/Android and I got THE SAME ERROR. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure that googleplayservices.apk is in data/app, not in system/app. this is commonly the problem. Also make sure you installed google servicesframework.apk before googleplayservices. Just in case you dont know, google services framework.apk has to be in system/app. hope this works

How do you uninstall the updates on a kindle fire hd
What version of googleplaysesrvices do I need? I tried 7.0.99 and 6.1.71 but they are both fail.
Its to do with location services. If you turn the location service off then the error message will also stop. But what if you want to use maps? Go into the location settings and change the high accuracy mode which uses wifi and gps, to gps only. For me at least, this eliminated the error message and still allowed location to work for navigation.

Uh, it messing up my Kindle! Whenever I try... it won't sho up as one app, and it is Google Service. Why?! I can't even delete 4share! I can't even type without that Sign! Plz help me! I just want to delete the app but it doesn't show up!help!!!!!
I have a Sprint Note 4 which is rooted and yesterday I downloaded Lucky Patcher and the Modded Google Play Store to replace my stock Google Play Store. So through Titanium, I backed up the stock Google Play Store and then I uninstalled it, since the Modded Google Play Store would not let me install it without doing that. I also cleared the cache and data on Google Play Store and now it just keeps crashing all the time. When I try to download something, it starts to download and then immediately it crashes and gives me the "Unfortunately, Play Store has stopped working" error. I get the error no matter which version of Play Store I use now, whether it is the modded or the official version. I tried clearing data/cache to Google Play Services as well, to no avail. When I try to restore my backup of Google Play Store through Titanium it stays frozen with "Restoring Google Play Store 5.1.11" and I end up having to force stop Titanium. This is so annoying! What can I do? Thanks so much in advance!!!
1) Go to Application manager/All, scroll down to where you find these three: Google Services Framework, Google Play, and Google Play Services. Force stop and delete cache and data for the first two (in order given). You won't be able to force close Google Play Services but choose Manage storage and scroll to bottom to clear all data. It's annoying that they may try to restart, just clear again and reboot quickly.
2) If that doesn't work, got a nandroid backup?
3) Re-flash current ROM, if no.
4) If stock and no backup, consider another ROM or start over with Odin stock tar.
Note: options 3 and 4 may require clean install.
Note 2: I've tried to suggest from least inconvenience to most; hopefully, the easier methods will do.
Edit: you may also see an option to uninstall update to revert to the original system application; consider that as option 2 or 3 for Google Play.

Ok I just did that now when I run Play Store it doesn't crash, instead it is says " Check your internet connection and try again" It seems as if it isn't recognizing that I actually do have a connection? I heard that if you go to the files on the phone to "etc/hosts" file and put a "#" in front of the second IP address in the hosts file that it will work but I just tried that and it didn't so I reverted the file back.
Also I tried going to settings>accounts and removing my Google accounts and re adding them but Play store still says I have no connection (which I clearly do). I made sure my date/time settings are right as well. This is happening with the modded play store and the official 5.2.12 Play Store.
YouTube randomly crashes now as well and gives me "unfortunately, YouTube has stopped " Google play store is still not recognizing that I am connected. I think I have tried just about anything besides flashing back to the stock ROM
Did you try step one again after swapping the Google Play versions? Worth a try, if you didn't.
One more thing: Lucky Patcher creates an Odex file. You should use the Lucky Patcher option to remove the Odex and restore the original. If you're ROM is deodexed, Titanium may not fix this for you. You can manually check for Odex file as well. Titanium is also useful to check for unneeded dalvik-cache files.
And one last suggestion I omitted: in recovery, delete all cache and dalvik cache and reboot.

Hmmm it is working now after hours of fumbling around with settings. Both the Modded and official newest Google Play Stores started working after I turned off "Google License Verification Emulation" and I had to turn off "Google Billing Emulation". Very stressful lol but they were the default settings and I didn't really want to mess with any of the settings as I am just starting with Lucky Patcher.

Was that Google Play version 5.2.12?
I flashed that to system yesterday and everything was working except that it didn't populate my applications and notify updates until a day later. I had to search for updates that I knew were available. Today, the apps populated and I got update notification for available updates. I think it may be part of the battery savings that lollipop is supposed to be bringing; less Google Play wakes.
Consider that your manipulation results may have been skewed by Google not immediately syncing the update.
As for my experience, I did find myself doing step one and considering flashing the nandroid but waited for applications to sync. They did finally sync this morning. The longer sync of apps may have been induced locally by the use of Xposed module "Recent Apps" which can be configured to force close apps and remove from recents, reducing wake times.

No, it is the Modded Google Play Store version 5.1.11 right now that's working but there's a newer version of it that is out. I'm getting frustrated messing with lucky Patcher (if anyone can help me with the basics of it? that i would greatly appreciate that as well. Last question I have is that in my etc/hosts file and there is a "#" before the second IP address in the etc/hosts file. Anyone know what that "#" is used for in front of the IP in the hosts file? Thanks again!!!

