ok well first off i have wear messenger and the regular galaxy s4 text app
how to i reply to text messages,im getting messages and i can only go to the right on the moto and it says reply but when i click that it just opens it up on the phone
how do i reply with my voice or have it open to wear messenger where i can type on the keyboard on the moto?
really frustrating
First off did you install a keyboard? ( flesky, minuum or analog?) If not you can use the one built into wear messager by opening wear messager on your phone > scroll down to embedded Keyboards > enable > customize your settings.
Then force sync it from v the android wear app, now when you open a message you should have the keyboard pop up

can someone tell me why Google Voice has taken over my text messaging? how do I get it to stop? I went to Google Voices site but could not find any way to stop it.
I had same problem, called sprint tech support, you have to be unrooted and call from another line not your phone, they give you codes to put in your dialer then your good to go. Good luck!

No need to unroot, if you set up your Google Voice with Sprint Integration this is a "feature" of that. I went went to google.com/voice and completely got rid of my Google voice acct, then on my phone I uninstalled the app. After that's all done to back to google.com/voice and set up a new account with a different number then your cell phone. After you set up a different num D/L Google voice from the market and this time when it asks if you wanna integrate your account click 'skip' and just use Google voice for your default voice mail.

it sends your voice to google to analyse it and sends back the text.
open the google voice app on your phone. goto sync and notifications. uncheck Inbox Notifications, and check text messages. Should be just like normal. You will then get a text message when there is a voicemail which you can open up the google voice app to listen to it.

Did you set it to be your default sms app?
Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Voice,
then scroll down to the area "Launch by Default" and clear the defaults.
Can someone please help me out? I can send text messages and all but I only receive them with Google voice for some reason. I've looked everywhere for the settings to change it to the default application for texting but can't find anything =/

Go to the website and delete the account. Then when you make a new one don't combine it with your sprint account.

Looks like that worked out for me. Thanks a lot man =)
Also when using google voice, in the setup don't choose the use a text client.

You can integrate Google Voice and still use your stock messaging app (or whatever app you want). That way you keep the other functionality of Google Voice if you want it. The only problem is you'll have to receive voicemail notifications via text instead of a status bar notification. Google Voice does not give you an option to be notified of voicemails only . Here's how you do it:
Once you have Google Voice setup with Sprint integration...
1. Open Google Voice and press settings.
2. Select "Sync and notifications".
3. Uncheck "Inbox Notifications".
-Yes, this will cause Google Voice to no longer give you status bar notifications
4. Check "Text messages" to tell Google Voice to notify you of voicemails via text message. It will warn you that you will get duplicate notifications, but you can just click "Ok" because you're not going to.
5. This last step is very important - Go to voice.google.com -> voice settings and click "edit" by your google voice enabled phone number. Make sure the box that says "Receive text messages on this phone" is checked.
Hey guys, did anyone manage to get the Vlingo car mode to read back text messages or emails? Could you post your configurations from settings > voice input and output > voice recognition choice? Mine isn't saying anything. I have Go SMS messenger if that helps.
Just started looking into it myself and it seems that Vlingo doesn't work well with third-party messengers. I also have Go SMS and not only will it not read or write texts in it, when I say "open Go SMS" it opens messenger.
Yep found that out the hard way you have to have stock messenger only fourth it to work.

I'm running FE22, however this problem was noticed in several ICS builds.
I'm trying to use the Google Voice App for all my texting/voicemails. I'm using the "use your google voice number..." option in the integration, as I had my google voice number set up prior to moving to Sprint.
Google voice is not notifying me of new voicemails or text messages. The online webpage (as well as the Google Voice plugin for Chrome) see the messages right away.
I've checked every and all "notification" type options on the phone. If I enable the "send text messages to phone" and "send text message when I have a voicemail" I get notified via the text messaging app, however that's not what I want. It should notify me in the status bar and play a sound when a new text message/voicemail comes in WITHOUT sending it to the native text messaging app. I swear it used to do this in GB, but I can't be sure if it was on my old Verizon phone, or this phone.

If you go into the Gvoice app - is it set to sync background data?
I've run a few ICS roms and haven't had this problem.
Maybe try clearing the data on that app or uninstalling/reinstalling fresh?
If you are using a battery saver app that disables mobile data or background data, like Juice Defender, then Google Voice will not receive updates while data is disabled. No updates to the GV app, then no notifications.

try this. Open Google Voice App, Menu, Settings, Sign Out. Now, when trying to sign back in, it asks if you want to "Skip" or go "Next". This is asking if you want to integrate the "special Sprint+GoogleVoice" application. Apparently Sprint and GoogleVoice have partnered up. So click SKIP not NEXT. Skipping will allow you to go about Google Voice in the NORMAL SET UP.
I was having trouble making phone calls with my Google Voice number. I experimented and realized that this Sprint integration was the culprit.
Let me know if this solves the issue
So it's fixed now. I'm not 100% sure what did it, but I think it was the option "Voicemail display". I had it checked at one point, and it seem to start working after I unchecked it.
However, prior to this, I had also completely wiped my phone (deleted everything on the internal SD card) and flashed the latest FE22 build.
disable the "Voicemail display - view and play voicemails from the phone call log"
An update for anyone experiencing this and puzzled as to what fixes it. Of course this could have far more variables in play but the setting that enabled the Google Voice voicemail notifications to work was disabling the "Voicemail display - view and play voicemails from the phone call log" option under Google Voice settings. I am running GA10 (JB 4.1.2).
I am so frustrated with this new phone (Samsung Galaxy S20+) I could scream! I have looked everywhere and there is no way to change the notification sounds to be different for multiple email accounts, text messages and FB notifications. They are all the same. And while I'm at it I want to be able to swear and have voice to text to recognize it and not substitute some stupid word!!!
Go into phone settings > Apps > select the app you want to be different and select Notification. Search around in there and you will see the ability to choose a different option for sound

I try to explain in English, because my phone language is not English
Go to settings, app, then find the right application for you, for example Gmail, then tap notifications and choose for what you want to change the sound. When tap to mail, for example there is an option to change the sound. Hope that you succeeded to understand me [emoji23]
