no rumour, sammobile tweeted " Lollipop will be released around March/ April "
So how will Lollipop work given the buttons that are available on the Tab S e.g. Home , previous apps and Back buttons?

I don't see how its a problem. All the Samsung phones have the same arrangement of buttons. Verizon has already released it for the Galaxy S5.

Lol, I disabled that damned capacitive keys!
I only use gestures from GMD gesture control for back and recent apps
Hope to see Lollipop soon on this great device!

How do you disable those keys? And do you need to reboot to make this active or could it be done on the fly? They do bother me when I'm holding the tablet (10.5) in portrait mode.
I'm also using GMD gesture on tablets, much easier than using those buttons.
Edit: never mind, just found there's a thread about it.
Why don't you just root it and ROM it blisspop

I don't think it's possible without rebooting
You have to edit 'generic.kl' file in /system folder, of course you need root

At the moment, there is not, but maybe in the future the P6 will support this action.

I just saw this yesterday on xda news. Requires kitkat tho.
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/forget-about-notification-leds-with-acdisplay-app/
It might be what you're looking for. However, I have never tried it and I don't know if it will work for huawei p6. I'm not sure if it works with double tapping screen... but I assume that it should since it is imitating the moto x lockscreen.
EDIT: On google play now. No need for root I think.

The Active notification feature requires AMOLED screen for best performance, while Huawei devices don't use AMOLED screen. And its not the same as LG's tap to wake feature, which is compatible with our device.
Right

I had this feature, it's really handy, but yes it's completely not related with the DT2W
Hi all,
I've looked everywhere and I can't be the only one who wants this.....
Is there not a way to swap the placement of the back key ala LG G2? It's driving me nuts and is the only thing that is keeping this phone from being perfect (for me) can ANYONE please lend a helping hand?
Thanks

This was the first thing I noticed coming form the LG G2 as well, and haven't found a way yet. Why would they put the back button all the way to the left, it is driving me crazy as it is the most used button!

auto hide soft key's works, but is there any way to use it without the auto-hide/quick bar stuff?
I can't believe there isn't a way to create the same thing that LG has done for this phone. All manufactures should offer this. It's not like HTC didn't "borrow" the knock feature so this shouldn't be a stretch....
I don't get it. I've used Android for years and this is how it is on every device other than Samsung phones. I would just get used to it. Odds are you'll have to anyway in the future.

Never!!!! Lol, I hate that its on the left side. I hold my phone mostly in my right hand and hate how I now need to stretch my hand across to back arrow. This is one area I really do believe Samsung got it right. It's more natural on the right side of the phone. Even if you strongly disagree , at least do what LG has done and give me the option to make it how I want it. If I want to be told how something should be without the option to change it I may as well have a iPhone!

I don't think this app allows you to change the placement of the soft keys does it? I don't see anything in the description that implies that, more meant to just hide the keys.

Yeah, it replaces the nav bar and let's you choose between a bunch of other different themed nav bars. I just can't get it to work without its quickbar feature/autohide.
Hi guys
since we tave tablets..naturally the app passcode screen is huge
is it possible and if so how can it be made much smaller etc?
thx in advance!
Same question here.
But I believe it depends on each app.
Yeah..im wondering if root can resize app passlocks???
Nope, unless there was an app for that purpose that requires root

Don't think there's a way to natively change that. Your best bet is to root and check out Xposed Modules (if they even exist yet, I'm not sure).
Usually that's the only way to do stuff like that. Or custom ROMs with such settings built-in. I'm looking forward to being able to add another "option's" button on the nav bar. Sucks by default its usually up top.

Used to the Samsung way of doing it? But there's no way to do it stock.
swap recent and back button is inside gravity box. As is all the other must haves. To me personally that is.
I'm waiting patiently for exposed, it'll be a while.> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed
Came from an s6. I do think the Samsung placement is better since I'm right-handed and use one hand a lot, so the back key on the right is a perfect placement. You do get used it though.
How to enable multi window in htc m9 Android 7? Please provide pictures.
For some reason I can't find the option any where
Long press recent apps button! Google is a very handy tool btw.
Hi Philicibine. Long pressing recent apps doesn't actually do anything on the m9 with Android 7.
Does anyone else know how to do this?

Er... Yes it does!
Long press, and then select the second app you want to split.
It might do something on your phone, but it doesn't on mine. If I long press it absolutely nothing happens.
I have tried to find a setting in the phone that might enable it but can't find anything.

You're wrong and your screenshots are not from an m9.
There is no split screen on htc unless you activate it manually in build.prop and even then you have no real control over it.

Er... I hate to say it but.. it's an m9 on stock EU ROM with nothing tinkered with. No root whatsoever.

This used to be true but the Nougat update brought split screen to the M9.
when in recent apps menu click on the settings icon in the corner and change recent apps style to GRID FROM CARD and then you will be able to do it

Split screen work normally on stock nougat without any modifications...
Wysłane z mojego HTC One M9 przy użyciu Tapatalka
as far as i know the app had to support the split screen
Split screen works on my M9, and always has since 7.0.
Currently running 7.1.2 but can confirm it works on stock 7.0 as well.
I have stock 7.0 and it's working well, you need to have Layout to Card view, then open an app(youtube for example) and long press recents button.
Works fine in my m9, just set the recent apps layout to cards and you shoul be able to(you can anable the option to force apps that dont support split screen to do it in the developer settings).
