Hello,
I would like debug my android apps on my Nexus 7 2013 with ASUS Dock for Nexus 7 (2013) but after I connect usb to my computer nothing happens. I don't see device connected neither usb list of devices doesn't show anything.
Is it even possible to connect Nexus 7 2013 on dock to computer?
Thank you for answers and advices.
For now, I use debugging via wifi. ... However, let me know if you can connect via cable.

So, i have a nexus 7 FHD, its rooted with slim rom and it works great. My sister just got a nexus 7, and i rooted it for her with a toolkit, and updated to the latest OTA. The problem is, her tablet is now showing up as a MTP device on my pc, while my nexus 7 is. I know its not the wire because ive tried both my wire and hers with my nexus, and they both have my tablet show up. Furthermore, i see it as a device under the device manager, and my pc makes a sound when it plugs in, but i still cant do anything.
Does anybody know what to do?
Fix the driver that pops up when her tablet is plugged in, don't let windows search for the drive install it manually. A quick search will point you to the correct one. Also best not to use toolkits, if you did this manually my guess is you would have installed all the proper drivers but that's besides the point

have you activated "Media device (MTP)"?
you can find it under (Settings → Storage → USB computer connection)
I'm new here and I've just bought a Nexus 7 but I can't find a way to connect to my pc(Windows 8.1) I'm using a USB cable but the Nexus 7 doesn't appear in the Device Manager and I keep getting "USB Device Not Recognised".
Can Anyone help please?:crying:
Try a different cable. Some are better than others.
I'm having trouble getting my windows 7 pc to detect my nexus 5x. It doesn't even show up on the device manager. I bought a USB C to A adapter and I'm wondering if it's the adapter that's causing the issue? How are you guys connecting your phones to your pc's? I can't even pull it up as a removable storage device to transfer files let alone unlock the bootloader.

When you plugged it in did you go to Notifications and change from Charging Mode to MTP?
I actually had to uninstall the driver software and let my laptop "find" it again and all was fine.
Hi,
When connecting my Nexus 7 2013 tablet to my VW Passat 2017 with Android Auto by USB cable it doesnt get recognized. I've sideloaded AA into the tablet but that doesn't help. Anyone tried to connect the Nexus to a car with AA?
Kind Regards

Hi,
my Nexus 5X is not connecting to any Windows 10 machines.
I purchased a usb-c=>a cable that has been checked to be working with Nexus 5x.
USB debugging is allowed, PTP is selected.
Even in the device manager, nothing appears when connecting the phone.
Is this an hardware issue?
Any ideas ?
Thanks for the help.

Hello,
Do you even get the notification sound when you connect it to windows 10?
Nothing. just charging.
and tried with several computers.
The cable is "Benson Leung" approved.
I take it from your description of the problem that it can connect successfully to non-Win10 machines?
