Problem with gps not connecting

Hi there,
I've recently installed pays-rom v3.3 froyo on my defy and I can't connect gps. I use gps status but it only shows white bars. My navi app is Sygic mobile maps 8.24 which worked pretty good before (even though sometimes it took a while to fix my position). Is it a common issue with this rom or what? Thanks in advance.

[Q] GPS problem

Hello, I have a gps problem. I installed RunnyDroid 5. I have this radio:12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M
can someone help me troubleshoot my gps problem. I can not get a gps fix at all...
Should I change the radio???
Try installing/configuring FasterFix first. My DHD took absolutely forever to lock on and some days not at all until I installed it.
If the problem persists then yeah I would suggest trying a newer radio.
My gps stops working every couple of weeks, I then use gps status & toolbox to clear and redownload A-GPS data. After that it works fine again.
GPS status & toolbox does help.
It can download latest almanac and ephemeris data to help fixing faster.
Or try using GPS in a good condition where there is no tall buildings or trees. Once you successfully locked GPS for one time, it would be MUCH FASTER to lock again even in worse condition.
Sometimes (when even gps-status isn't working) it helps to clear A-gps data, reboot, clear it again and then redownload A-gps data.

[Q] GPS without CDMA network [HELP]

I'm in Portugal and i've got the HTC Droid Incredible from Verizon, there's no CDMA network in Portugal, but my main problem is that i'm not able to use the GPS on my phone... anyone has any idea? i've tried several app's that work on my other phone but nothing works..
Is GPS even enabled in settings -> location settings? There should be a standalone GPS option on the Droid Incredible. If that's on then you can use GPS and maps data (need wifi for maps data though since you're not on CDMA).
Yeah, you should be able to use GPS with google maps after downloading some data for offline mode.
Make sure all of your location services are enabled on the phone, and make sure you have GAPPS installed, and then get Maps and Nav.
the trick with a wifi-only Dinc is that you have to map or nav your route BEFORE YOU LEAVE because you won't have the maps automatically updating over the CDMA network.
nothing
The thing is that, i simply can't, either way, not even full offline gps (Sygic) neither gps apps like GPS Status...

If no apps can use the gps and different roms dont solve the issue, then more than likley its a hardware failure of the gps chip.

Problems with GPS and navigation

I have been flashing ROMs on my SGS3 for about 3 months now and I have recently ran into an issue where I can't get my GPS to lock on when I use navigation or anything for that matter. I want to fix this but I don't know where to start. I tried some things that others have told me like: like flashing back to stock, unrooting, and using GPS status to fix it but it still won't work. If someone could help, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

i had the same problem with gps. go to settings - location access- and make sure its on, gps satellites and wifi/mobile network are checked . GPS source should be "use internal GPS". after that stay in settings and go to accounts- google-location settings- "let Google apps access your location" set to on. i hope this helps

eragon 5.8 gps not working

i have problem with eragon 5.8 i think gps not working .with 5.6 no problem
Same here
Google Maps is working for me with GPS.
Navigon does not work saying "no gps available"
Hi,
I think google maps uses more than the GPS signal in order to find your phone. So that might be the reason for that?
Otherwise there exist GPS fix test - apps where you could verify whether or not your GPS signal is working
