[Q] MHL support for PA 4.6 beta 5 - Paranoid Android Q&A

Hi,
I've read some old topics whereas it seems Paranoid Android doesn't support MHL.
Just wanted to make sure if the latest version (PA 4.6 beta 5) I have installed on my S3 i9300 does support it or not.
And if not, will MHL work if I go back to stock? (I've connected the mobile to the TV with an MHL adapter, but there was no signal).
Thanks!

Should video out via HTC cable work on CM9?

Bought the HTC micro USB to RCA cable so we could connect to RCA inputs on rear entertainment system in 2912 Honda Pilot. Burned three of the kids' movies and converted to AVI but no audio or video is going to vehicle system. Made sure I had vehicle source set to aux video input and the movie plays fine on Inc using MX Player.
Any ideas? Using latest CM9 from Drk.HD. Do I need to go back to stock software from HTC? Anyone successfully using TV/video out capability of Inc with a custom rom?

I don't know about custom Sense ROMs, but TV-OUT doesn't work on any AOSP ROMs (which includes CM9/AOKP/CM7, among others).
Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a sense rom that has confirmed functioning TV out for the DInc?

Anything based on stock firmware, ie sense 1.0 roms that are not ported from evo, should have full functionality. Some examples are mcsense, stock plus, touch of blue. Other roms that have sense 2.0 or higher may work but only the stock HTC sense 1 firmware and roms based on it are guaranteed to work.

[Q] Does HDMI out work on in CM10.1?

On searching the CM10.1 thread I found a post that said HDMI out was working but I haven't been able to make it work myself. Can anyone confirm whether HDMI out is supported in the CM10.1 nightly builds and if it is, how to get it to work? I have the Samsung HDMI adapter.
Thanks!
It depends on the kernel, not the rom

any rom with HDMI mhl on GT N-7100 (international version)

any rom with HDMI mhl on GT N-7100 (international version) please state it here together with your comments.
so far i have been testing:
pacman rom n7100_PAC_JB_4.2.2-v23.0.0
jelly bam v8.1 android 4.2.2
★V-3★][ ★Sungsonic™HD★][★Ultra Fast★][★DTS Audio★][★ROCK STABLE★]
HaWKiSH™EXTREME SERIE v2 dme1 android 4.1.2 (works with MHL HDMI)
only hawkish worked with samsung original hdmi adapter for gt-n7100 and to add to this is that none of either of this roms works with the integrated flash player as they state. but its an easy fix with just installing the latest adobe flash player manually.
also none of this roms works with allshare cast. it tries to connect and then the phone reboots automatically.
i love the jelly bam and the pac man rom is also very good its hard to choose a favourite of these 2 as they are very similiar. of they only could support hdmi through mhl adapter!
pls let me know if you tested any rom that works with hdmi to tv through mhl adapter on samsung galaxy note 2 gt-n7100 international version. thx alot for any comments appreciate it.

Every ROM with touchwiz, based on a stock rom. Like hawkish. I prefer Omega for TW ROM's and Slim Bean for custom, which is also doesn't support MHL output.
xdafundorin is correct - as of now, only TouchWiz based ROMs have working MHL TV out. I believe Samsung uses proprietary closed-source drivers to operate the HDMI out, much in the same way that TW ROMs support exFAT MicroSD cards. AOSP ("Stock" Android) based ROMs have neither.

Android kitkat and Miracast bug/issue

I have been avoiding android kitkat mainly because Miracast doesn’t work well (if at all) on kitkat like it used to be on jellybean roms.
I don’t know if it is a bug or maybe I'm just doing something wrong here.
I'm currently using Netgear Push2TV Adapter ptv3000. The connection between them simply fails on kitkat. It doesn't even connect.
Basically, I'm using miracast to mirror Netflix from N7 to my HDTV.
I recently heard something about kitkat Adreno drivers causing some video playback issues.
Plz advice. Thanks in advance.

Make Logitech K360 Keyboard work on Nexus 2013

I am hoping that someone may know the answer to this problem I am having
I got a wireless Logitech K360 Keyboard and mouse M310, and they will not work on Nexus 7 2013 (Kitkat 4.4.2). I got a USB OTG adapter, of course. The setup works great on my Galaxy Nexus (Cyanogen 11 Kitkat ROM)
From my research, someone said Logitech did not support Nexus 7 2013 (???). I have tried 4 different kernels provided in this forum (Don't try Franco and Glitch, or you won't be able to get passed the boot screen. I had to remove battery and go back to stock kernel in recovery!)
I have not tried any custom ROM, not sure they will work. Anyone knows one?
Thank you for your input!

Just tried K360 and Performance MX mouse, doesn't work on OmniROM. Works fine on S4 i9505 EchoeROM.
The Logitech K400 Keyboard and combined Touchpad works great out of the box on Nexus 7 2013.