The # is used in scripts to comment out; meaning ignore that line in your host file.
As far as LP, there is a help link to read. Discussion threads on LP may get closed on XDA; LP may be a useful tool but leans toward piracy. Not saying this pertains to you but there was a thread that the developer participated in that xda allowed to remain open with a warning. That should be sufficient, unless closed as well.
Edit: found the thread and warning http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45933638, post 21.

Google Store Crashing but only when rooted.
Why is it that when running stock lollipop 5.1.1 on Galaxy S6 Edge is it that Google Play Store constantly crashes when I'm rooted.
When no root it works fine and dandy.
Soon as rooted the bloody thing crashes constantly..
The only way I managed to keep rooted was to use stock google play store and prevent it from updating.
This I can cope with.. If anyone else has come across this issue and found a better way to fix it please let me know
My note 4 lollipop 5.1.1 device has rooted but fix problem in Google play when I update big file(like no system apps) apps so when it's completely update after start beginning wht can I do it
I have a problem with Google Play store app - every time I click on icon it starts and quit instantly with message "Google Play has been closed" (no other info what was wrong). It's newest version available.
I've tried many things:
- reinstalling the app (turning off to uninstall any updates) and reapplying update.
- clearing cache of app
- clearing cache for Google Play services for Instant Apps and Google Play Services
- clearing Data of store app.
Only two (first and last) gave temporary results for the first start - after that I can use app normally, but just after quitting problem is always back until I don't clean Data in Settings/Apps/Memory. I don't want to do factory reset, but it's kinda annoying. Something is loading/changing in app data after the initial start, that results in problem with starting again. Thanks for help in advance...
Uninstall Play store updates, clear data of Google play services for instant apps and perform a wipe cache after that.
Open the app and try if it works.

Can you precise "and perform a wipe cache" - did you mean wiping cache in the 'Google Play' store app or 'Google play Services for instant apps' app or device cache in recovery mode?

First uninstall playstore updates then clear cache of the app "Playservices instant apps" and then perform wipe cache via recovery.
Didnt helped - first start, with "old" version is ok, after closing the app and reopening its quit again ?
Could be problem with Google play app. Couple of days ago, I've noticed that sometimes is not showing updates for installed apps. Force stopping usually helps.

Baronik, please check if you are using latest google play service, 8.1.29 at least. I had the same issue last week. I made even factory reset without lack. Then I found this suggestion on Lenovo forum for Moto Z and verified that I used outdated version 8.0.X. When I tried update it I received notification I use latest version. I was singed to google play service beta program so I unsubscribe it, and done factory reset one more time. After restart 8.1.31 version has been installed. You can try to uninstall updates for google play store first.

I'm not sure about app you're talking about - I got 3 apps "connected" with store:
- Google Play store - version 8.0.73
- Google Play Services - version 11.3.02
- Google Play services for Instant Apps - version 1.19
I've been uninstalling store few times with a hope, that phone will update to newest version. Looks like 8.0.73 is newest my phone can install automatically. Any trustful source for 8.1.29 version to manually install? I really don't want to do factory reset...
Problem SOLVED - I've just installed 8.1.29 version of Google Play store app from APK-mirror and everything is ok for now. I can start app, close it and start again with no problems. Thanks for suggestion about version - I was more than sure, that phone will always install newest store app, but that wasn't true.
So I'm on the latest firmware, fresh flash with magisk, flash kernel, and xposed installed. It was working fine before but now it showes only what is In the attached screenshots. I have force stopped and cleared data from playstore, play services and play framework, as well as removed my Gmail account and rebooted and re-added my account. But it won't fix itself. No magisk add-ons or xposed modules should have any affect on this.
I've used the market doctor feature of Titanium backup to repair market links in the past. You could try that

I had the same issue after I had to clear thev data of the Playstore.
For me, nothing helped: I tried to delete my Google account and set it up again, I installed the newest version of Playstore and Play services from APKMirror and I tried some combinations of this.
The only thing which solved the issue was a clean install. I won't mess with the Playstore again
I had the same issue and i tried literally everything. The only thing that solved it was a factory reset. Also keep in mind that since that occurred any of your actions are not backed up in Google.
Ti backup fixed my playstore links, no need to factory reset
You just have to get the play store to be certified. Here is a quick guide that I wrote myself. It has worked 10 out of 10 times for me as well as my friends. Hope this helps. ?
To get playstore back to being verified. Long press the Google play store icon. Go into app info. Clear data, and data cache. Also hit disable...it will ask you to revert back to factory settings. Hit yes. After that enable playstore again. Reboot the phone. Once you reboot the phone...let it sit for a minute or two for everything to load. After waiting...open up playstore and do not touch anything. Again wait a minute or two for it to register your device. I usually wait until my screen turns off which is a minute. After you waited long enough, check to see if you're verified. If you're not...you have to do the process over again (clear cache, data, disable, reboot, etc) Just make sure you wait long enough this time.
