Please Help ! Status 7 installation Aborted

please help
I download cm 10.1 alpha 8 and i tried to flash it
when i install the file cm 10.1 from CWM recovery tell me :
Installing Update ....
Set_perm : some changes failed
E : Error in /emmc/CM 10.1/Cm-10.1-20130813-Experimental - ancora - alpha 8.zip

if i redownload the rom , how i will put the rom in external sd card ??
my phone is do nothing except opening cwm recovery !

You can take the ext-sd from your phone .... then plug into your pc or laptop???

I am redownloading the ROM now
but can i return to gingerbread 2.3.6 in the case that my phone is now ??

Now if i want to flash my phone to your ROM
i must to return to gingerbread first ??? or i can flash my phone from CM 10.1 to your ROM directly ???

if you want to flash new ROM, you don't have to go back to GB.
just flash it like you flashed your current ROM before through CWM Recovery
BUT, we are recommend you to make nandroid backup, and do pristine before you changing or flash new ROM

Before you flash new rom, I suggest to backup your current rom,
you can do it through recovery mode, under backup and restore, and select backup to external sd card
that's it what we called nandroid backup.
The function is when your new rom installed, BUT you don't like it, so you just restore the backup,
your previous rom will back along with all your settings, data, etc.
And how to do pristine?

[Q] Problem with every rom , please help..

Today i flash new recovery cwm 6.0.4.5 i did nandroid backup.. i tried avatar rom 4.4.2 and cyanfox newest rom 4.4.2 every time i did these thinks:
factory reset / full wipe
wipe cache
wipe dalvik chae
flash rom
flash gapps
and again factory reset / full wipe
wipe cache
wipe dalvik chae
every time my rom showed up , i chosee language and then it said : unfortunately,setup wizard has stopped,, some problem with gapps
i tried many different verison of gapps . when i install cynafox rom i install official cyanfox gapps , i tried many times , but every time same error..
can someone help me please.. i dont want stuck at 4.1.1.. lg doesnt care about old devices from year 2012 . thanx for help

i think you dont need to second wipe, i mean u have to full wipe before rom flash but then u must not any wipe

If wifi fails do everything from scratch, i mean.. go to stock, root, unlock bootloader and then install rom again, i had that error one time and had to do everything from scratch

calm down its easy return to stock rom you need kdz flash. you can serch kdz update at xda
ATTENTION: 1- it could erase all your data so you hove to back up before kdz flash 2- use your usb 2.0 ports to connect the phone dont use any additional ports, usb3.0 or front usb ports (on destop pc) 3 - Before return to stock tom flash modified stock roms like savvy rom or artmod or epilson project, then you can use kdz.

Ian sorry you Dont understand Me. As I Said i have nandroid backup, Iam not noob. So i Dont have problrms With restore, But i have some pfoblem With every ROM which i flashed

Man, did you try kdz update ?? kdz not same to the nandroid it can full restore, if you cant kdz update read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2388440 if yo succeed, then root and unlock the phone again. finally flash custom rom without second wipe, sorry now i need to sleep . i will try to help you later.

try CM11 latest build i converted my F180S to E975 and flash CM11 its been two weeks everything is working awesome..:good:

great but wifi couldnt connect to my home wifi , so again to stock rom.. -_-

if someone could help me with my wifi problem , please post message , dont be shy and please when i get into my new rom , i only have 10 gb free space in storage , but i cant see any data in pc and mobile.. it is strange.. thanx for future help and answers

the data is still there in ur sdcard but its hidden.. try ex-plore and you'll the data there...
and yeah about CM11 i just find that GPS is not working

have you tried MOKEE 4.4.2? it was good also .. i have tried it.

i said thath i tried mokee... my diods started to be crazy , my green and orange diods blished at the same time and wifi doesnt work , i dont know if my gps worked i didnt try it . what is your suggestion what i must do different to avoid of wifi problems and diod problems please ??

