Any Good Lollipop Rom Not CM Based? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Whays a very good Lollipop rom that is not CM based? And one that the camera works?

God question ..... the stock camera working .. no third party camera please..

Of course there is like 20 ROM's that aren't CM based with a perfectly working camera, and they are, no where, because they don't exist. If they did, they would more than likely be posted on these forums. You get what you get for lolipop that is currently available or go buy a newer phone with it. There is no hidden ROM's or working camera that no one is not telling only you about. What's on the forum, is what it is.

Hey getochkn. So, for us T999 owners of the S3, we got to wait for a Lollipop update for other S3 variants so it can be ported to our T999.. is this right?

I doubt the S3 will get an official version. No announcements from Samsung AFAIK. CM based or nothing. LiquidSmooth lolipop is pretty good, open camera works or cymera works for me fine.

I think I'll pass on the CM based Lollipop. I'd rather use a KitKat rom with working camera than Lollipop with no cam functionality.
Btw, what do you mean by open camera?

Open Camera, it's a camera app from the play store that works fine with lolipop.

...my Incredible and was going to put cyanogenmod on it but noticed it doesn't support the camera. The camera was one of the main reasons we got this phone for work. What would be my other options or should I wait until this bug is fixed?

None of the Froyo ROM's have camera support. Now if you flash a stock 2.1 Rom then you will.
HTC has not released the drivers for the camera and 2.2 AFAIK.

Why are you rooting a "work" phone? You don't have many options except for going back to a stock rom or one that has a working camera.

Because I want to? It can be unrooted, correct?
I've been looking at trying out Jager 1.7 until cyanogenmod works.
cm 5.0.8 is stock 2.1 it is good. all thwt is broken is camcordr.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
My suggestion is just stick to stock rom (for now till 2.2 is released) and use all the other fun features of root!

multiview is a note 2 and international S3 feature. there are roms in the android development section that offer a ported version of this but it is not native to our US S3 variant. to the best of my knowledge, there is not a flashable mulitview package. if there was, it probably would not be stable. cheers

i dont think we'll see that update over here in the states. we might see 4.1.2 or 4.2 sometime this year, but it wont include mulitview.
i've heard good things about GalaxyMOD and there's Synergy rom too. both of those are based on stock with some mods and such. go check them out. i stick with aosp-based roms so i cant vouch for these one's stability. just know they're probably the top 2.

In the themes and apps section, search for 4.2 camera. There is back thread that contains several different cwm flashable cameras including note 2 and the 4.2 one

looking for 4.1 camera apk

Hi! I'm looking for a way to install camera app from 4.1 on my n7100.
Now I'm on Cyanogenmod 10.1 with camera from 4.2 & it's awful! Focus doesn't work right & hdr mode too I tried installing stock 4.1.2 + camera from 4.2. It's the same, so it's not Cyanogenmod problem.
Plz help!
Hello.
Here the APK of the stock camera from my 4.1.2 XXDMG1.
I hope it will help you.

Can't install it
"app not installed"
tried to copy it to /system/app & reboot, still the same
Even tried to rename it to Gallery2.apk & replace the original Gallery2.apk in system/app (not Gallery.apk because of Cyanogenmod?).
how should I install it properly?

Sorry i don't know.
But on the stock ROM the galerie and the camera are two different APK.
And you can go directly in the galerie with the camera to show you the pic you just taken, so maybe its needed for it!
Try to instal them both in system APPS.
Here the original galerie to try with it.
as far as my knowledge goes you cannot use Samsung stock features on aosp ROMs like you cannot youse the Samsung camera on android aosp or AOKP ROMs they won't work as Samsung has highly integrated these modules with its touchwiz interface

I think exactly that is the issue. Samsung apps need also the TW framework. For AOSP I can recommend you to use Camera 360 from google play. Makes very good pictures and has a lot of features. App is also for free .
Decided to go 4.1 stock + root. The hdr camera is great, better that in camera 360 or any other app I saw. I also updated camera drivers just in case (turned out I had not the newest one). + I installed 4.3 stock camera with photosphere as a separate apk & that's all I need for now
iam having an issue with my galaxy s2 beanstalk rom my camera is not working
i have 4.4.2 installed plz help me out
Yeah , so far i hate the aosp camera app....it sucks. The touchwiz camera in 4.1 had so many great features....photosphere is a big turd.

Request: Stock Motorola Camera for AOSP

Hey everyone,
I really like to use CM-Roms or CM-Based Roms, but I don't like the Google Stock Camera.
I've tried some MotoCam versions I've found, but there is no 100% compatible Camera. Does anyone know a fully-working version?

cm 11, 4.4.3
I have just updated to the lastest CM nightly 11-20140606-NIGHTLY-falcon and it is now at Android version 4.4.3. I'm wondering if it's safe to flash this Motorola Camera package from 4.4.2

Can You Suggest a Good CM Lollipop Rom?

I got the Samsung S3 Tmobile T999. I want tot install the latest Cyanogenmod rom. Mind you, I'm a noobi, never installed CM before. But I'd like a good recommendation for a good, STABLE rom thats CM with the latest Lollipop. But without any issues like camera, video, wifi, calling, etc. . Can you please recommend one?

Honestly to tell you every Rom is almost based of CM . So your best bet would be to install CM 12 cause you get constant updates.

No, once you download the update go to recovery and look in cmupdater folder in the root directory, the update should be there. once u install it, you are good to go, everything will be there after u update, so no reinstalling. just clear ur cache before u restart after update.
Ok cool.. Will do that. Appreciate it.
