CID Incorrect ; simunlock doesn't work..

Hello all !
I've a problem with the HTC Desire of a friend.
Listen :
So, my friend has a sim from an operator called Base. But he cannot make any call or receive messages. The network said "emergency call only".
He tried with an other sim from a different operator and it works !
He tried again with a third one, and it works !
Etc...
So, the point is : his phone doens't work with only one operator.
I tried to upgrade the mobile to CM7 : same issue.
I looked after an image (PB99IMG), boot into Hboot : CID Incorrect !
I did the Gold Card, booted again into the Hboot : CID Incorrect !
BUT now the phone works with Base !
So, I remove the SD Card (now a Gold Card) : the phone still works.
Great, isn't it ?
Still following me ?
But two days after, the issue appeared again !
I did again the Gold Card..
The question is : where is the exact problem ?
Is there any solution or my friend has to keep the Gold Card definitely ?
About the phone : no custom rom from an operator, but the phone came out from UK, so I think it's branded.
Baseband version : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
Build : GRI40
Thank you in advance !
Nobody has an idea ?
It sounds more like some sort of simlock to me. Did you try the tool in the general section for simunlocking?
Doesn't know it exists. Ill see.
I tried the bootable simunlock method, but the issue is still there..

[Q] Wildfire s update

Dears
My wildfire S rom version is 1.35.720.3, How can I found whats my phone's region?
ASIAN? EUROPEAN or something else?
Other question is that can I install "OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1_R3-1.33.401.2" on my phone? in HBOOT mode phone detect the update, check it and then returns to main HBOOT menu and wont install it.
Thanks
Check here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074445
Don't forget that you need a Goldcard to flash your phone.
Thanks for the link
I saw it before, but unfortunately I can not find 1.35.720.3 in the list, just these have same RADIO as mine (47.10.35.30 29H)
RUU_Marvel_HTC_Europe_1.30.401.0_Radio_47.10.35.30 29H_7.46.35.08_release_183799_signed.exe
RUU_Marvel_HTC_Thailand_1.40.1113.3_Radio_47.10.35 .3029H_7.46.35.08_release_189976_signed
RUU_Marvel_HTCCN_CHS_1.38.1400.5_Radio_47.10.35.30 29H_7.46.35.08_release_190359_signed
Can i flash every of there on my phone?
Also I made goldcard already.
Of course it's a problem.
For the moment lastest Europe version is 1.33.401.2.
Look here : http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Marvel
You may have an error message saying that the version is too old.
But you can try, you will not brick your phone anyway.
If your phone is S-OFF and rooted, you can wipe cache and data, flash a custom rom like this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186354 (thanks to Alquez). You will return to 1.33.401.2.
For your second question OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1 ROM is an arabic language ROM.
Thanks bro.
my phone is s-on and not rooted yet.
as you mentioned "OTA_Marvel_HTC_ARA_1.47.415.1" is arabic and I want to enable arabic language on my phone to read PERSIAN.
but after booting to HBOOT, the phone detect the update, check it and then return to HBOOT menu, and wont install any thing.
I want to know how can I force phone to install the update!
Sometimes, the problem is the Goldcard, it not works correctly.
Before I was rooted and S-OFF, I managed to update my phone till 1.30 version to 1.33.
I've maid my goldcard with this tutorial. It isn't very difficult, you just have to follow each step carefully.
Go to see : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142529
Check post 3 for the link to "How to create a Goldcard"
Thanks
I will give it a try and will inform you.
New goldvard dosnt work as well
Its seems i have to wait for next europian version to debrand.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using XDA App
I think so.
There is a good explanation there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16479167#post16479167
(See post n°6)
Or if you can't wait, I suggest you to buy XTC Clip. It works fine and it's easy to use.
Good luck.
Chapi, The sugessted way is a little bit risky! I bricked a MOTOROLA recently so I am afraid to do any risky modification.
So I have to wait for a newer version of Europe shipped rom.
thanks anyway .

@Chapi666 I have the version 1.33.401.2 and I'm trying to unlock its bootloader via HTCDEV method but this version is not in the list on their website. How should I proceed? Do i need to update anything? BTW i tried the hasoon ALL-IN-ONE tool but it failed to give me unlock token. Thanks in advance.

Back to Stock

Hi all,
I need some help guys... I purchased a used HTC One X (Quadcore) a couple of days back from an online seller. The phone is perfect but seems the seller rooted the phone. I found out about it by following a guide that said to open a terminal emulator and type "su". It didn't ask me for any password and immediately turned the command prompt to #.
Now the phone has been lagging more than normal and I'm not receiving the OTA update as well. I decided to take it to the store as its still under warranty. So I need someone to tell me what to do and how do I reset it to stock firmware or unroot?
I lost contact with the seller and do not have the option to ask him to reset it for me or get any information about the root.
The phone was purchased from the United Arab Emirates.
Thanks for helping.

boot in to bootloader by pressing vol down + power button at the same time
then once you get to the bootloader check at the top of screen whether its written Locked or Unlocked
If its unlocked then your phone is rooted
if its rooted then you need to flash the ruu of stock ROM to and install stock recovery to unroot
and use some commands..
check this thread:

Thanks
Thanks Vivek for the reply. But is there a certain stock rom I should be using?

