My watch randomly goes into theater mode. It has done this while charging, and at random times throughout the day. I can go days in a row without it happening, but then today in class it happened twice. It's getting annoying. Does anyone else have this issue?

Are you accidentally triple-pressing the button the side to activate theatre mode?

I'm pretty sure I'm not because it's on my left wrist, and my left hand doesn't really move much when I'm in class. Plus, the fact that it does it while it's charging and not even being worn is odd.

I noticed that sometimes when I use the power button to turn off my screen, after 1-2secs later, the screen turns back on again automatically on its own. Happened quite a few times Already. Anyone with the same experience?
Haven't seen it happen.
Not seen this personally but there were some occasions when I picked up the phone and the screen was on. I'd assume I'd accidentally pressed the power button when picking it up.
Didbyou enable some options in S-Motion? Some of those options will turn screen on.

It happens mostly after a new app installation. The app is usually a spam and hence it keeps on turning the screen. Try to figure it own by removing apps one by one ever since the problem started.

Yes I think this could happen when "Quick Glance " is enabled. A few days ago, I was cleaning with a cloth the screen of my Note 2 and the screen went on (I haven't pressed accidentally the power button of my phone)

No no its not quick glance.. It's almost like my power buttonmay be too ssensitive. And the screen typically turns on just 1-2secs after I turn off the screen manually. Doesn't happen frequently but still about once a day?

Have you installed any app like Pocket Sensor?
I use this amazing app, which can behave like this sometime when anything overshadows the proximity sensor.

I had exactly the same issue and maybe it's coincidence but the issue went away after I disabled Quick Glance. Been over a week now and this used to happen at least once a day.

I have EXACTLY..this problem.. it happens a few times a week to me.. Quite annoying sometimes.
I've been suspecting that its because of a application, namely, Kakao-talk, which is a IM application. I can't really recall my screen turning on suddenly when using any other app, but I will wait and see if it happens outside of Kakaotalk.
If the problem persists, i might hand it in to service...
its quite annoying sometimes. I have heard of other people having the same problem though...
i noticed my my galaxy nexus after updating to 4.2 buring more oil ! than 4.12 and i was wondering why
!!!!
i installed odex and pre rooted on Gnexus forum and now i found why it burns more battery than before !

any other guy faced this issue ?
Had this problem occassionally on Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. As far as I recall, this is android bug, sometimes triggered by third party apps. Google 'screen turning on by itself' to find out more.

I thought only I had this weird issue... its really annoying and my battery is getting drained up very fast...
Does anyone else have power on problems? Sometimes mine will only turn on when plugged in to USB. The last time I tried this it was 90% charged.
Thanks...

Nope.
Nope, no such Problems.
It's kind of weird. The power button is responsive when android is running. My screen blacks out and comes back normally. It doesn't seem like it's a hardware issue. It's just powering on. Some times it takes like 3 or 4 tries before it will power on. I have seen this before with my nexus and gtab but only when I went to a non factory rom.
I really like this tab and I don't have the blue line issue or backlighting problems. Just trying to see if this is a keeper or not.
Thanks

Maybe you should do a factory reset to see if that fixes it.
Looks like it was just the SD card I was using. I am not sure what is up with it but when I added a newer 32g it's starting normally.
I have had my Moto 360 for just over a week. For the second time the touchscreen stopped functioning. First time I resolved by turning it off (very long press hardware button) then left overnight and it was fine in the morning. Turning it off and back on again didn't help. Couldn't factory reset because no touchscreen.
Second time is now.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any clues how to resolve?
Thanks.
Edit: After left off for a while (instant off and on doesn't work) it is fine now. Anyone have any clues or better suggestions how to fix?

Yes mine has done it two or three times since the last OTA update, nothing I did to the screen had an effect, had to reboot the watch to recover.

Mine doesn't recover immediately on a reboot but it is nice to know I'm not alone in the problem. It's better to know that you've only had this problem since the OTA. That means it can be fixed in software. Thanks.
Same here
Lost "touch" today on mine. Had the 360 for about 4 weeks and not seen the problem until now. Wasn't even sure how to turn it off until I saw "very long press" - thanks!
Turning mine back on straight away was fine so it was just a turn it off and back on thing. Frustrating, but I'm glad it's a software bug rather a touch screen fault, that would be a real pain. Hopefully, if it's a bug it will be fixed.
i think.....
I think this happens when the moto 360 is not set on your wrist
Ddoes anyone solve this issue ? My new moto 360 touch screen doesnt work at all. So i can choose any language in initial setup
This problem Occurs when no static energy is given to the case of the moto360. As soo'n as You touch The Iron ring The touch Will work. Release it and it Will stop working. Ik think The touch screen works rather like a conductive layer between the back of the watch and the screen it self in which the skin gives the energy needed to control the screen. When the back of the watch isn't connected to skin the touchscreen completely stops working.
In video you see what happens
https://youtu.be/KpQ-dqWYO6s
Mine did this too, however I broke my screen ordered a replacement and haven't had the issue since. When mine quite working if I triple pressed the power button it lock the screen then pressing the power button it would turn on and work though. Sometimes it wouldn't come right back on like it froze or something.

