ParanoidAndroid 4.4.4 Issues - Any help? - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience running the latest Paranoid Android ROM on their Verizon HTC One M7?
Here is the link to the ROM: http://get.aospa.co/legacy/m7vzw
The installation is fine, the phone boots up normally, and (at least when I set it up) wifi worked fine to get my Google account in sync. It wasn't until I disconnected from Wifi that I realized that the mobile network has some serious issues. When the phone boots, there is an LTE connection for about 2 minutes, and then everything just disappears. The signal bars show, but they are dark gray. There is no LTE icon, no data, and phone calls/texts don't work. A restart of the phone will fix this issue for another 2 minutes, and the cycle repeats.
I love Paranoid roms and I was hoping that anyone had any insight as to what I could do to fix this issue. I believe I'm running the most up to date radio (It's 5.x.x.something). Would love to get this ROM up and running flawlessly.
Thank you!

What recovery did you flash it with? When you restored your nandroid, did it fix the issue?

(Help) WIFI not working (grey icon)

For some reason my wifi stoped working.
i was on revolution 2.1.0 and it stoped over night. without me doing anything. It cant connect to wifi - to any wifi. it says the conexion is poor or even the wifi bar is full but the device cant obtain the internet. the icons stays grey wifi is there but no internet.
so what i did was
1. flashed different radios xxkk1 - xxkk6
2. flashed stock with odin from chainfire
3. flashed different kernels
4. flashed different ROMS - cm9 and pauls and then back revo 2.1.
and no such a luck. nothing helps- wifi icon stays grey.
i did full wipe before each flash. and no change.
and somehow after 3 hours wifi came back. without me doing anything.
I am just scared what it could be. did someone here experienced the same issue? how did you deal with it?
Ed
Have u checked your wifi band? 2.4ghz vs 5 ghz? Compatibility with your router?

i did mate. but i left it on auto. anyway it was working before like a charm. and then it stops. i also tried different routers - wifi's all are ok. phone locate them connect to them but the icons stays grey and no internet.
I'm having the same problem.
I've tried Revolution 2.1.0 and 2.1.2 with the same results.
It seems that it just stop passing traffic though the WiFi icon shows the up and down triangles as if traffic is passing. But no packets actually flow.
Usually I can turn off the wifi, wait a few minutes and turn it back on.
Same thing happens to my 3G and 4G icons. They'll grey out but indicate traffic is passing, yet it's not.
I haven't gone back to the stock rom yet because the problem is sporadic enough that I can't make it happen consistently enough to test it.
I'd like this problem to go away. Thoughts and suggestions welcomed.
Hi - same problem. Was your connection solved?

Hello,
I see that your thread ended without a solution to your Wifi connection problem I have a samsung galaxy nexus that has the same problem. I have tried the same solutions, but have yet to find one that works. My data works find, but I prefer to move between Wifi locations to keep my costs down. Where you able to solve your problem...on this site or some other site? Would you mind sharing your solution.
Thanks,
Scott
Had the same problem. Gotta do a fresh install. Wipe cache and dalvik twice and the install. Worked fine. Or you can just wipe dalvik and cache and see what happened. Might work.

Mobile data issue??

Hello everybody,
my galaxy nexus randomly loses mobile data. This issue is not present with wifi connection but only with mobile data.
The only solution is make a reboot and after that mobile data begins to work again.
I've tried to update radio (now i've got XL1) but the problem persist
I also flashed a new rom ARHD 2.1.3 and for now no problem but i've flashed yesterday, so I'm waiting to see if the problem is solved or not.
I read in the forum that i'm not the only one, any solution about this annoying issue?
thanks
Hi,
can confirm the same issue, overall signal seems very poor now I'm at ICL53F.
can you pls paste a link for ARHD Rom? i want to test it, but can't find it using search...
thank you

Do you use JuiceDefender?
Same happens here, and I exchanged my phone to see if it would stop. At least it hasn't happened as much. My advice would be to put a toggle on your homescreen for airplane mode. That always remedies it rather quickly and is a workaround until Google gets on it.