Don't know if you sorted this but you need to be using your current version number (find this in.. settings > about > software information)
Unlocked bootloader doesn't ALWAYS mean you're rooted, it just means your bootloader was unlocked... (which is a helpful thing really...when wanting to flash sexy stuff)...
The RUU (Rom Update Utility) Should match or be higher than your version number and must be for your CID or it will fail. FOR example... 1.29.401.9
The 1.29 start bit should match as should the red inbetween bit. This is what you're looking for.
Software info
Ok, all i see when i visit the software information is the following.
Android Version
4.0.4
HTC Sense Version
4.1
Software Number
HTC One maXimus V3.0
HTC SDK API level
4.23
HTC Extension version
HTCExtension_403_1_G_20
Kernel version
2.6.39.4-g090b42e
[email protected] #1
Baseband version
2.1204.135.20
Build number
2.17.401.2 CL89015 release-keys
Browser version
WebKit/534.30
All i want is to return the phone to its factory state. I couldn't get the official OTA update coz of this stupid "maXimus" thing...
Well I guess if you have a nandroid back up you should've made, that would save you tonnes of problems otherwise you need to find what version you were on relock your bootloader and apply the ruu, not sure if you need stock recovery on.
Sent from my now amazing HTC One X thanks to TeamVenoms ViperX rom

I believe you know about going to fastboot mode and use fastboot command, type
fastboot getvar version-main
it will show your stock software version no. then you can look for the right RUU.
The latest official stock rom for the UAE is 1.29.415.11 and Radio 1.1204.105.14 android 4.0.3(i think), and the ruu flasher is
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_ARA_1.29.415.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260742_signed.exe (dont forget to relock b-l )
check the main version from fastboot by the method ckpv5 mentioned and if its not 1.29.415.11 and the radio showing on bootloader is 1.1204.105.14
that means ur phone was not middle east version OR
the original user flashed the wrong update from another country, and you will have to reflash that corresponding stock version.
Remember if you feel scammed at any point(online sellers or shops) you can contact the Consumer Protection Structure in the UAE , call 999 or the directory and ask for the number, they deal with scammers.

[Q] is my digitizer broken ???

i've been having touch problems ... the phone just goes crazy and presses random stuff very fast and then calms down and after a minute goes crazy again and i have to press the buttons like three times for them to respond .
and i can't press the u letter on the keyboard unless i rotate the device .
i am rooted and unlocked so i did a full wipe (dalvik system cache data ) then downloaded a fresh nandroid backup and restored it from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/general/fresh-htc-desire-816-a5dug-dual-sim-t3030958
now the u letter problem is solved after i did this but the random pressing and lag is still there .
this wasn't my first restore i tried cm12 and like 4 other backups .

i will try it and tell you if it works .
i tried it before but when it tries to update the recovery opens up soi locked the bootloader but the recovery still tries to open ... meaning the ota isn't updating it's going to the recovery (cwm) instead ... you know why ????

yup, you need to flash the stock recovery before locking the bootloader, also you need to unroot using SuperSU's unroot option

I need help. (SIM not detected, no IMEI, apparently, Backup doesn't work, etc.)

Hi.
I did a mistake by not doing a BackUp of my device 2 years ago, when I decided to install Lineage OS on my brand new HTC 10. I managed to install it, but my SIM card wasn't detected. I lost all hope, and abandoned, defeated.
But today, I decided to repair it.
So here are the different issues.
-First, with LOS, all three of the buttons at the bottom are unresponsive.
-SIM Card isn't detected, IMEI is nowhere to be found while booted up, while being visible in download mode though.
-I tried different RUUs and Backups (From here), none of them worked. I got a "MAIN_VER_FAIL" error while trying various RUUs, and my device got into a bootloop after restoring the first backup on the list.
-I checked the "no IMEI" solution here , didn't work, might give it a second shot tomorrow.
I'm willing to do just about anything to bring my HTC back from the dead.
Thanks.
(PS: I'm from Europe, any file intended for US users will thus be useless. I suppose.)

CID : unknown. I got the "cid : none" message.
MID : 2PS620000
Nougat.
I'm going to try once again. I'll update if it fails.
Well, flashed a ROM and the SIM card is detected ! However, home button unresponsive still.

Flashed Nougat???
Try this CID: HTC_621 (taiwan wwe) MID: 2PS62000
Ruu zip nougat 709 taiwan
Next: ruu zip oreo 709 taiwan
U cant install pie pixel exp.. (fagyi) after ruu oreo with daily driver (stable)
Why don’t you go into download mode and get the device info from there. Flash a ruu that has the same number as the main version shown in download mode. Don’t chase numbers shown in a custom rom as they are implemented in the software and NOT hardware related !

If he states he’s from Europe why would you suggest a Taiwan RUU ? In this case it would be more obvious to suggest a European RUU like the OREO 3.16.401 or a lower numbered NOUGAT 401 one !
And on a second note : if he is on nougat he CAN’T flash the OREO RUU as you will need to flash the FIRMWARE first and then the OREO RUU !