I've been having this problem too, it's more like my weekend watch but last week i noticed that it wasn't responding and i thought it could be a RAM issue. I've done multiple reboots and it doesn't work.
There was only an occasion where i left it overnight till it almost drained completely and it worked again, and then it started freezing again.
Okay, so I've had this happen on more than one occasion but today it lasted for a longer period of time. I was playing Clash of Clans and looking for an opponent to steal from. I wasn't happy with the one presented and clicked to find another opponent. Well, I was launched into war. As I clicked on a location and held to deploy multiple troops, other troops were deployed elsewhere - as if I had touched the screen in multiple locations at once. Once the battle ended, I went back to train up more troops, and when I clicked and held to train multiple units of one type, it would add multiples of other troop varieties. So, it seemed as if the screen was interpreting a single tab-and-hold in one location as multiple taps in multiple locations.
At that point I figured it was time to try a reboot. Once the phone rebooted I went to enter my lock screen code and pressing a single digit resulted in multiple other digits being added to the input. I waited a minute and re-entered the screen lock code successfully.
I've gone back into Clash of Clans and it continues to demonstrate similar behavior at times. It seems as if it is more sensitive to this toward center-left (phone in landscape), which is where I usually double tap to wake the phone. Could it be related to the double tap gesture? I suppose I'll turn that off and see.
Anybody else experience strange screen-tap input issues?

That's weird
turn on glove mode in the display setting, it will show the taps on the screen. Now you can tell if there are multiple taps. I'm not sure but maybe you can check out apps that troubleshoot screen sensitivity.
I hope it's not a hardware problem.

It is very strange. I did some googling and found this thread from android central: http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m8/453052-htc-one-m8-touch-screen-randomly-registers-multiple-places.html
I enabled developer tools and I have been able to see the screen register input points other than where I have touching the screen. At first I thought that perhaps it had to do with being on the USB charger, so I moved to an HTC wall charger, granted it's from my old M7. I was just playing a round of CoC when it did it again. I am now going to see if happens when not charging. If it does, then I am afraid it will have to be returned. I have only had it 18 days or so, and I believe that HTC offers a 30 day return policy.

An update: I turned off the developer mode option "show touches", turned on glove mode and then restarted the phone. When the phone is on the charger, if I press on the screen there are multiple dots displayed in a vertical manner along the screen. This behavior does not occur if I unplug the phone. I have tried 3 different charging devices (the one that came with the phone, an older one from an M7 and the laptop output) and with each the behavior is consistent: once plugged in and the charging circuit is active, the screen lights up in a vertical manner. If I unplug or it reaches 100%, then it behaves as expected.
Not sure if this is a software conflict issue, or a hardware issue. Feels like the latter and I have 10 days to return it to HTC.
Any ideas?

Well, funny you ask. We have an AT&T microcell just 15 feet from my office. And, here is where it gets interesting - this issue does not occur on the other side of the building from me. Our building is not big, 60' x 40', and on the other side of the building I can have the phone plugged in and everything works just fine. So...I am going to go turn off the microcell and see what happens.
<walks over and unplugs the microcell>
Bingo! The cause is the microcell. So...why does it have that affect?
By the way, thanks as I would not have gone there. I was wondering about the building's electrical and whether it was possible to have "noise", but figured it would be negated by the charger.
I have a surface pro 3 and I had the same problem when using the stylus, it kept registering points every where on the screen but when I took to the University the problem was gone. I was going to return it but thanks to the guys at the forms who figured it out. Anyway its not a big deal and I think the problem will go away after sometime. This is due to the magnetic field and things I don't understand lol.
You're good to go m8
The EVO3D had this problem too and was actually quite a common issue.
Makes me wonder what causes it and why HTC never bothered to fully protect against such issue showing up again..

Hi all,
Bit of an odd problem my S9+ seems to have developed. Since I got the September update a few days a go, my Exynos S9+ on Three (but unlocked/unbranded) in the UK keeps on turning the Always on Display on.
I have it turned off by default, but on occasion when I plug it in it'll reactivate it. It doesn't happen all the time, only occasionally, but it does happen often enough for it to be annoying. I had a to add the AOD short cut to the pull down menu to be able to quickly turn it off, so it definitely wasn't something I was accidentally pressing (at least not until I added that button, but it is on the second page of shortcuts).
Anyone else having this problem since the update? Or have I just got a weird phone with a mind of its own?!
Thanks
Always on Display
Hi, I got my Samsung Galaxy S9 2 days ago and it is sort if driving me nuts!
The minute I get a mail or notification from the many groups I'm in- the screen flashes- I guess it's the lock-screen.
I turned off the "Always On Display" but it still flashes...
Is there any way to stop this... I'm a little ADD and it's really annoying.
At he moment I'm just turning it upside down so as not to see it!
Thanks in advance- Robin