I second the Juicedefender guess. That app turns off my data routinely, causing a delay of up to 2-3 minutes waiting for it to re-connect. I had to get rid of it for that reason.

Nope,
i'm thinkg about to send my phone at samsung assistance, but i'm not the only one, i also think that google can fix that with a future update, but for now this problem is terribly annoying
I have similar issues but mine only started showing up since I started using Tasker to turn mobile data off when phone screen is off and turn back on when phone is unlocked.
One way I can get the data to work again is by turning aeroplane mode on then waiting around 5 seconds and then switching aeroplane mode off. That works for me. Another way I usually go about it is to switch my screen off then on again and my Tasker script disables and enables mobile data.

It's a common issue, people say ARHD eliminates the problem, not sure about that since im in love w/ franco and running AOKP milestone 2. Its a software issue, and will hopefully be fixed in the future. It happens irrespective of radios. toggling wifi on and off resets it 90% of the time
Also theres about 50 posts on this so please follow the rules you had to watch when you joined the forum and search next time.

No data connection at all

Hey everyone,
I recently installed aokp_toroplus_milestone-6 on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus along with the 3.0.8-franco.Kernel-Milestone4 and I have not had a data connection at all since installing it. Since I use Google Voice for my messages, I get no text messages at all when I'm not at home connected to my Wifi. I have tried toggling Airplane mode on and off a few times as well as rebooting and still, no fix.
Anyone seen or heard of this same problem? Do I need to reboot back to stock? I tried finding radios to flash for the Galaxy Nexus and I can't find them anywhere. If that would fix the problem, does anyone have a link?
Thanks!
Ricky
I'm running official cm10 and every once in a while this happens to me, but a reboot normally fixes my case.

I went ahead and flashed a stock Sprint image with Odin and it looks like my data connection is back to normal. Looks like I'm stuck on stock until I can find some more info on why CM10/AOKP doesn't give me a data connection at all.

[SOLVED] WiFi Can't Obtain IP Address on AOKP

Hello, I've been having a problem with wifi on all new 4.2 roms over the last week or so. For an unknown reason, I can connect with phone data but attempts to get on wifi have been mostly unsuccessful. WiFi just says "obtaining IP address" but eventually times out and starts authenticating again. I have tried wiping everything with 3 different roms and now I'm on Tasks AOKP rom (12/23 with stock kernel) and having the same problem. I've tried all available Canadian modems with the same results (data is best for me on LLH1 though). If I switch back to CM10 (12/16) my wifi works perfectly.
I can get wifi if I mash the on off a few times as it usually causes a force reboot and when it boots I get wifi about 50% of the time. Attempts to modify router settings and reboot my hardware have been futile.
Anyway, I'm hoping one of you is interested enough to peruse the log I saved using "wlan" as a filter. I don't know if that's the best filter but it seemed to show the gist of it. Thank you in advance!

I'm having the same issue task aokp 12/23. Also, if I try to toggle the wifi in the settings screen, it reboots the phone.
However you might try to do this. This morning, I flashed the 12/23 kernal found in task's op. I can toggle wifi on/off now without issue. But i'm not anywhere near wifi to check if it connects.
I found WiFi at target and I'm posting from it. It connected right away.
So, flashing the kernel alone after flashing the ROM, fixed my problem
If you were having the same problem as me, I have to wonder if disconnecting and attempting to reconnect will work.
I downloaded tasks 12/23 underwear kernel, booted to recovery, wiped cache/davlik, flashed only kernel, wiped cache/davlik and rebooted. Tried toggling wifi a dozen times, phone crashed, rebooted, still can't get IP. I imagine that if I play with it long enough I'll get wifi back temporarily, but I use wifi more than data so I'd like it to work better if it can.

