Rooting/Getting Rid of Bloatware(SM-910A) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Is there any method of rooting that got around the locked bootloader as of yet? If not, any suggestions as to how to uninstall all this bloat?

You search. Thats how you do it
How to root 4.0.2.A.368
I can not get way to root my play.
Please teach me, if you know.
I was searching and the only way I found is the ota method. But i dont have OTA here. BTW if any one know trackID works on unlocked boot-loaders now?
Assuming you have 4.0.2.A.368 STOCK, it MUST be stock, then go here and follow the instructions. I mean you could have found it yourself but I really dislike when people send others straight to the search bar. It's no help.

If you use the paid method of bootloader unlock rather that the official one. You dont loose DRM certificates or ability to OTA update

[Q] Need to do anything before unlocking bootloader?

I heard about Wallet not working if you unlock bootloader without logging in or something? Is that true? Is there anything I should do before I unlock my bootloader, root, and install custom roms?
Thanks.

Back up your sdcard to your computer, as unlocking will wipe that. As far as the Google Wallet question, I am not sure. I've never had an issue with it.

If you've been using your phone before your unlock the bootloader, then back up your "/mnt/sdcard" because it will be wiped when you unlock bootloader.
You must reset Google Wallet from within the apps settings. Open the app and go to settings>reset wallet. This MUST be done before you do a factory reset, unlock the bootloader, or flash a ROM otherwise you run the risk of breaking the NFC secure element for wallet.
So If I have had my Nexus for an entire day and I don't care if I lose anything, since there is nothing but a few apps I can get again, I can just go for it?
Should I wait until my Verizon Nexus upgrades itself to 4.0.4??

That's totally up to you. I personally ran mine stock for a month to make sure I didn't have any hardware issues. I'm in the process of backing up my SDcard right now so I can unlock and root.

Just unlock it now so you don't have to worry about backing up your sdcard later when you do unlock later.
You'll still get the OTA if your boot loader is unlocked.

I know I'm going to jinx myself, but I love my screen, no gray scale issues at least that I can see, which is all that matters.

[Q] Is it absolutely necessary to unlock the bootloader on the One M8 to gain root?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but in other phones there are methods to gain root access without unlocking the bootloader. So far what I've seen on the One M8, this seems to be necessary. Is this correct? Also, from what I've seen the whole root process wipes the phone clean. Is there a way to root without deleting all my data?

I thought firewater has an exploit that may root our phone without it being unlocked? Correct me if I'm wrong. (Haven't tried it yet )
I think the temproot exploit only works on the Verizon version.
Anyone tried one click root methods? Framaroot, vroot etc?

Weaksauce works well and doesn't need unlocked bootloader.
HTC One M8

Does the G3 trip anything when it's rooted?

So I jumped from my HTC One M8 yesterday, and you would have to reset a tampered flag in the bootloader to make it back to 100% stock. Is there anything similar on the G3, and if so is it resettable also?
Thanks

Yes there is but if you use the purple drake tool in wont get flagged. If you manualy root with adb you will be flagged but for now restoring back to stock via kdz will clear it.
Thanks,.... Any idea if the new Stump root method trips it?

Unlocking vzw bootloader Android O beta?

Just a thought, has anyone tried this? Just curious.
I don't believe there are any devs working on it since the last update that patched the "Depixel8" software. Seems they've given up on the VZW variant. There is a bounty somewhere in these forums. For both bootloader unlock exploit and temp root to flash TWRP and hopefully SuperSU. But I don't know if anyone is trying or what.
Bunch of quitters. lol
I have it works perfectly

Honestly what is in it for the devs to find another exploit, just for it to be patched again, especially that there is an unlocked model of the phone. If they all were locked down, most likely they would try. Honestly just sell the VZW Version and buy the GPE. It is still locked on O, while being TMO.
