This tutorial will increase your internal memory size
my screenshots as proof in attachment!
added screenshots with english language
Requirements:
Root/Unlocked bootloader
custom recovery
-this tutorial only shows you how to install fresh version of CM 7.2 with Gapps and bigger internal storage
TESTED ON CM 7.2 AND HENSE MOD 4
other roms need testing...
This tutorial is made and tested by me on my rooted WFSFirst step:Backup your apps and settings with Titanium Backup, Make a nandroid backup and also save your whole content of SD card!
Let´s go:
1.Use POWER+HOLD DOWN to start BOOTLOADER and choose RECOVERY
2.Choose wipe data/factory reset
3.wipe cache partition
4.Advanced->Wipe dalvik cache
5.Ok,let´s go to increase internal memory size
6.Choose Advanced->Partition SD card
7.Choose new size of IM(Internal Memory),what you want (max 2GB), size depends of size your SD card, e.g I have 2GB sd card so I used only 512MB( new size of SD card is now 2GB-512MB=1,5GB)
8.In next step choose OM
9.Choose Mounts and storage->mount USB storage
10.Copy files from attachment to sd card(download CM 7.2 :here)original data2sd http://www.mediafire.com/?757066a1516tdkt
11.Now go back and choose Install zip from sdcard->choose zip from sdcard
12.Choose CM 7.2 file ,start installing
13.Next step we need to install Data2SD,which we have on SD card,so install it
14.Finally we install Gapps
15.Reboot phone
16.Restore apps from Titanium Backup
Screenshots from my phone in attachment
Enjoy it.

IF YOU LIKE THIS TUTORIAL,SAY THANKS
please test it on stock and does i need to partition my sd card before doing all this or will it do it automatically. ( btw i have a 2gb ext2 partition with link2sd )
hellnoob:you dont need to make partition before this tut like for link2sd,you will create it in recovery so delete partition for link2sd and start with clear(like with new ) Sd card
can i use both link2sd and data2sd then by keeping my ext2 partition and making a new one through recovery for data2sd??
its not necessary,to keeping ext2,because data2sd does everything instead link2sd,so data2sd is better in my opinion,
after this tutorial people are using link2sd only for deleting and uninstalling system apps, but for this activity is best Root Uninstaller
It says the data2sd zip is corrupted n doesnt let me copy it to my SD card also!
^^ yes cant even extract it

[Q] Sd card issue (CM 10)

Hello folks,
Recently I have flashed CM 10 via CWM 6.0.3.2 on my Samsung Galaxy W. (I followed this procedure: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990795)
Everything worked out fine (yay) exept for two issues I have:
1. My SGW doesn't recognize my Sd card (internal) at all. (though internal is mounted in cwm menu)
I have several folders regarding my sd and external sd:
- sdcard> tells me it is "unplugged" (in German> translation might differ) when I enter via file manager
- mnt/sdcard> here it tells me my sd card is unplugged as always
- storage/sdcard0> unplugged
- external_sd> it tells me sd card unplugged if I enter
- mnt/external_sd >here I can enter all of my folders
- storage/sdcard1> here I can enter again
2. My SGW can't mount my external sd anymore. I can clearly enter my external sd's files, but apparently I cannot mount my PC. Especially not with Multimount because it requests me to mount my internal sd (issue 1).
So how do I get it to work properly? - is it possible to do it via Terminal Emulator?
Specifications:
- Samsung Galaxy W
- Android Version 4.1.2.
- Kernel Version: 3.0.80-cyanogenmod-gc689589
[email protected] #1
- Cyanogenmod Version: 10-20130605- UNOFFICIAL-ancora
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi, I have similar issues with internal storage after flashing to 4.2.2 and also 4.1.2. Model is galaxy W previously 2.3.6 stock.
At root, i have
/data, which seems to be my internal storage as the FX file explorer show it has a storage of 1.07gb
/external_sd, which contains my files in micro sd card
/sdcard, which ES say SDCard unmounted
/storage, which contains sdcard0 (SDCard unmounted), sdcard1 (micro sd), usbdisk (SDCard unmounted)
In the andriod settings > storage, I can see internal storage with total space 1.07gb, but unable to mount it.
My camera and gallery says "No external storage available".
What should I do? Please help

This can be done for the SDcard you can unplug and plug directly to an other device like an PC, but not with the internal.
So better try the following. Secure your files if you can. Reboot into recovery and format there both. Rebooot into CM10 or whatever ROM you are using and change your USB operation mode from MTP to Mass Storage.

You probably mean back to stock Samsung ROM. But how will this fix corrupted partitions? And why "must" if there are probably more simple ways to fix it rather than flashing roms forth and back?
First of all he should format both and switch to Mass Storage mode to see if this fixes his issue. Flashing ROMs still can be tryied as a last resort.

I think you are mixing something up. First of all he didn´t say he can´t mount / access it from CWM Recovery but from a running ROM. This is two different things so it still should be possible to access both in CWM Recovery and to do a format.
Secound. Flashing a ROM will not format the internal Storage but only the partition where the ROM will be flashed to. They are not the same, so this is also two different things. So even if you flash a ROM but are having corrupted SDcards (Internal and external) they will stay corrupted till you fix this.
And this is why I suggested to first boot into RECOVERY, format both and finally after rebooting change to Mass Storage as the MTP Mode is not always working very well. If this doesn´t help he still can flash back to stock ROM.
However now I´m just repeating what I already said before. If you can´t get it, then I´m sorry for you.