Back at home, I can't connect to wifi.
Edit. randomly tried it again, and it connected instantly.
Yeah. I've spent a lot of time troubleshooting router settings (channels, signal type etc) and have thought on several occasions that I had fixed it, but shortly after found that it was a one time connect. I have a spare router in storage that I'm going to try, soon, and that should help me decide if it's a router problem or a JB issue.
Sent from my SGH-I747M on Bell using Tapatalk 2
Well, no need to play with the router I have managed to obtain flawless wifi, but not on Tasks rom. The 12/27 illusion rom works great, but I can't get mobile data working on it. I switched back to tasks with hope that a future update sets the wifi straight.

I tried the official CM10.1 12/28 nightly this morning and quickly discovered that wifi was working great. I was able to turn it on/off multiple times and reboot without issue. I flashed a different Canadian modem and reflashed tasks AOKP rom (no kernel, no gapps) and wifi was broken again. That logcat makes me think it's something to do with how the rom is handling DHCP requests, but I'm a noob and hardly know anything about any of this stuff.
A nan restore to my AOKP rom got all my stuff back, but it's takes me a solid 30 minutes to get wifi connected.
Sent from my SGH-I747M on Bell using Tapatalk 2
I updated to tasks AOKP 1/1/13 and my wifi is working perfectly! I considered switching back to 12/12/23 to see if it was the build, but who cares?!
This issue is resolved.

Kit Kat (Stock) Data issues

My phone seems to do this all too often on a daily basis. I check that I have no received emails, tweets, facebook notifications, etc. The problem is my data uplink arrow keeps flashing and it hangs there. This is usually remedied by putting my phone in Airplane mode and switching back it usually works but there have been times when I have empty bars with no data nothing, but it can be fixed by switching mobile network types from WCDA/GSM back to LTE. Anyway this can be fixed, or this actually a Kit Kat issue with the Note 3?
I'm on Stock Kit Kat Unrooted (unfortunately) because I updated before wanting to root and now I don't want to trip KNOX. I have also run a factory reset on my phone (through the bootloader) but it didn't fix the problem.
Is anybody else having this trouble with their Note 3?
I have this issue too. I'm rooted on Darthstalker v6. It happens daily. I just toggle airplane mode on and off and wait ten seconds. I've reinstalled this rom twice and the issue is still there. Hopefully someone can help.
Same issue here! Stock, unrooted. Must be a kit kat issue, I don't remember having it on jelly bean.
Anyone else with the same issue? Chime in

Yup.....been noticing this happen too.....was hoping it was a tower issue soon to be resolved....starting to not sound that way....blah
P.S just started happening (or me noticing it) in the last 2 or so weeks
It's a known bug in android 4.4.2. The new update 4.4.3 has a frequent data connection dropout fix in the change log. Hopefully we get some leak or something for it soon. Now that the s5 is out.

I didn't notice the data drop out until I tried a KitKat rom. When I restored back to the jellybean rom I was using the data drop out continued. So I ended up wiping and flashing the same jellybean rom and still notice the data drop outs.

I have the same issue from the last 4.4.2 update, when the phone is in standby for long time the data connection drop out, or time in time the phone scan the network and some time back to normal after some second or keep scanning and need reboot. when I check the network mode I found all option unselected, I select lte mode and the phone do not respond and have to reboot. I reinstalled 4.4.2 with kie and Odin but same issue . Samsung representative told me that the issue is from T-Mobile , that the phone is ok, and T-Mobile told me that the issue coming with the update from Samsung and affected to note 3 and s4. Who has the fault? my temporal free solution until the next update was replace the sim card in the T-Mobile store. I did yesterday and until now the phone have been ok with the data connection up all time. when it scan the network back to normal with not data drop out.
Last thing, go to wifi - advance option and I put disable (keep wifi on during sleep) and (always allow scanning) maybe these can avoid the scan the network time to time.
