Hi Devs,
So, I was just changing fonts in my redmi 1s but when I second time changed fonts and rebooted, it got stuck at Mi logo. Luckily, I have philz touch recovery installed. Also, I have backup made by philz recovery but however, it doesn't seem to work. So, I am downloading the ROM from official Miui from this link.
So, I just want to know if anyone can help me telling how should I flash the zip file? I can't access internal memory and only can use sdcard.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:good:
Wipe data and cache in the recovery mode and flash it.

So I already did s-off. My new issue is, I am trying to install a rom, but CWM freezes/restarts at random in recovery (CWM)
I don't know what to do. If I try it enough times I can eventually install a rom.
I followed the instructions, after many attemps I was finally able to install the rom along with the patch and the extra files as listed in the instructions. The system hangs in the HTC logo. Why?
Download partitioning zip, unzip to desktop
You get 3 files, put them on the root of your SD card
Reboot in recovery
Make nandroid backup
Format system
Factory reset
Wipe battery stats
Install MTD-recovery.zip
Reboot in recovery
Install rom zip
Install MTD-boot.zip
If you need a patch, install it now
I tried CWM 5.8.X.X (the touch screen version) and it does the same thing! It freezes at random, most of time I can not install a rom, and when I do it just hangs in the HTC logo. I don't understand what the problem is I already have S-Off, I already flashed CWM using fast boot so why am I still having this issue?
Someone please help me.
I found this thread and it has CWM 4.0.1.5, I installed it and solved all of my issues. I can install roms with no issues. I don't understand why I needed that version while the version I was given was 5.0.2.8 for cdma phones.

Hi guys,
noob here,
I was flashing a New ROM 5.6.9 of MIUI 6 (Global version) Redmi 1s
I chose the recovery mode and tried flashing after placing the update..zip file in the root folder of nternal storage.
The update started in recovery mode and stopped at 98% after whch it failed.
After reading the instructions, it was mentioned to wipe the data. I went to the recovery mode and then wiped the data.
Now the phone is refusing to start. No data in the phone.
Kindly help as the phone is now defunct

can you still enter to recovery mode? and if its mi recovery, try to flash the twrp recovery using adb-fasboot.
you can read here forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-1s/general/recovery-team-win-recovery-project-t2907241
and after you have twrp recovery, flash the miui rom
Hey guys, i think i messed up my internal storage partitions. Big story though. I have TWRP 2.8.6.0 but i can't flash/do anything, it won't find any partitions...not even sd cards. The phone can boot and works fine. Is there any way to fix the internal partition through the terminal? Or my only option is to flash stock rom and then flash again?
Greetings.
Hi Chrizz,
I think you have the same problem as me. Still no luck on solving.

Greetzz
i installed a new rom with ace2nutzer's kernel (20150821 build) and my device became really laggy too. Then i flashed chrono kernel, it was working fine. But when i went to the recovery again it flashed twrp 2.8.6.0, probably from the chorono kernel but i used to have cwm recovery. Now the only thing i can see in TWRP is some systems files like efs, ramdisk, etc.
From the zip of twrp recovery (use twrp_2.8.7.0_280815.zip download it from developer section) Extract the file tmp/twrp.fstab and copy it to /ramdisk manually, you could use root Browser for doing that.
I solved the problem with this procedure
I have rooted my redmi 1s an year ago, and flashed cyanogenmod(13,14) later, lineage14 on it. It uses custom recovery TWRP(3.1.1). Also, I have flashed latest lineage 15 on it ( Increased system partition to 2gb ).
Few days ago, I moved to Stock miui by flashing latest MIUI 8.2 on it. Then, I tried fastboot mode and flashed MIUI9 chinese. Again, flashed MIUI 8.0.1 on it and rooted. Root got succeeded and checked OK. Then, I tried to Flash twrp using twrp manager, twrp official app. Both succeeded, but, cannot boot to recovery. It got stuck in team win logo.
What may be wrong with me?
Please help to flash custom ROM on it again.
Philz recovery and clockworkmod installed through fastboot and works. But, I have less experience on these. I need to install TWRP. Please provide steps and links for installation. Currently on miui 8.0.1.0
I have solved the above mentioned issue. Finally, I have installed twrp recovery. Actually it was the issue with firmware I think. Installed, MIUI 8.2 and flashed twrp 3.1.1 on it and works well.
Now, the issue is to reset partition of internal storage. I have tried this using clockworkmod to remove any issues with file system. Now, internal storage is only 4GB, also I cannot wipe or access internal storage in twrp. How to reset back to 8GB.
