Hi all,
WOndering if anyone can help.
I recently agreed to take a look at my friends SM-T210 Tab 3, as it was stuck in a boot loop and the screen was flashing and pulsing constantly making it impossible to do anything with the tablet.
I managed to reflash the original 4.4.2 firmware using Odin so the tablet now boots up fine. But, the screen still flashes in a pulsing fashion and also looks like it has really bad screen burn.
Could this be a hardware rather than a software issue?
He bought the tablet 2nd hand from ebay so I have no idea if it has been rooted previously or not. Would rooting the device solve a problem like this?
I can provide pics and potentially video if this will help

Hello! I am new to XDA Developers. I have been reading for ages now, but i had never created an account until now.
I have fully searched this issue with my Galaxy S II and i can't find any answers.
First i will describe what my phone is running.
Jedi Mind Trick V9
Faux Kernel 012
pretty much Jedi Mind Trick Stock, no custom kernel or radio etc.
Second i will describe the situation.
I was making a phone call when suddenly the phone cut off, then i went to look at the screen and all the screen would do when i pressed the power button was flicker in a screen with rainbow colors, (my video will explain visually what this is).
I have tried everything from a hard reset to recovery mode and so far i cant find any answers.
I also opened the phone and swapped the LCD display with an exact model and the same thing happened on the other LCD screen which leads me to believe either something fried on the motherboard or something software-wise crapped out.
The phone has not been dropped recently or mistreated, just used normally with a few wear and tear.
Please i hope someone can help me, as i have no way of getting another phone for the moment.
(apparently i can't post videos yet but if you send me a message i will send you the YouTube link)
Warranty to samsung or T-Mobile
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
It for sure seems like internal or software issues. If you can't flash a ROM then your most likely bricked. You could use ODIN as a last-ditch effort to get your phone to work. Good luck!!
Hello everybody,
I recently bought a Nexus 7 LTE. I decided to unlock and root it with WugFresh's Toolkit. The process worked out fine and I didn't have any problems.
But one day later I got some trouble with it. Sometimes when I unlocked the device there was a kind of colored pixel noise. The Nexus then didn't react to the touchscreen and I was only able to deactivate the screen with the power button. The pixel noise stayed for around 5 min and then disappeared. This issue happened multiple times, so I sent back the device to the manufacturer and got a new one.
My question is, was the reason for this problem the unlocking and rooting or is it a hardware issue? Could it happen again when I root my new device?
If you need pictures, device or software information, just tell me,
Thanks for any help
Hardware is my guess

My guess is it is hardware. I have seen something like this with a bad video cable connection. Just a guess, though.
Any time you suspect it is a different ROM and you are about to send it back, try to return your Nexus to stock and see if it goes away.

I did that, otherwise they wouldn't have taken it back. Interesting is that the issue occurred on the stock ROM as well after I flashed it.
Hello All,
I have been perusing the forums in an attempt to fix an issue I am having with my month old Galaxy Note 2014 Ed. Here are the details:
WiFi Only
Model: SM-P600
Android Version: 4.3
Kernel: 3.4.39-2040736
Build Number: Jss15J.P600UEUBMK1
What it's doing: So this has been happening sporadically since I first received the device. It will crash and power the screen off (not turn itself all the way off, just kill the screen). It will then either power itself back on or wait for input from me then it will flash a blue screen before going back to whatever app I have open. This issue can be duplicated, too, by touching any of the corners of the device; the tablet will flash off then back on. I have wiped my device back to stock with no luck. I have terminated all the bloatware the Samsung has placed on the device with no luck. The infuriating part is that my wife has, what I believe to be, the exact same device except in white and she has no trouble with her table. I am hoping the community will be able to give me some information as to what to do.
I have not rooted this device yet, but would be willing to if it will fix the issues I am experiencing. I also purchased the extended warrenty if this turns out to just be lemon machine, but I feel that this is more software than hardware at this point (I honestly suspect it is a memory leak somewhere but I can not isolate it). I appreciate the time guys, Thank You.
EDIT: It appears to be the case I was using. I did some more research and found that the exact case I was using is effecting the digitizer. I will be getting a new case immediately.
I know this post is somewhat old, but would you happen to have the link to the case? I want to see if its the same case I'm using as I'm having some issues with my P600
Thanks in advance
Hello !
After performing of hard reset, my secind Note II started to diplaying bootloader without possibility to boot android normally. I went to authorized service where they tried to put new version of the system. When I came back to service for my phone, turns out that mainboard should bereplaced because after updating of android problem is worse than before. Now after powering on of the phone, on screen are only strange strips and nothing is going on.
Phone is not covered by warranty so it means that I have to buy new phone or somehow fix this one but it will cost a lot. On that Note II I didn't make any changes with the software before problem or after.
Anyboda has idea is there is any hope to fix my phone without replacing mainboard?
Here is image of my phone.
Thanks in advance.

I have a A50 (SM-A505GT, Brazil) with Android 11 (U7) with an unresponsive touchscreen, no sound and no mic. This problem happened last thursday, april the 29th. Last year this phone had its AMOLED screen replaced with an aftermarket one, after got the original broken. When I say screen I meant screen and touch, they come in one single unit.
To test the touchscreen, I swapped the installed screen with a new one but the touch kept unresponsive. Using ODIN, I also tried to install the newest ROM and after that tried to downgrade to Android 10. Both binary 7, but without success.
I already bought a new phone but this thing keeps itching to know what happened. So, does anybody have any clue what's going on with this phone?
Can a software problem cause the touchscreen to stop working even after a fresh ROM installed? Or this could be a hardware problem in a subsystem of the phone interfering with all that?
Thanks in advance!
Same issue here. I replaced my screen last year (A505W) without issue. I was happily using my phone again until Samsung forced an OTA update and now my new screen no longer responds to touch. I will never buy a Samsung product again. :/