GPS is a cm11 bug.. to make it work (tested by myself after seeing that in a rom post here in xda) you need to activate it in stock, all options, then install any Rom and GPS will work (at 90% of times at least)

are u sure that it will work?bcus i wanna try a new rom with a kernel..bcus my phone is restarting itself and im thnkg that the problem is only with kernel.also i dnt have any recovery except gpro recovery.apk.so can i flash this rom by using that?or i shuld only flash with cwm ?also by flashing with thaat recovery apk will i get strucked in boot loop?please answer me in detail

Flash with CWM, I wouldn't recommend flashing with that other app, I haven't used it so you would be testing it out on your own.
I can help you to with: how to root, how to flash a recovery, how to sideload with ADB, how to use emergency download.
Let me know if you need any of that to help you out.

my mobile is restarting frequently.thought that the problem is with the kernel.so i flashed it through lg support tool .also i made a factory reset too.but no change at all.i need a solution to this problem.also how to install cwm recovery into my phn..my phone has a stock recovery which is not cwm.so can i use that to flash ur backup rom?at last,does this work for f240l?

It only works for E980 since this is a backup made with an E980 kernel in an E980 phone, it only works with CWM.
Let me try to understand your situation, do you have an F240L? I had an issue with my E980 which started restarting very frequently and it was the battery, fortunately I had other battery and the issue was gone after swapping battery.

are u sure that the problem is with battery?bcus when i am in somethning like browsing,playing games or texting it hangs for 2-3 seconds and it restarts also sometimes poweroffs.so does changing the battery clears this issue? i am thinking that is is a hardware issue.if u know what exaclty the problem is whether the battery or hardware pls tell me.waiting for ur rply as im dying with this phone.thanku

For my personal scenario, it was the battery, charging it did not resolve the issue, I just switched to another battery and the issue was gone.

thanku soo much.i have an other doubts.
1. Can i flash any rom with lg vu2 recovery(recovery vu2.apk) ,placing in system/app/ aand rebboting to recovery.?does this work for my f240l?bcus my stock recovery is not recognising internal memory and showing sd card not found(dnt remember it exactly whether not found or something)even my sd card is placed in it.so unable to flash cwm.zip.so please suggest me other method for installing cwm other than lg gpro recovery.apk as after installing this and after resetting the phone my old g pro f240 stucked in cwm boot loop..
2. Also if vu2 recovery.apk works well,after resetting my phn does this also make to stuck in cwm recovery? sorry for my english.but i need quick rply and good suggestion from u.
3.If possible also suggest me the best rom for my f240l. thanku!!!

1.- It doesn't work.
2- N/A.
3.- The best rom is actually the same, VUPMP rom just choose you phone model varian when installing (but you do have to get to a custom recovery for that).

It has the camera fix, original ROM breaks the camera on E980, and it has the volume fix, same thing on original ROM.
That's all.

main camera problem

hi
i must say sry for my bad eng languge in first
i got 1 problem that my main camera is not working
my sec camera is work carectly
and what i do for fix?
i format catch
i format sd , system , ..... factory rest ,.....
and i change my rom , kornel , layout (new and old)
removing camera app and install another camera and ...
in all work it not work
what i must do?
i can take screen shot if u need for healping
any ide?

looks like hardware problem not software. change main camera or buy new phone. Better second one

You start your post with this

Then you are with stock rom and stock kernel and you made this things and the camera not working, the you continue with this:

and didn't help you.
like I uderstand and maybe most of the members in the XDA, you try to change the rom and kernel with hope to fix camera after you try to fix it with stock rom and kernel. I am sure you can simple say when this with camera happend before flash new rom and kernel or after that please say step by step when you see your camera not working with what rom you been and what you try to fix the camera.
And I am 99% sure it is hardware problem

Did you flash the boot.img from fastboot? When install Rom do a clean instal format System, Data, Cach and Dalvik cache. Wich recovery do you use?

recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru for old layout this is too old recovery, but the last chanse is to restore nandroid backup or stock rom and to see if the camera work. If no then hardware problem if yes then I dont know. Give me the result from command: fastboot getvar all and delete your S/N and IMEI from the info

Can't flash any stock rom

hey ppl..
i've used aosp roms for a long time.. (had stock LP before) but i cant manage to boot any stock rom (via twrp)
bootloop.. no error... tried diffrent roms and kernels.. no problem for aosp roms..

Make sure they are bumped

tried novastock, slick, clouldy, flumus..

Full wipe before flashing new rom because old data/dalvik/cache can cause problems with new rom. Do full wipe (system,cache,dalvik,data) before installation & clear dalvik/cache after installation.

thanQ but i always do like this its really weird to me.. why only aosp i can flash..

I have the same problem with mine. (d855) Tryed flashing diferent modems and I still have the problem.

Did you try to flash stock rom (kdz or tot) from lg flash tool? If no then try may be something wrong with your software or bootloader. Remember to do CSE flash.
