move games to SD card - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a SM-t210 with root. I could not move apps to SD card on this tablet.
initially, the "move to SD" button was deactivated.
Then I entered shell and issued following command:
"pm set-installation-location 2"
Now the button for moving to SD is active and it seems to work. But after it completes, I still have same storage on internal and external space.
How can I move them ?
Thanks

Moving apps onto SII SD card

Hi guys I think this is the most appropriate place for this thread. This is also my first post so go easy on me. I have a SII (rooted with CM9) and I'm having problems moving apps to my external 8gig MicroSD.
The problem is that this phone appears to be partitioned so there is internal memory and "SD card" memory which is also internal I noticed this before the purchase of the MicroSD. After I inserted the microSD and turned on my phone I went to locate my SD using 'ES File Explorer' my phones "SD card" is located under "/sdcard" and my ACTUAL microSD is found in "/mnt/emmc".
My questions are why is my actual SD identified as emmc (I'm not even sure what that means)
and
How can I get my phone to move apps to my external microSD and not what the phone thinks is my SD card which is actually internal phone memory
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The bad news is, you canĀ“t place apps on the real external SD card.
But you could place other thing like pictures and music there to save space on the internal storage (internal sdcard).
Ps.: I think the meaning of emmc is External MultiMedia Card
There is unfortunately no easy way to move it to external SD. However, if you are interested to dig more, I'll just say that I am doing it by binding a custom mount point. It is a dirty method though.

How to really move apps to external SD card?

Hi, I installed pawitp's Cyanogenmod 12 port for the Grand Duos. I have noticed that when I attempt to move an app to the external SD card, it is merely moved to /storage/sdcard0 which is the internal "SD Card" aka internal storage of just 4 GB. How can I ensure that "move to SD card" really moves to the external card /storage/sdcard1? There is a 2011 thread announcing a tool called "Directory Bind" which allow to move data directories around, but
1. is there no other solution requiring less manual interference
2. does the tool still work in newer versions of android?
Hi, replying to myself: It seems that there is no builtin way of achieving what I want, there is no way of telling the package manager that an app should be installed on the actual physical sdcard rather that on the "internal sd card". So I resorted to using the helper app link2sd: I created a second partition one the SD card which I formatted with the EXT3 file system (I initially tried EXT4, but so my surprise, it wasn't mountable, the kernel seems to be lacking support for it.) Link2sd can move apps there and create symlinks where the system expected the apps. This seems like an awful kludge, I was expecting that the package manager has some official way of dealing with the space shortage, which is a common problem on mobile devices, but for now it works.

Help, i can't move my apps to external sd card

So I'm using htc desire 620g dual sim and i already rooted my phone successfully. Then i installed link2sd and lucky patcher just so i can move my apps to my ad card since my internal storage is running low. When i tried link2sd it said that "app2sd is not supported by your device because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from your internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your sd card." So i did just that, i tried linking to sd card but then it said that "/data/sdext2 mount not found. After that, i tried using lucky patcher, i selected sd card as the default memory on the toolbox part but when i tried moving ghe apps it said " Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE] but then i have 22gb left in my sd card.
Please help, i don't know what to do anymore. Please help.

What happens to the encryption key on forget sd card?

Hi guys,
Recently my sd card, formatted as internal storage, got inaccessible for the phone for some reason.
If "forget sd card" option was selected, does it wipe out the sd card encryption key from /data/misc/vold?
Does it make sense to root the phone and try to extract the key?
