Hi,
Anyone tried widows 10 preview release on Lumia 900?

*bump*
I'd like to know that, too. Is it even possible, as the Lumia 900 doesn't even run WP8?

No, and this has been explained hundreds of times.

Word has it Windows 7 will need at least the 1ghz Snap Dragon processor.
Does anybody have any validation on this?
How hard would it be to swap out the processor?
Any sites out there that have disected the TP2?
Will Windows have an upgrade that will be compatible for the current TP2?
I hope this is all just speculation.

1) Yes
2) 101% difficulty factor
3) See attachment
4) 6.5 is probably as far as the TP2 will get official upgrades for. If it does ever get anything further, it certainly won't be that new "Windows Phone Series 7".
Your insurance against this is all around you my friend. Look...see...learn.

Thats a joke, right?
Using the beautiful Lumia 900, but could not find a way to capture the screen and save it as jpg file. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Your phone needs to be developer unlock to sideload the homebrew app, Screen Capture.

thank you very much for your suggestion.

No question sub-forum, so I'm posting here.
So the AT&T and Rogers have got a update for the Lumia 900 to:
OS version: 7.10.8779.8
Firmware revision number: 2175.2301.8779.12223
I'm stuck on:
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 2175.2101.8779.12201
I was just wondering what all the other UK users are on? Or anyone else in Europe.
I want the Camera Enhancement they've made in the Nokia Firmware! Unless we already have it?
I'm on the same version and Zune says its the lastest for my phone (Lumia 900 T-mobile NL).
Same as you mate, I'm in the UK. I guess we will have to wait!

Hi, i got bored and used the Nokia Care suite to update mine to 8779. Just followed the instructions on xda for At&t version and swapped the files to the UK versions. Worked fine.
Camera improvement was what i was after... didn't make any difference at first glance. Also had a slight issue with the date changing to 1980!! after initial flash quick off/on sorted that.
i'm no expert so can't support anyone.
cheers

Where did you get the 8779 files from for the UK?
RM-823 is our model name right?

This is the guide I used. my model is RM-823. the Nokia care suite tells you which you have. The downloader has all the files for all countries and versions.

Phone is allot snapier, I kept getting a scrolling issue which has now gone. Camera still crappy but then I am coming from gsiii and iPhone 4s so may its not that bad.
Just like me, I still have my Galaxy S3, but Window Phone 8 looks really interesting so I wanted to get used to it first with Window Phone 7 and cheers, hopefully I can find the update.
EDIT: I'm only able to find this update for our device ' 2175.2101.8779.12201' not '2175.2301.8779.12223' along with not able to find the Window update 7.10.8779.8.
Just curious what you did? I followed the instruction.

I can't remember now... I just know it was 8779. I am back to the iPhone atm but might check for you this weekend. I thought as long as I was on 8779 I would see the benefit on the camera.
Anyone else notice the new 8779 build available via Nokia Car Suite? I've flashed it to my new Cyan 900 and it runs very well. Have been fortunate to have app hub account so unlocked but looking forward to interop unlock and custom roms.
I was a little disappointed that screen was just flat though, half of the funky factor of the 800 was that curved screen and it's ability to distribute glare and reflections a bit more.
I got the 8779 update through Zune.

See my signature.
Is there going to a jailbreak coming out soon for the rm-808? All I see is rm-823(?) custom roms out. I really miss my android features like the screenshot and the ability to install unknown software onto it.
I also made a RM-808 rom.
I think it was you, who asked me if i could also cook one for RM-808, right?
So, my SimpleROM v1.0 is also available for RM-808.
But the method of "jailbreaking" (i hate this word ) your Lumia 900 RM-808 is exactly the same as the RM-823.
So, unlock your bootloader, then you're free to flash.
But this atf box(?) is kind of expensive

then go and find a phone's repair shop in your town, which have an ATF box.
I'm sure they can do this for you for a small amount.
What about those jtag wires(?) . I think it is called that. Will there be a possibility that they'll open the phone up and solder it in too
