I was wondering if there is a way to increase the number of clicks needed to activate the Send Help alerts. The system now requires 3 rapid power button pushes to activate. Can it be increased to 5 button pushes? I mistakenly activated the alerts this weekend and would like to avoid this in the future.

Sometimes I accidently turn ringer volume down low (not mute) and miss an important call.
I’ve found apps such as Ringer Volume (Android-Lab) to reset it at given times, however they all wants ‘full Internet access’ don’t know if I like that with an app that will be constantly running and with my limited data allowance?
Another option would be a taskbar icon showing my volume level; however I cannot find any such widget.
It’s not mute that give me the problem it’s when I decrease the Ring Volume sometimes by accident when holding my Desire HD, with CyanogenMod 7.
Anyone got any suggestions on this?
there's an app called Settings Profile that u can set rules to do stuff, so u can set a rule to keep invoking a certain profile at whatever interval you want. The Lite version can only set 1 rule so I am not sure if that's good enough for you or not.
Hi Lukesky, thanks for taking the time to help.

I think I had looked at Setting Profiles before but just had another look and my concern with it is that it takes Full Internet Access, perhaps I’m being paranoid but I only have 20Mb of data per day and then the price per Mb goes up dramatically, let alone when I’m roaming, OK I know I could turn Data off if I wanted. So do you think the Lite App will be using data via its internet access?
here u go buddy...its simple quick and fast.... i use it all the time and place as widget
Thanks Lalitehgal, I appreciate your help however unless I’m mistaken this widget has no option for an auto timed volume increase, and my problem is I sometimes do not realize I have decreased the volume while holding the phone.
@richardsoffice: in my opinion you should definitely not be required to adjust ringtone or notification volume manually. Because once - in office - you are satisfied, but then - on the street - you just don't hear anything. The phone should adjust the ringtone volume automatically based on ambient noise and phone position (pocket/out of pocket/table/...). Check out an app called IntelliRing.
Manually adjusting ringtone volume does not do any harm if your ringtone volume is managed by IntelliRing. So you can accidentally adjust volume as you want
Hello,
I have Gnex GSM version, bought from Amazon.de.
I have the latest official firmware 4.0.2, received it promptly.
Today i was at the hospital, to see a person dear to me, and i put the phone on silent. The phone would increase the volume by itself.
It did not go crazy or sumth, however it would not stay silent.
I tried turning off the data network (3g/2g) as the [repeating] change between all data speeds seemed to trigger it (though i cannot tell for sure).
This did not fix things.
What eventually SEEM to have fixed the problem was quiting from the app i have running called LLama (this is an app which according to your location/signal [NOT GPS] performs certain actions and events such as profile changes.).
Conclusion? is this the volume bug? why is it still there if that is the case?!
I am annoyed and looking for help as i know there are a lot of experts here.
Thanks
Regards,
Llama has an option to disable volume buttons, which is useful to prevent profile changes when you press a volume button. You can manually choose another profile (silent) or disable that feature in Llama settings - Disable volume buttons.
my issue calling say customer support placing the phone on speaker while on hold and the screen turns off requiring me to use the lock/power button. Well I really like and have become accustomed to using the power button to end calls. (When its not activated i have forgot to hang up on voice mails before and left 15 min voice mails of basically pocket dialing sounds.
So is their a way to set the screen timeout for the phone to just not close while connected? I have set my screen time for 10 min and it still closes while calling in about a minute. Now this is only of course a speaker phone problem as with such services you need the keypad available.
So what i do is instead of getting to simply wait on hold with no problems on speaker waiting until i hear something i have to at least every 30 sec to 1 min activate the screen i normally keep pushing the keypad button to open and close it to keep from being cut off.
Now is their any way I can have my cake and eat it too. Basically i don't want to turn off "end call with power button" but i suppose i can disable it before i make such a call.
Also i am kinda rom searching, the only thing i need is call recording as I have the legal need for it currently. I know several roms support it but not all of them as I am no dev not by a mile all i can do it love the stuff you devs do for me and i appreciate it :highfive: especially the guys that dev roms and such only for donations with no play store revenue.
I bet halo or something like it will get into android soon i think its better than Samsung's multi-window for a phone and multi-window is only good on a tablet (although i dont recall a tablet with it..)
Thanks in Advance
Is there any place (or a best place?) to submit feature requests for Wear? I can post here but I do not know if anyone from Google will get the message. OTOH, I've seen some mentions of feature requests here and other members posted apps or tips and tricks to meet the need. The features I'm thinking of are:
- double tap on the screen or the button to bring up the most recent app. (Someone else mentioned this and I really like it.) I use my watch when running so to bring up my running app I need to (1) opening the screen, (2) expanding the notification, (3) swipe to the side to get the "open app" screen and (4) tap on the "open screen button." This is a real PITA while running and is further exacerbated by profuse perspiration confusing the watch WRT my touch. It would be nice if the app could cooperate and return to the last active screen as well. An alternative to this would to tie a particular app to the double tap via configuration entry.
- Ability to turn the screen off during charging. The 'tips and tricks' answer to this is just too involved when I'm ready to slip into bed! Maybe if I could program or script the actions... There are times when the screen turns off when I place the watch in charger and that would be fine as a configuration option. Other times it seemed like I can do that by palming the screen or tapping the button (but this doesn't normally work.) That would be useful too.
- Single button press to activate the button on a screen. Back to my use case for running... It can be difficult to get the pause/stop button to register due to perspiration. This one is a little problematic because it conflicts with the existing function to turn the screen off with a button tap. However palming the screen with sweaty hands seems to be easily recognized vs. scrolling or tapping a button.
I'd like to have an option to have the mic on the watch turn on when accepting a call from the watch. There are times when my phone is upstairs and I get an incoming call on my watch. It would be nice to be able to answer the call and give the person on the other line a heads up that you need a second or two to get your phone. Once the call is accepted on the watch, there could be a button that transfers the live mic to the phone.
Hi there
Sometimes when I receive an email the notification will not show up on the phone, that is no sound and no led notification.
However as soon as I press the power button or unlock the screen the notification will pop up.
It is almost as if the device goes to sleep state when screen is turned off.
The emails that I miss at times due to this problem are time sensitive and really important for my work.
Such delays are at times resulting in direct monetary loss.
This was never an issue on my Galaxy Note 3 from which I have upgraded.
Can anyone of you guide and assist me as to which settings need to be changed to get it to work properly.
Many thanks for your time.
I have a simmilar issue here. Some notifications show up normally, like mail and facebook, but other apps only show notifications if i have they are opened.
It's like the system is forcing close those apps.

Still haven't found any solution.
Things I have tried :
1. Going to Power Master > Battery Mode > Balance
Thinking that in other modes it would kill background apps to save power.
2. Went to Power Master > Autostart Manager > Added apps I need notifications to start on system startup.
Apart from the mentioned problem, I see another one.
I opened What's app notification setting and turned Group Notifications off and Message notifications are set to show silently and minimize.
However the app itself changes the setting and forces messages on screen by itself over riding my changes. Have been happening since a long time now no matter how many times I change the settings.
Update if you can find any resolution.
