is it possible to enable USB mass storage on AOSP ROM??

after losing all internal memory data by wiping the phone... i'm trying to recover photos & videos
could not restore more than 28 pic by diskdigger... other apps like undelete & hexa didnt work(only dealing with external memory i think)... used some PC programs but all of them cannot see the phone because its on MTP connection
is AOSP ROMs hasing the option to mount the device as USB mass storage??(to mount it & try some PC programs)
or is there any other better option??

Hey guys, I am trying to mount my internal storage from within TWRP because I messed up my Kernel settings and want to flash a new Kernel and/or Rom and need to copy it to my phone. I do not have an external SD card yet, so I am stuck with the internal memory. Device Manager has an unknown device called SAMSUNG_Android and I cannot access the storage. Any ideas. I am running windows 8 64-bit

I can't get USB storage to work in TWRP either.
It works in PhilzTouch Recovery. You can flash that through Odin (Unless you have the flashable .zip saved on your internal storage, in which case just flash it in TWRP) and then use PhilzTouch to mount USB and transfer the ROM file over.
This is a littel cumbersome, but it'll work.

I didn't like kies and want to operate my phone internal memory as mass storage mode on any computer.
How do I connect to maps storage instead of mtp.
I have both win xp and windows 7.

it's not possible.
it's on the same partition as all apps you've installed, and all data/settings.
you pretty much have only 3 options:
use a custom recovery to access internal storage.
learn to live with mtp(it doesn't require kies, windows vista, 7, and 8 can access mtp devices directly without additional software)
or use ftp to make your internal storage available, this works almost the same as mass storage mode, but over wifi.

It is posssible with sdcard but not with internal storage.

i never format my interal memory bot after install the ram my internal memory is empty
i can recover my filest with any software bot in mtp mod the cpmpiuter dont reconize phone

Thats issue. Now I understand
You cant do that. You have written new files above old ones and you cant, especially that is is on internal storage.
There could be some method to boot as UMS but I doubt you would recover anything.
Have you tried from recocery to boot as UMS?

yeah i want... why you say i cant recover any data? if the internal storage is mass storage the software detect it one hard or flash drive and can recover data... i think

i old recovery we have one option .. mount sd cart... i remember that but in new recovery we have one option ( mount) and in that we have only MPT that mean we havent mass storage.. i want like old smart phon i have mass storage...

If you cant in TWRP then there is no other.

#Internal memory : windows see it as ''portable device'', SO NO SOFTWARE CAN SEE the memory = no recovery possible
( I tried easeUS, active, minitool, and 2 more).
I know samsung got an app to put MTP into usb mass storage, but how can I do it on this GPRO??

try twrp 2.8..1.0 i think it works .... I have never tried it
