[Q] Stock Recovery

Hello everybody!
After a long time i decided to update via OTA My htc one x with rooted stock rom and ClockWork reovery. but I need a Stock recovery that i can't find(i looked everywhere and i only found This collection of stock recoveries.

The problem is that my CID is HTC__405 that doesn't appeare in the list.
Can i flash [Stock recovery - WWE Europe (3.14.401.27) hboot 1.36]? (the last but two one)
At the moment my software version is 3.14.401.27 and i have Hbot 1.36.00000 with s-on.
what problems could i have if i don't flash the right recovery for my device?

after i flash this recovery the phone shows a smartphone with a red danger simbol on it (i think something went wrong with this recovery).
to flash it i used fastboot
fastboot flash recovery <recoveryname>.img
fastboot erase cache
did i do something wrong?

No that's the warning sign of the stock recovery

Thank you . This is mg stock recovery. It shows des danger sign with Smartphone.

Ofcourse its stock, that's why the icon at start !!!

Need to help for htc m8 dual sim

Hi guys
I have htc m8 dual sim
Andriod version 4.4.4
CID: HTC__J15
Software number: 3.33.401.6
i downloaded OTA update 5.0.2 and installed it
After that i tried to root it but the phone stopped at htc logo
The device now unlocked and software status modified
I need to help please

You said you download OTA and installed it.
Now your device on bootloader show OS-3.33.401.6 or OS-4.30.401.15 ?

I think the OTA version is 4.30.401.15

How to help when you don't read what is asked ?

I downloaded the ota and installed it so the OS now is 4.30.401.15

Do you use the right TWRP recovery for Dual SIM to install SuperSU zip ?
Normal Single SIM TWRP won't work.
There is no RUU for 4.30.401.15 as at today.
What you can do is restore 3.33.401.6 backup and its stock recovery and redo OTA
But try the first option -correct TWRP

Check that thread ... see page 12 (if I'm not wrong) .. you need to read that thread because you need the TWRP recovery for Dual SIM, it's there. It's only 18 pages thread, not too many to read.
I don't have your device, so I don't have backups but I have stock recovery image in my thread linked in my signature.

fyi, latest 2.8.7 TWRP for M8 supports single and dual sim, thats what I use on mine.

HI,
Can someone please help me to return my HTC one M8 to its original stock recovery as i have rooted my phone and now i can't upgrade plus also the phone is not stable at all and it keeps rebooting.
My software info:
Android verision: 5.0.1
HTC Sense version: 6
software number: 4.16.401.13
Please help and guide me how can i fix this problem

Restoring the stock recovery alone is not enough. You also need to restore the stock never-rooted ROM (unrooting will not work) using a TWRP backup. Alternately, you can relock the bootloader (not required if s-off) and RUU straight to Marshmallow using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926626&postcount=6

Htc one m8 (s-on) back to stock rom

Hi and sorry if my question has already been answered.
I have a rooted htc one m8 (team-s rom) and my device is S-ON.
I want to return back to stock rom. I do not care about the boot warning message and I do not care not loosing root. I just want to install the official Rom and maybe keep it rooted. Is that possible?

you have tow options
1-flash RUU if it's available for your device variant

if you don't know how to choose the right files,post the result of fastboot getvar all ( after removing serialno and imei )
P.S if you will restore a backup ( or flash another rom ) you need to flash the firmware first since s.rom modified the adsp.img you will have issues with audio on all roms excep s.rom