[Q] F240 and cyanogen mod based roms and External sdcard

Hello all,
i got a question so i got a F240L and i tried all the latest roms coming out recently (for only the E980 )
everything looking to run well except the external sd card for me(but it could be my phone :s)
so my question is: are the F240's owners use one of these roms ??? sdcard working ?
i heard the sdcard has to be formated to FAT32 (my 64gig card fall to 32gig by doing this...) and it still doesn't work
thanks

I was wondering did you flash the baseband after flashing CM10 or not?
Were there any problems flashing an E980 ROM for F240?
Also was internal memory properly detected?

Thank you
Can you please list the ROMs you have tried that work
also have you tried a different ext sd card?
I've tried all new
Cyanogen 10.1
Cyanogen 10.2
Pacman
Slimbean
Cyanfox
I also tried another sdcard from my tablet which is under aokp rom
On the stock rom has no problem with
Also in cwm from freegee i can't mount the sdcard
I've already format in all way possible
Ok firstly thanks for sharing your experience. Is card being detected when you reverted back to stock or F240L custom Rom?
Yes it's detected and fully usable under stock
I just seen on a Chinese forum that one other user got the same problem
So I thought E980 and F240 doesn't have the same path/bind for the sdcard
I already tried some command line in terminal
HTML:
busybox mount --bind /mnt/extSdCard /mnt/sdcard/external_sd
but didn't work

Maybe a stupid suggestion but you can ask in E980 ROM thread if people are having troubles mounting external cards on their E980 as well.....i say this because many roms are in very early development and many people may not be using external card as internal is 32GB so maybe the issue didn't get reported?
Just a shot

Have you tried to check on the vold.fstab or maybe use that one from stock f240k.
It is under system/etc. Try to check if this would work. This actually replaces the path where your Internal and external card can be read.
Revert back to your stock rom. and make sure your 64gb is detected. Then copy your vold.fstab to your internal. Then flash your desired ROM. Then copy the vold.fstab from your stock to the new ROM.
Hope this helps. Hit thanks and give feedback if it does. :good::fingers-crossed:

Yes it's working on this one
I think it's something about Version of android and the path "sdcard/1" on 4.2 vs "external_SD" on android 4.1
Did you just flash those zips as usual without anything special procedures?
I dont have much file to store in my phone, I am happy with the internal storage without the SDcard...

Here's one that I can think of.. Revert back to your stock F240 ROM..
Try this.
Revert back to your Stock F240 ROM
From your stock F240 ROM, go to system/etc, scroll all the way down and look for a file named vold.fstab
Copy that on your internal memory and on your PC since your SD card could not be detected.
Flash your desired ROM.
Go back to system/etc and look again for the file vold.fstab
Rename it to vold.fstab.bak(backup), making the file as your backup from the new rom
Then go back to where you saved your stock vold.fstab, copy and paste it to system/etc
reboot
Cross our fingers it would help. AND Work.

[Q] [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Recovery [v6.0.4.8]

Hi all, I have a problem with the new CWM.
I trying to get functioned KK (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735775).
1. I have succesfully installed KK rom
2. I have succesfully installed gapps for KK rom
3. Now I want to get more internal memory using the int2ext+ script..but there is the problem..firstly I tried to install int2ext+ but when I rebooted I find out that internal memory is same as without metioned script, so I tried to install int2extV2+..again, no more space in internal memory..so I decided that there is a problem with "no partion"..I tried to find out in mentioned recovery where to partition the card, but I cannot find it, how to solve this problem please? And is necessary to reinstall rom etc. because of "non-succesfully flashed two int2ext scripts"?
Thanks

[Q] SD EXT partition.. Link2SD or App2Ext.. problems with mounting.

I rooted my desire 816 [still running the stock rom] and I wanted to try link2sd so I partitioned my SD card and created an ext4 primary partition.. opened link2sd app, installed mount scripts and restarted the phone but the ext partition is still unmounted.. tried ext2 but ended up with the same result!
searched a lot but found so many confusing topics that got me more confused!
what should I do to get the ext partition to be mounted on boot?!
also is app2ext better than link2sd? if so, then how to install it too?
thank you guys in advance..

Thanks! but I think the zip file is for enabling SD card write permissions only..
my problem is that the EXT partition I created doesn't mount on boot and I don't know how to enable that since I'm on stock rom not a custom one..
I am having the same problem. I even flashed that zip but It didn't help.
I had read somewhere that the Exp partition size should be 20% of the microSD card size at most. is it relevant here?
I've also made a Linux swap. the order of my partitions is :
1. fat 32 :15 GB primary, Active
2. Ext4 :now 5 GB primary (It would fail mount with Ext3)
3. Linux Swap : 1.5 GB

that zip is for re-enabling writing permissions on SD card which is disabled in KitKat by default.
------
you don't need that much for the ext partition.. it should be no more than 20% of the SD card size.
I guess you made the ext this size because of games, right? you should use foldermount instead.. It's AWESOME!!
------
I have a stock rom and I don't intend to flash any custom rom but a stable lollipop rom.
------
I have no problems with partitioning my SD card at all, my problem is how to add "Init.d" support in my stock rom to be able to mount my ext partition at boot.
