Hello all in need of some help. I am currently on the awesomness we call DomPop:good:and have removed the volume safe warning dialouge the prompts when raising the volume to high when using headphones, what I would like to do is take the image from the system volume(volume slider that pops up when using no headphones) or any other volume slider that does not have the RED color in it and just use one of those images and rename to the image with the Red color in it but for the life of me I can not fing this said image, is it a .png or a qmg even if some one could nudge me with the name I can hunt it down from there but I am stumped. I have looked in the framework-res,SystemUI, and even the TouchWiz launcher and can not find this darn thing so any help or guidance will be much appreciated.:highfive:
I have attached images of the one I want to change with red and replace with the one with all blue
Thanks
If I recall correctly, it's in framework, and the color is just a tint in xml...

Hello all
First off.... sorry if this has been touched on else where. I've searched the site and can't find a pot like this however will apologise if I have missed one.
Ok, so.... has anyone else found that when they press the start button to access the start menu that the text underneath the program icons is either in a black or white font? With mine there doesn't seem to be any pattern to this either (e.g every other program name is white). I can have 5 white then 7 black and then 2 white and so on. I'm guessing you get the picture. This is making program selection super difficult, as if i choose a light back ground I can't see the white text, and visa versa.
This is also changes too. If I rest my device then they change the order of blacks and whites. If i change the theme it has the same affect as well.
So... does anyone one else have the same problem? Anyone get a fix? or magic cab. to remove this problem?
Thanks in advance

Are you on Vodafone?
If so, this is what you need to do, it's a slightly bad ROM flash from 6.1 to 6.5. It did this to me.
Remove any files you have on the phone's memory, then carry out a hard reset. then re-flash the 6.5 ROM. you should then have a light grey back ground and all black text.
Ok so I just wanted some1 to test something for me. I want to know if the yellow tint can be cancelled with a gradient overlay. So done an little app to test this.
Need some1 who has this yellow tint really bad and can see it very easily.
Again this is just a test and may amount to nothing, I need volunteers as I don't have this defect enough to see it accurately at 20% brightness.
The app is safe as there is no burn in mode yet. Just the ability to custom create a 3 point gradient from left to right with variable pixel widths for each segment.
So if anyone can test that has this really bad, that would be great.
IMPORTANT:
This little app has no burn in method yet so completely safe.
THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO ***** OR COMPLAIN AT SAMSUNG!!!
All I want to know is does this cancelling gradient help.
Start, Mid, End buttons set the settings panel to control the points (LEFT to RIGHT)
P = position
R = red
G = green
B = blue
A = alpha
So if you have a yellow tint, then you want to start with blue and alpha etc!
Updated the app to default all 3 points to 119,119,119 a 255 so the starting points are the same col as the bg
UPDATED
Not ment to be that user friendly at the moment
If it does actually do something, then I will probably have nice sliders and ability to save setting etc. Just cant be arsed doing that if it's a none starter.

Mine has the yellow tint on the left side but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use this app. It does seem to be changing gradients.
I should have made the gradients to default to gray, will alter and put new version up later today, may do a little vid on how to use also

updated and put in 2 lines to make it easier to show you where to look
Cool app. Seems to help if you tweak it right. What exactly does the "BURN" button do?

Well, if some1 can manage to do an inverse gradient to their yellow tint, then I would enable saving in the app, and enable burn-in, that does just that, full brightness pixel values for extended periods of time to tint the display inversely to the yellow tint, thus attempting to lessen the effect.
Ideally I want some1 with a bad example tint who also has no way to return their phone to try it
I am working on a night mode app for rooted Galaxy series phones, which turns the screen colors to red to preserve night vision and does so in a better way than ChainFire3D. There are also other color options: sepia is nice for web browsing, for instance, and for browsing at night reversing colors to have red on black or green on black should be nice.
I assume that the S3 has /system/etc/mdnie* screen control files, like my S2. I was wondering if a kind soul could email me (arpruss at gmail dot com) mdnie_tune_ui_dynamic_mode and mdnie_tune_dynamic_mode, assuming the phone has them, and also tell me if the phone has dynamic and standard tuning files in addition to the movie ones. You don't need a rooted device to pull the /system/etc/mdnie* files.
Oh, and if you've changed these files, what I'd like to see is the original ones.
Looking at the kernel sources, it looks like the S3 handles mdnie adjustments differently from my E4GT(2.3.6) and there /system/etc/mdnie*. But if someone volunteers to help test some ideas, I would be grateful.
Extreme Power Saver Leaf and Exit Button Colour MOD
I couldn't stand the fact that there was so little colour on the Extreme Power Saver screen....
And I couldn't stand the fact that the only real colour was that nasty little red exit button,
looming there like you did something wrong....
So I've changed the colours!!!!
This makes that screen more welcoming...
If there's a DEV out there that would like to create a EPS themer then please do,
I would love the whole of the EPS screen themeable.
But as such my skills only go so far....
If there's a specific colour anyone want's then send me a jpeg.
There are 15 Colours (including the original : not shown)
If you do want to change the apps that show or move them around then you can use the excellent Xtended Settings from Google Play.
UPDATE
Having spoke to Richmondo he has now included a Leaf colour changer in his already excellent
Xtended settings. It only changes the leaf colour though but you can chose any colour in the
spectrum. You also need Xposed installed (but you already knew that) With my Mod you don't!
Installation instructions included in the .zip
But just so you know..
You just have to replace the HtcEPSLauncher.apk
Use ES File Explorer with Root access.
Navigate to /device/system/priv-app/HtcEPSLauncher
and replace the apk inside.
Delete the colour name i.e re-name it to "HtcEPSLauncher"
without the quotation marks and you are good to go...
I originally did this for the M8 and found out it works on the M7. If you have any problems either reboot or just replace the original. And yep you can always PM me.
Enjoy
