[Q] is my digitizer broken ??? - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i've been having touch problems ... the phone just goes crazy and presses random stuff very fast and then calms down and after a minute goes crazy again and i have to press the buttons like three times for them to respond .
and i can't press the u letter on the keyboard unless i rotate the device .
i am rooted and unlocked so i did a full wipe (dalvik system cache data ) then downloaded a fresh nandroid backup and restored it from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/general/fresh-htc-desire-816-a5dug-dual-sim-t3030958
now the u letter problem is solved after i did this but the random pressing and lag is still there .
this wasn't my first restore i tried cm12 and like 4 other backups .
now i'm starting to consider that my digitizer is broken .... is it ??????

have you ever tried to update to the latest stock ROM (1.58.401)? it is known to fix touch issues among other things. it's an official OTA

Thanks a lot for the reply sir .

i will try it and tell you if it works .
i tried it before but when it tries to update the recovery opens up soi locked the bootloader but the recovery still tries to open ... meaning the ota isn't updating it's going to the recovery (cwm) instead ... you know why ????

yup, you need to flash the stock recovery before locking the bootloader, also you need to unroot using SuperSU's unroot option

[Q] error [155] .. while installing RUU ROM

can anyone have a solution for this problem while installing RUU Rom it gives me error [155] .
note : ( bootloader is unlocked )
Maybe problem in driver? Check your HTC driver. Try to reinstall him.
Download this excelent tool from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1530864 (all credits goes to theq86) and first use option to change the version of you curent RUU/reboot and then, with the same tool, lock your ROM again and then you will be able to flash latest RUU.
I just dit it on one Wild S, unlocked it again with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576844 (all credits to simonsimons34) and now rooting is giving me the headache (grrrr ) but that's another story
No , see the downgrading post , use the version of your RUU instead of the old version in the downgrade process , it means update as if you're downgrading , you won't find any errors ....
And done! Fully and functional CM 7.2 brought back to life from backup as it was just a few hours before but with new radio and HBOOT:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574717
SupertoolV3, SuperOneClickv2.3.1 and Unlock Root 2.3.0 seems to doesnt work yet with this RUU (at least they didn't for me) but this one did the job:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1616326
(thanks to the ashwin123 for reminding me )

need help to install stock rom back on my htc one x
hello guys.
i need help regarding installing back the stock rom on my One x . i bought the second hand phone few days back and its already unlocked and rooted with Android Revolution HD 18.0 custom rom running , somehow the phone is quiet unstable and rom crashes too often especially on restarting it displays the message "unfortunately process.com.android stoped working" or something like that. and it displays the same kind of message for every app when i try to open any app. i tried factory resets many time but to no aval.
pls guide me about the problem that this phone is having secondly pls tell me the correct Stock RUU for reverting back to the stock rom which i hope would solve the problem.
my phone's detail :
ENDEAVORU pvt ship S-ON
HBOOT 1.31.0000
CPLD none
MICROP none
Radio 5.1204.162.29
eMMC boot mode : disabled
CPU boot mode: disabled
HW secure boot : enabled
modem path : off
its CID is 11111111 ( i think its unbranded)
VERSION-MAIN : 3.14.401.619
i ve following queries
1. do i need to downgrade the hboot to install stock rom
2. how many digits of the version-main number should match with the RUU ... like i ve found one like (RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed (1).exe)
is it ok for my device???
3. anyother especial precaution i should take before attempting this procedure
thanks
Please don't post the sane thing multiple times. I responded to another one.

1- You can't downgrade unless you have S-OFF.
2- All digit must match, so you have to research for the suitable RUU.
3- RUU is enough, if you can find one you can ask for a Nandroid backup.

Please Need Major Help trying to get Stock Updates to Run

Ive got a HTC ONE X and been using the ANDROID REVOLUTION HD 9.7.2 Mike Rom for a while .... Having Issues in calls where numbers are showing unkown and installing apps with the 909 error . Im assuming its because Im running android 4.04.
So Ive decided to update but I have a problem I have the HBOOT 0.94.0000 Kernal So searching these forums it seems i need to go back to stock and do the OTA Updates to fix Kernal.
So I got all the information I needed and downloaded a stock backup and ran that through recovery. This seemed to work and my phone now downloads the Update Software . But when it tries to install and reboots the phone it goes into the CWM recovery screen with a failed to update error . I then put the Flashboot OEM Lock but it now stops at flashboot screen on reboot ........... Please I need any help on this , now lost.
I also tried to find my RUU file to see if that way would work better but there seems to be no links anymore for RUU 1.28.771.9
Anyone any Ideas?
Did you check androidruu.com (or .org) can't remember ?!

My work has blocked that site , Ill have to look later .... also discovered unlocking bootloader isnt as simple as locking it
You can't lock it, only relocked.
Direct links of ruu's you can use :
http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...adio_1.1204.103.14H_release_256494_signed.exe
http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...adio_1.1204.105.14H_release_260888_signed.exe
Thanks for the replies now all sorted . It seemed my recovery image wasnt up to date correctly . replaced it with a newer one and got a scary red triangle screen before updates finally ran. I have managed to get it Fully updated . Thanks again for the help

it's Maybe Due Any problem With Your Carrier Or in While a Downloading OTA Occured Problem Or Missing Files

Your device is stuck in Recovery mode. If you actually press the volume up+down and power key at the same time it will bring a menu that allows you to factory restore your device.
